Hi Jason i have available to buy on its website of 400 $ that katana of the mark Ryumon which i are that serious the best of which do not pass of the 400
hiya fella's. i need your help guys! should i buy this sword, the bushido, or the ryumon dragon, with decorated scabbard? i want a good quality cutter which is well put together but something thats also gonna look nice on my mantlepiece! thanx guys.
It's a lovely blade, but he needs some tameshigiri lessons. If one pays attention, he habitually flexes his wrists an instant before the cut which causes the blade to turn upwards by about two centimeters; while it doesn't take away from the effectiveness of the blade, it does take away from the cleanlyness of the strike making it seem as though the weapon used was a crude axe, rather than an elegant work of art and weapon of death such as this.
Right-o. He's just showing the sword, not his style. But hey, lesson learned. If the statement is true, he may want to even try the wrist thing, see what happens.
((I've bought from SOM - they do rock, make no mistakes.))

I would buy the ryumon dragon as it is a better cutter, but you might beat up that beautiful saya if you are using it!

Geez... I hate when people all of a sudden becomes an EXPERT and flame other people. He's an excellent sword shop owner, not a samurai.
