  • OK kid, I understand you're proud of Dad. You don't have to knock every JBH driver. The truth is, every driver can do that back, including us JBH drivers.

  • omg people shut up!!! cant you people see that he is proud of his dad!!!

  • Not a difficult back , Good looking rig.

  • sure this is eazy, its a daycab with a rear window. its tougher in a condo double bunk.

  • Great job.

  • Beginners luck!

  • Running your jake brake on a flat, level road and you have the audacity to rip on JB Hunt drivers for being lousy backers?

  • dude that truck is not legal to haul 110,000 pounds wheres you lift axle on your truck and your forth axle on your trailer?

  • I thought that was good driving till I seen the window. Harder to do when you actually have to blindside. Still pretty good though.

  • I learned that in my 3rd day at class, with a sleeper.

  • thats pretty cool. nice and flat ground. blacktop to boot. man some of the roads i drive just piss me off. like when i gotta do a 90 like that straighten out then jam her into high range on the fly to get 4 truck lengths up a 30 degree incline with 20 tonnes of wood on can make a guy look pretty stupid.

  • Nice clean truck!

  • yeahh not to shabby im not gonna say im better than this cuz everyone has days that are better than the rest but we got 3 axle travis belly dump trailers and 4axle trucks and we one shot field drives just about every day. and on top of that we back up 2 or 3 miles at a stretch on the high side revved out.. i run about 23 i think in reverse thats maxed out...gorgeous truck and trailer..

  • hahaha you got scared with the horn

  • That was a nice move ! Definately not a rookie !!

  • sexy truck

  • ANYBODY CAN BACK UP ON THE P SIDE..WHEN DRIVEING A DAY CAB

  • when it comes to driving vehicles, there is a certain amount of skill evolved and either a driver can do it, or can not. Its not about what company you drive for,its how you drive for the company. And its real discouraging for new drivers to even get into trucking when all they hear is people bashing each other when hateful comments instead of helping each other out. Instead of sitting in your trucker talking smack, why don't you help spot the struggling driver. Know what i mean?

  • really? you're legal at 50 ton. I pull a tridem tanker in alberta and with winter weights I'm only allowed 46.5 ton.

  • A day cab and he had to pull up? NOT to good to me!!

  • you guys are fucksticks forreal

110,000... no van trailer ever hauls that so fuck off douchebags

  • Everyone is bitching about him parking at his home with a tanker. How the hell do you know if he is loaded or empty. He could have just came back from the tank wash but no one thinks like that. I might not drive a truck but I do run a tow boat hauling these chemicals to the docks for these guys and we all get told we are nuts for doing it. And I love the jake and rig very nice

  • @Mvkygercreek He is placarded so he is assumed to be loaded, the only time a gasoline tanker is to be considered empty is when the tank is when it has been properly cleaned and purged by an approved facility.

  • People that dont drive a truck should not leave comments..when you have a slepper backing blindside you have a power mirror to use.. that was a easy spot to back in

  • FMCSA Part 397 A placarded vehicle must NOT be parked Within 300 ft of a bridge tunnel dwelling or place where people work congregate or assemble except for brief periods when the necessities of operation require the vehicle to be parked and make it impracticable to park the vehicle in any other place On or within 5 ft of the traveled portion of a public street or highway Be in the vehicle awake & not in the sleeper berth or within 100 ft of the vehicle & have it within clear view

  • @truckerevan

Except if the owner of the building gives permission to park there. His house so he's not in violation.

  • @KiloByte69 You would have to show me that clause in FMCSA Part 397, this isn't my rules or opinion this is the law copy and pasted.

  • Comment removed

  • @KiloByte69 Well I have been hauling Haz-Mat freight for several years now gas, diesel, chemicals, propane, etc. I will tell you this as a good rule of thumb, avoid any residential areas unless it is an approved Haz-Mat route. Always refer to your FMCSA book which should be within arms reach anytime you are behind the wheel, don't listen to cb/truck stop wisdom, when in doubt look it up. Good luck in your journey.

  • @truckerevan

    Thank you.

  • I have drove trucks for about 17 years or so. What's so special about that?. It's a day cab with a back window.any trucker can do that. And he even had to pull up. Do that with a sleeper truck that's impressivei it's not blindside backing if you look out the back window.

