Definitely agree. My own business has seen more buyers searching for rare coins and it's not limited to the USA as I've had buyers from overseas purchasing 6 figure coins from me in the last 12 months..

In most collecting fields, antiques, comic books, sports memorabilia, toys, the emphasis has always been on quality. I have seen people come into a collecting field as neophyte's, and within a very short time they are buying the high end pieces. People with money don't buy examples that are worn, or have problems.
I hope that what David is feeling is about some new "blood" coming into the market, and what I have seen in other collecting fields is beginning to happen in the coin world,
