Consumer Reports, JD Powers, Edmunds, have all ranked Jeep poorly when it comes to reliability. Also, my dad had a 2004 GC, the thing rattled and squeaked like an old house, and the transmission shook the entire car when changing gears. Not to mention the ride was rough and fuel economy was poor. It did handle snowy roads well in the winter, when it chose to start that is. Jeep has to make improvements in transmission, electrical system, and chassis rigidity to make the GC a real winner.

Nice design, not quite as handsome as a Range Rover Sport or MB GLK, but interior and exterior styling look more like a luxury SUV than a econo-box. It's Quadra system looks to be every bit as good as the RR Sport's Terrain Response System. If Jeep can just improve reliability to at least average, I will seriously consider buying one, though that's probably not going to happen unless Chrysler changes their production line so it's similar to that of Ford, Toyota, or Honda. So thumbs down still!

You can get 300 thousand miles easy with any Jeep, but the Jeep Cherokee 4.0L will last you about 400 thousand miles. If you want to talk about improving reliability point the finger Range Rover/ and land rover. they are unreliable pieces of junk.

As much as I hate american cars especially Chrysler products, but I got to admit the new redesigned Grand Charokee is very nice looking interir and exterior wise and the options are very nice as well. Very expensive though let's see how re-sale value would be like but ofcourse not as good as the Honda Pilot like kbb claimed!!

The previous generation 4runner was better, the new one is heavier, uglier, has a cheap ass interior, and is expensive but no longer has the high quality interior to justify the high price. If the new Jeep GC is reliable, Id buy one, I love the luxurious looking interior and styling way more. Looks really refined and expensive

This new Jeep is great. I have 20 of these in my fleet at work and they are WAY better than what they replaced. The interior is no longer garbage and the new V6 is superior in any measure. I'd like to drive one with the Hemi V8.