  • good job for blindside backing!

  • nice rig, nice horn & fun to watch. nothing like lots of chrome gleaming in the light, slipping into the driveway after a days work. and sometimes when im tired i have to pull up too....whether ive been to the place a thousand times or just once. sometimes its fun to totally focus and one shot it on the blindside....but thats just showing off haha....cheers bud....it obvious you love your dads rig too!

  • There is only 1 thing in the world that isn't deliver by a truck. And that's a baby.

  • Way to back up to a place you've obviously been to before many times, as you've got your marks. JB Hunts usually don't go to the same place twice a week, let alone twice every six months. Way to master getting into a regular stop.

Thank god you don't have to go to Philly or NY or anywhere else not in Arkansas at your own home, champ.

    Former JB Hunt

Who is still better than you, Piaso.

  • I've gotten my class A CDL license Back in December of 2010 and now have a hazmat and tanker endorcement but how do I get on the job when all the carriers require years of driving experience? what company that doesn't require years of experiences and accept graduate drivers?

  • @sideslide23 you will probably have to go with a company that hires students like covenant, schneider, werner the big companies and stay with them for atleast a year or two to get you soem experience.

  • @MrOldtimer57 Not werner because I didn't get my CDL from Werner I got my Class A CDL from other driving school. and another news I just got a cataloge from Squire CDL Training cours which is in my area Tomarrow, I'm going to take a look and see if I can get in for less. but I may have to do a driving course over again even though I have my Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorcement but I might hav better chance getting on a job with KNIGHTS.

  • @sideslide23 it don't matter where you went to school they hire students i don't know why they would not take you but either way i wish you luck and hope it works out the best for you.

  • @MrOldtimer57 beside my Class A CDL I have a high school diploma, you don't need a Bachler Degree to be a truck driver do you? If they do, I'm SCREWED.

  • @sideslide23 no i've been driving for 35 yrs while i have a college degree you don't have too have one. how long has it been since you graduated from trucking school? if its been awhile that could be the reason you are having problems. go talk to the school they might be able to help you.

  • @MrOldtimer57 Last year on December thats when I got my Class A CDL.

  • All I can say to some of the comments here...no, driving a day cab doesn't make backing easier...you still cannot see crap! And...his Jake was on, when he didn't need it to be! Otherwise, not bad!

  • Lol I work for jb, cracks me up all the haters. I drive a 53ft trailer downtown Chicago most of the time daycare but can easily handle most trucks in the city

  • Are you concerned about security where you park? The department of Homeland Security has regulations about hazmat carriers and where they park. I`m sure you are aware

  • @gasman156132 The department of homeland security can go fuck itself.

  • 2 things I have learned while driving; its super easy to back a truck when you aren't the one driving ( talking about it ), The backs you think are going to be easy usually aren't and the ones that stress you out while just getting set up are usually alot easier then you thought it would be. All drivers have those days that you chase a trailer around a parking lot when you have two empty spaces on either side of you and you still cant get the trailer between the lines.

  • I dont see anything extraordinary here...hes driving a day cab...piece of cake

  • Nice truck and nice job backing. There is no need to put another driver down because of who he works for atleast he has a job. Besides in my 35 yrs of driving i have seen a whole lot of drivers that should not be driving and all of them did not work for jb hunt. Trucking is going downhill fast because no one wants to stick together and everybody thinks they know everything and not willing to keep learning. The day any driver thinks they know it all is the day they need to stop driving.

  • Blind side backing is hard, split or triple axle is harder still. I know personally how much the tires of the forward trailer axle(s) scrub when they're that far apart and how what wouldn't have needed a pull up with regular tandems just won't go back any more.

But the uploader was wrong to talk crap, even just two words of it in this title, cause look at the crap he got back . . . and a little bit was justified. I also sympathize with jmacld.

  • @djkillcrazy i would agree i pull flatbed with spread axles and i would alsop agree on him talking crap about other drivers and he did not expect to get some kick backi from it . would have to be really stupid to think so.

  • I don't get it...he is just doing his job, nothing special about it. It's like making a huge deal over a doctor finishing a surgery, he did what he is SUPPOSED to do.

