They have indian heritage and latin/Mexican culture. Saying Mexico has Spanish heritage is to say the USA has English culture. We know that England played a part in the building of the USA but we are not English. Everyone wants to acclimate to Spain, and no one talks about the indians. I have many friends straight from Spain, and they do not look Mexican. I live in El Paso, Texas, and I have not seen Spain here.

@mrbilingual Some Mexicans consider themselves spanish the same way Dominicans consider themselves spanish. People here in America do not go around saying that they have "English" history but a lot of them choose to say they have European ancestry. It is just a different way to say it. Just because you have spanish ancestry does not mean you are going to look like you are from Spain. Spanish people come from all in all different shades of color.
