people have signed up for the army, they thought they would be serving their country... fighting for the wrong reasons. but there are some good reasons that there are marines in iraq, because my brother is in the army and he has seen many sunnis and shiites treated horribly. they give them support and help there. i have the upmost respect for any soldiers. There is a difference between being forced to fight for something you dont believe is right, and volunteering for something that you know is not right. War should ALWAYS be a last resort. The fact is most people who call themselves soldiers dont join because they have "LOVE" for their country, but instead are looking for a check at the end, some other benefit that the military decides to reward them with.

If there was a draft, the Iraq ware would have ended long ago. In John Irving's classic book about the Vietnam era ( A Prayer for Owen Meaney) the central character supports the draft because he says it's the only way to make Americans pay attention to foreign policy.

Being against a war does not mean you can't support it. Without the major protets in Iraq and Afghanastan and Vietnam we could have easily won each war. As a male citizen of the United States you can be drafted and you are required, if need be to fight for your country.

Well we cant blame everything on religion becausue the books such as the bible wee survival guides for timeds when nothing could really be enforced like law(i think) but yes religions like catholicism has caused terrible things and basically all dogmatic religions like them cant lead to antything ghood but i believe buddhism and sikhism are good and nessersary for peace because bothe teach knowledge rather than faith (most of the time lol)

pearl harbor was the last straw. there was other things like their unrestricted submarine warfare on our merchant ships bringing supplies to england and such. There was also the Zimmerman Telegram that Germany sent to Mexico asking them to attack the U.S. and they would help them gain back land they lost to the U.S. just saying...