  • He has a 53'er. With the room you have to play with i can do that with a bunk. Blind side is much easier than lotta people think.

Learn to use your spot mirror on your right side and it makes it easier, but it takes practice. This man did a very good job and might I add," very nice Western Star too".

  • Its good job backing BUT a Hazmat hauler knows its illegal as hell to park a Hazmat load in a residential neighborhood so kudos from me

  • Comment removed

  • good..

  • I used to drive for Days Express out of Columbus Ohio, we had assistant drivers and you were not supposed to let them back the rig up, but I used to let them, thats the only way you are going to learn. Great driving I wish you all well.

  • now thats a badass westernstar!

  • Who cares how many pull ups u do as long as u get it in the hole and didnt hit anyone , not every one can be one shot nellies

  • @UnkleGmoneyGT That's not a 1 shot nellie m8, he pulled forward. A 1 shot is backing in all the way to where u offload and no pulling forward whatsoever...

  • Excellent Blind side backing! I used to drive 53' dry vans and know how hard it is to blind side back. You lined up your truck and trailer like a pro and turned at just the right angle only making one pull up. Great Job! :)

  • Great looking tanker..

  • and thats the truth

  • j.b. hunt stands for just been hired unfortunately not trained

  • How can you tell a truck driver is lying? His/Her lips move!

  • Sweet truck! Nice job backing too! Window in back makes it a lil bit easier but only at certain angles. Glad your proud of your dad... Follow in his footsteps, this industry needs all the second and third generation drivers we can get. I'm a third generation driver and can tell you it's not like it used to be our here. Stay proud:-)

  • don't be nasty, so the guy is good, but after doing it many times, he better be good at it, give jb some credit not all of them are bad.

BTW, I also drive a tanker

  • I'm a Brit trucker, and I can't see anything wrong, jeez sometimes I'm shunting it back and forth for what seems hours, get your line wrong to start and you're screwed! This site is just full of folk who like to pick holes in stuff they know nothing about. Nice rig, well impressed.

  • nice truck and trailer!!!

  • What is with all the criticism? The dude is proud of his dad. Yes and we all need more of that. The old man did a good job. And JB is just one of the many companys out there that need help. Now go look at my vid and thanks.

    Dave

  • a blindside back with only a few feet of pull up and with a tank, man thats some skill,i think most people are just jealous of how pretty his girl is,its a really nice lookin truck, any way just ignore the rookies who think they could do it without lookin or without pull ups kinda makes you wonder how much back time theyve had? peace :)

  • Real nice truck!!! shows you take pride in it!!

  • great skills right there. must have alot of experience doing a blind-side so close to the house.

  • It doesn't make you look like a rookie driver when you use the truck to your advantage. If your truck has a back window, why not use it? That's like saying you look reatrted for using your mirrors, they're made to help you out. It doesn't make you look like a rookie when you use your trucks features to your advantage, you look like a rookie when you are trying to be cool and not utilizing what ya got, and ya back into a building or another truck as they say in Alaska- "That's rookie shit" lol

  • what happens when 5 JB Hunt drivers leave a truckstop?????????????? there are 10 empty parking spaces

  • @1997petercar LOL, don't blame it on bad driving/parking though. Their just homophobic :D

  • tri axles are a PITA to back up. you literally have to force them to turn ... Way to push that Star Car!

  • Looks = 10

    Sounds = 10

    Hammer down-

  • thats american pride right there

  • that's a verry nice truck!!

  • This is easier said than done for sure. The guy knows what he's doing. Great looking star man. This guy would beat the shit out of any JB driver. Lol. My pops pulls a tank as well. Check out my videos.

  • A very good back all things considered, myself I always tried to avoid blind side backs by any means neccesary, however there are those sucky situations where you just have no other option.

  • HAHAHA!!!!! so true about JB hunt.....I hope they use this as a training video for their drivers. I was at the flying J in Laredo TX and a JB hunt driver paid another 20 bucks to back his bob tail in....it was priceless.

  • yeah he sucks least most jb drivers dont have to pull forward it is legal you cant go over 8 thousand pounds

  • yeah he sucks least most jb drivers dont have to pull forward

  • @butche755 there is nothing wrong with pulling forward. it is better to pull forward than to continue backing and hit something.

