Obama is just the new FDR, who was like the new Lincoln. His debt/GDP is almost as high as FDR's, and both of their debts were from inherited crises.

I personally don't care about the racism in the Tea Party. The fact of the matter is, the Tea Party is a joke of a movement (a "Taxed Enough Already" party created in the midst of the lowest tax rates since WWII, to introduce) that distances itself from facts, pretends as if spending reduces growth (never does), that tax cuts won't increase deficits but spending will (both increase it). and that government involvement is bad (that ideology got us in this problem in the first place).

I'm beginning to wonder if the total incompetence emitting from the Whitehouse, is actually intentional. A suggestion for you all. If you have any love at all for this country, or even the Democrat party...VP Biden should resign, then Pres. Obama should appoint Hillary Clinton VP(I can't believe I'm saying this), then resign immediately following her confirmation. My guess is that this administration will be remembered as the most destructive thing that ever happened to this Republic. Pathetic.

Every Democrat since FDR and every Republican since FDR but before Reagan decreased the debt/GDP by the end of their term(s).
Then Reagan and H.W. and W. decided to jack it up again to create fake government funded growth through unsustainable tax cuts. Under Clinton, the debt/GDP dropped by 7% or so, until W. raised it by around 20%.
Obama is just the new FDR, who was like the new Lincoln. His debt/GDP is almost as high as FDR's, and both of their debts were from inherited crises.

I personally don't care about the racism in the Tea Party. The fact of the matter is, the Tea Party is a joke of a movement (a "Taxed Enough Already" party created in the midst of the lowest tax rates since WWII, to introduce) that distances itself from facts, pretends as if spending reduces growth (never does), that tax cuts won't increase deficits but spending will (both increase it). and that government involvement is bad (that ideology got us in this problem in the first place).

@chaumont20 Actually I think it's pretty obvious that he misspoke and intended to say that they'd visited 47 states so far, with one to go and two that are not planned- the math works, and I don't think it's a stretch to think that a tired mind could mix the impulse to say "50 states" with the thought "47 states" and have it come out as "57" without even realizing you'd said that.

Over the next 10 years our federal government is expected to borrow an additional $8.5 trillion, and this is on top of the 13 trillion we currently owe. These figures are beyond being enormous, especially since we already pay one in seven dollars in interest.
