Which is actually pretty awesome because we get ALL of the advantages that either party gets, along with the fact that we are better at tennis because we can block the ball with either hand, also we are better fighters and bowlers, also we are better piano players.
Drawing is great and everything in order to help better activate the right brain....though....using your left hand to do this is really what is BEST....USE YOU LEFT HAND/SIDE OF YOUR body a whole lot more....BE LEFTHANDED! ...This really is the EASIEST and simplest way to activate your right brain better! thats why im not so good at maths. because the left side of the brain controls your right handed movements (writing, drawing, sport, etc) and the right side of the brain controls the left hand/arm. btw, I am a lefty! the only thing that i hate about being left handed is:
1. smudging
2. bumping elbows with the person next to you unless they're left handed too or unless your sitting at the end of the desk

@szchristie Good theory, but left handedness isn't hereditary. I know of two left handed people that had two kids and they're both right handed. It's not really known why it's not as common.

i write with my right but im ambidextrous... cos usually lefties are ambidextrous cos most things in the w for world are for right handed people so lefties tend to use their left. but for me im naturally ambidextrous cos i use my left hand to play tennis and baseball and basketball. and ambidextrous people have sort of brain damage cos since im ambidextrous i realized that cos my siblings were all high achievers in school. but i fail. but i kinda excel in sports. hahahaha :D
im left handed but i learn how to adapt useing my right hand for the mouse of my pc....but everything else i use only the left side of my body....its true that most of us lefty have bad hand writings...but ya know, we have to learn the hard way to be right.
I never bothered getting a left handed mouse. I figure if I did switch now, I'd actually be more clumsy with it than with my right. You just get used to adapting to the way the right handed world works and can eventually become almost equally skilled with both hands (with the exception of writing in my case). I bowl right handed only because I was taught by a right hander who found it too confusing to teach me my way.
I can ONLY use my left hand for most tasks....eating, using a hammer, using a knife, most tools but I can ONLY write with my right hand and a drinking glass feels more comfortable in my right hand. Is this pretty unusual or quite common?
also, I have a wierd thing with guitars. I learnt to play the guitar right handed, but when ever I play the air-guitar, my arms go into the air like I'm playing it left handed.
Aren't the brains swapped around on people who prefere the left hand? they also often have dominated eye coordination on the opposite eye of a righthanded person. Often at least. I am in a predicament when I shot with a rifle in the army. I'm lefthanded, with all the problems that can cause in a righthanded world (e.g. the cartridge from the rifle flying into your face instead of out to the side) but I have domination on the right eye, so I can't look down the scope like a "normal" person would.
I think being left handed is a big curse, I have ver little co- ordination with my right hand, it also seems to causes me to loose balance and I can't get a decent left handed guitar. :( being left handed is a curse for me. It is the same when i bat, if a pitcher throws certain pitches that i feel are too tough to hit right hande i will bat lefty so that i can be sure to hit the proper angle desired, BUT when i write, sadly my left hand will allways look better than my right ever will because it is what i used to write with as i grew up, and that is where i get my pro opinion about handedness...the hand you use most for a certain task will allways be more efficient in that situation than the other

@szchristie Good theory, but left handedness isn't hereditary. I know of two left handed people that had two kids and they're both right handed. It's not really known why it's not as common.

I heard left handers are better at art, music, math blahhh...But im good at all those things and im right handed. your dominant hand dosn't make you better at something. far as i know...ability to do something well is actually passed on, or youre born with it. dominance in a hand is no excuse. who knows y most people are right handed...? also, who cares if u are a righty or lefty. im sick of those comments. i write with my right but im ambidextrous... cos usually lefties are ambidextrous cos most things in the w for world are for right handed people so lefties tend to use their left. but for me im naturally ambidextrous cos i use my left hand to play tennis and baseball and basketball. and ambidextrous people have sort of brain damage cos since im ambidextrous i realized that cos my siblings were all high achievers in school. but i fail. but i kinda excel in sports. hahahaha :D

I never bothered getting a left handed mouse. I figure if I did switch now, I'd actually be more clumsy with it than with my right. You just get used to adapting to the way the right handed world works and can eventually become almost equally skilled with both hands (with the exception of writing in my case). I bowl right handed only because I was taught by a right hander who found it too confusing to teach me my way.

I can ONLY use my left hand for most tasks....eating, using a hammer, using a knife, most tools but I can ONLY write with my right hand and a drinking glass feels more comfortable in my right hand. Is this pretty unusual or quite common?

Aren't the brains swapped around on people who prefere the left hand? they also often have dominated eye coordination on the opposite eye of a righthanded person. Often at least. I am in a predicament when I shot with a rifle in the army. I'm lefthanded, with all the problems that can cause in a righthanded world (e.g. the cartridge from the rifle flying into your face instead of out to the side) but I have domination on the right eye, so I can't look down the scope like a "normal" person would.

I think being left handed is a big curse, I have ver little co- ordination with my right hand, it also seems to causes me to loose balance and I can't get a decent left handed guitar. :( being left handed is a curse for me. Even though all the great world leader scientist and artists seem to be left handed, who knows maybe one day I will unlock my lefty powers?

i think because right handers over populate almost all (about %90) of the human population.
it is easy to say that one lefty is counted as 300 right handers.
also leftys only die earlier because of accidents from operating right handed obsticles.
like the gears on your left when in a car, or the guard on a chainsaw only covers the right side.

@98bigbutt Handedness runs in families, although even when both parents are left-handed, there is only a 26% chance of their child being left-handed. Thus, it is clear that genetics is not the only cause. Handedness must also be influenced by some of the other theories presented here.

It is the same when i bat, if a pitcher throws certain pitches that i feel are too tough to hit right hande i will bat lefty so that i can be sure to hit the proper angle desired, BUT when i write, sadly my left hand will allways look better than my right ever will because it is what i used to write with as i grew up, and that is where i get my pro opinion about handedness...the hand you use most for a certain task will allways be more efficient in that situation than the other