  • your dad is a good driver i can tell u that and he cares for his rig and it's good to see that u like your dad job

  • Where is it legal to gross 110,000 lbs?

  • @Altonmcc

    at ur moms house

  • @mrmaddox84 Real cute answer.

  • @mrmaddox84 Did you think of that all by yourself?

  • @Altonmcc No where unless you have an permit

  • @Altonmcc Ontario

  • Your dad has a nice rig... nice and spotless :)

  • Thats some damn fine backing with that much weight on a tri axle trailer

  • that needs to be a swift video instead jb hunt lol

  • Ahhh nice truck

  • Now he stop the guy on the camera run open the faucets and fill a 20 gallons for the next video lol

  • im luvin all the trucker luv n pride goin around here. ive always looked up 2 my grandpa whos been drivin trucks 4 as long as ive known him. im a 17 year old future trucker bcuz of that ;)

  • the kid is proud of his dad good for the both of you.plus whats the big deal nobodys perfect at least he didnt run over the neighbors flowers

  • Impressive to see a trucker back his rig into a spot on his first try. A true professional!! Even more impressive is that this video was made with pride by his son!

  • Love the sound of that "jake" brake. ;)

  • Nice job! Keep truckin!

  • You know, He only has done this backing about 100 thousand times, He should know how to back into his own house. Not saying he's a bad driver, He's good but give us a break,

  • how does a back window help you back up when there is a trailer behind you?? wtf

  • @megakendra100 It helps alot actually. Its not like in a pickup truck where if you have a trailer on, you can't see anything out the back window. In a day cab when you back up the angle this guy is backing is so great that he can probably see the back of the trailer through his back window. Even with the back window though, blind side backing is NOT an easy thing to do. So for this guys father to do this in the amount of space he had shows that he is a true professional.

  • nice one mate, shes a beuty! (cant spell) lovely purr :)

  • I love how he parks his HAZMAT tanker at his house. Nothing says I love my family like leaving a bomb parked outside the front door...lol

  • for those that are not good enough to drive tankers and think that being 48' rather than 53' makes it easier i would like to see a lot of these BOX drivers shit in there pants trying to stop or slow down a loaded tanker when the wave hits and that's gasoline he got in there.

  • @7981abcd thank you

  • I'm not being a dick just curious how much more is your dads homeowner insurance parking a fuel tanker in driveway.

  • I would say your Father is a professional driver. Good job.

  • thats right you tell um

  • Looking at some of the comments, it shows what people know, for one he was backing to his blind side, even though the tanker is shorter than a lot of trailers, and he has a back window day cab,it made it easier, however everyone pulls up , sometimes several times, depending on the situation. he did a good job, and he is pulling a tanker, so he's got to be more qualified.

  • @ZefreyLove

Thank you for your intelligent/kind comment. Appreciate it

  • what a typical dickhead truckdriver

  • @donmagill What's with the bitterness? Care to explain the attack on this guy who does a nice blindside backup of an apparently well maintained rig? What did he do wrong in your opinion? Do share with us ignorant fools.

  • @donmagill if it wasn't for truck drivers, it would be hard to buy groceries, by your gas, and just about everything , has been on a truck, even when it comes off of a ship, are put on a ship, are a train, are a jet, it still has to be transported by trucks.

  • @donmagill I JUST LOVE COMMENTS LIKE THIS! "typical dickhead truckdriver" ....Now buddy if it wasnt for truck drivers you wouldnt have your flat screen tv, your food, hey even your TOILET PAPER, so STFU and think about it.

  • @donmagill Back bone of American society. 99% of everything you own has been on a truck at one point.

  • ALL kids should be proud of their truck driving dad's.

  • nice video man. I love the sound of a straight pipe truck. RIght on, teach those J.B. drivers to back, then teach'em to stay in the right lane where they belong, Lol! My dad owns his own company. He taught me to drive when I was eight. I got my class A when I was 19 (good only in TN). Last month I turned 21 and dad and I have been doing some cross country runs together. It's been a blast. I'm a Kenworth man though. Dad's always bought K.W. my initials are K.W. and My handle is the K.W. Kid.

