@StandardSam1 Thanks man enjoy yourself, I love the Beatles, good compositions, guys who knew their trade and George Martin a Classically trained producer writing great additional arrangements,Vic.
@LONGWINDING that's what I mean,Amigo Frank still checking out the older ones and you're right man,I love those chromatic bass lines using chord inversions, thanks for your ears my friend,Vic.
Just do a query "Trambone" on youtube. You will get several hits, but the best is by "bgdenham." It is a classic Chet Atkins piece. Finger-style. Good variation in chords and easy to listen to. Check it out and let me know what you think. Billy Denham is a neighbor of Soddy Daisy, TN, my home town. Great guy!
Not note for note - that might take a lot of time (transcribing) but I like your general idea on the song. It gives me a good foundation to work on :)
Hi Bobchai,a very true statement you made, what I'm trying to say is that I'm going for the gems among these compositions, in other words: Music that's interestingly composed and lend themselves for creative arrangements, else I would start getting bored very soon, friendly greetings Vic.
One of my favourite Beatles songs, yet it's not well remembered. The melody is timeless and perfect. Your version is a delightfully unique interpretation.
Thanks Bobchai,I'm most content with word "timeless" which quality Music should be, we're not here to produce "throw away" Stuff ,the Globe is loaded with that already, greets Vic.
Jazzguts, every era produces music which becomes quickly dated. The 1920s had their 'flapper' music, but the era also produced Cole Porter and Gershwin. The Beatles had a few songs which sound dated today, but by and large their repertoire holds up, after 40 years. Thanks maybe to George Martin, but songs like this one are indeed "timeless".

And your website is good, it is interesting to see that you've been learning all through your life, for instance you would not have been able to play what you do today (and pass on the knowledge) when you were 25.

Hi there Angel, ah yeah the glasses, that's the question,LOL, glad to hear from you, the flamenco guitarists are fantastic, I haven't been raised in that tradition but I adore it and all the beautiful techniques they posses, as a european I cannot sound like them but I have an alternative that's being myself and making own arrangements and executions, but believe me in my next life I'd like to be born in Spain, greets Vic.
Thanks Allen, this was a really inspiring job to do and as always I listen real closely to the bass parts of Paul M, simply brilliant, I think he's listened a great deal to Bach, very smart that chap especially when you start analyzing how he thinks, cheers Vic.
Most bass players just connect with the kick drum and function like a bottom end rhythm instrument. McCartney's bass lines are often very melodic.John often sang a lower harmony a 5th below McCartney. Unusual for the time.Ringo was no Buddy Rich but he complimented and became part of the music. Maybe that's why it worked so well. George Martin probably had his nose in there somewhere.
Lots of things came together to make their magic.
Allen, Mc Cartney uses many chord inversions in his playing which enhances the Music in a beautiful way, and you're right his bass parts are melodic, George Martin certainly was a great producer for the Beatles and his violin and cello arrangements just fantastic, Cheers Vic./
Vic,this is beautiful.... Your repetition main theme (sorry if it's not the correct term) the arpeggiated C-G-F-C chord is memorable! It connect with this song (one of my fave Beatles song among many!) And the chord inversions is nicely fit and not distort the structure of the song...Great arrangement! Victor,
This tune was perfectly suited to your wonderful fingerstyle playing, and a beautiful arrangement to boot. Your chord voicing were complimented with the base line perfectly. Great job!

Wonderful Vic, and a Cmajor 7/9 as the ending-chord. The arrangement is great, esp. the bridge("..and now the time has come...") Nice voicings, and bass tones. Really fine work of a great tune!