  • damn that first part is a tight fit lol i love that badass truck the jake brake in the beginning sounds delicious lol

  • Thats my thing too.... tankers ... been doing it for a few short years.

  • I think its not cool to put a man/woman down just coz of what ever company they drive for. I started my driving career with JB hunt in 1984 before they even had a trainning program. And I have spent two years of my career driving in Ireland and drivers here in the US have it really easy compaired to driving in Europe.

  • Hey Josh. Its Eski, hows things going man, I've not talked to you for ages!!

  • At least this Jb Hunt driver is smart enough to know you don't need a jake brake when you are going UPHILL.

  • Nice vid. Your dad needs to check the lights on his truck/tractor, if you notice the 4 ways shut off when the brake is applied, can't be that way. Nice truck though and backing job.

  • @studpuppy69 Sterlings do that too. The four ways will come back on once the brake is taken off. It's not a defect; they just come from the factory like that.

  • @minneiskian Sounds like a defect to me, a factory defect. No reason for your brakes to cancel your flashers, temporarily or not.

  • Comment removed

  • I wouldn't really call that a hard backup. Only difficult thing about that is blind siding if your not used to it, but since he lives their and has done it many times, its not really a impressive show of the drivers skills.

  • sweet..i had to bk a loaded log trailor 2 1/2 miles bk to the loader once cause the man that came in on me on a 2 path woods path,, didn't know how to bk hid empty truck an trailor at all... i told him to go to walmart an get a refund...lol...great job driver....

  • sweet..i had to bk a loaded log trailor 2 1/2 miles bk to the loader once cause the man that came in on me on a 2 path woods path,, didn't know how to bk hid empty truck an trailor at all... i told him to go to walmart an get a refund...lol...

  • He is also way shorter the a JB hunt truck would be being he had a day cab and a tanker a jb hunt truck would have have a truck with a 230 inch wheel base and a 53 foot van

  • where do u live, and who does he haul for

  • Clean looking rig!

  • The spread axle to me is the hardest to back up.

  • What is with all the criticism? The dude is proud of his dad, that's something very nice. The driver pulled up, so what? He got the whole damn thing in the drive way. I'd say if you can back it up without pulling forward good for you. 2, 3 axles what if it has half a dozen, just enjoy the video. Quite honestly I don't know squat about trucks but I like how they look and applaude the driver's abilities. She looks shiny and spotless, AWESOME horn! Greetings from Mexico and Nebraska!!

  • @Kiraheeler Thanks bro. There needs to be more people like you in this world...

  • @Kiraheeler but dont put down jb hunt my dad works for them and he"s a damn good driver

  • @Kiraheeler That and he blind sided it in also!!!!

  • @Kiraheeler

i see it the same way and i bet those that actualy critic this cant even park their own city car

  • @Kiraheeler no doubt eh some people don't realize that there may of been something there like a shed or maybe his wifes vehichle

  • @Kiraheeler no doubt eh some people don't realize that there may of been something there like a shed or maybe his wifes vehichle or a light post

  • nice blindside move must know it well.we brits can relate to always reversin with no room.

  • tri axle or 2 axles the trailer will go where you back its not harder to back a tri axle the only thing is the tires take more of a beating on the tri's. I am glad you are proud of your dad, but the sun was right in the camera should have shot it from the other side dude

  • no horn u just fail your cdl corse

  • that jake brake made my skin tingle, lol

  • Very nicely done!

  • hello nice truck,no impres,God speed

  • nice video but the sun really ruined it for me

  • It's great to see a son with such great pride in his father! I think my kids could care less about my truck. Probably because it always takes me away...but she always brings me home! Long live the Western Star!

  • Thanks man! ;)

  • @ponway hey man my dads a trucker i take very much pride in my dad 05 pete 387.. ill make er blind ya.. all my dads trucks r sopposedly GIRLS lol

  • Not that hard in a day cab......

  • true!! try doing it blindside in a stretched out sleeper truck LOL

  • Decent job, but how many times have you backed into your own drive? Were you this good the first time?

  • exactly, EVERYONE ( to quote a gamer, was a noob once.) but still, nice work

  • crap! I "thumbs downed" you on accident...I meant UP...sorry yamahonkawazuki

  • lol no problem, it happens :)

  • nice truck

  • anyone can do that
