  • lol, scream, more like cries like a girl,, this band really suck balls, if that synth broke, theyd be fucked, even tho that aint the worst of there worries,, there still balls! total emo bollocks

  • @FunGuy133 I don't think someone who favourites Limp Bizkit and Robbie Williams songs deserves to even post their comment on this page, if you think this is "total emo bollocks" then I think you need to open your eyes.

  • @Jackarius15 , how retarded are u,, does a fav video have to be something u enjoy? no,, can easily be something u like showing other people for critisism, so get ur facts right! and wat else would u title this shite as? same couple notes over and over with that shitty synth in the background,, sounds like emo bollocks fits perfectly well thank u!

  • @FunGuy133 well you seem very fun! you must be a blast at parties...

  • @FunGuy133 Dude this is getting old, I don't care. You like what you like, you are just misinformed thats all, go listen to shit like dan aykroyd you massive douchebag.

  • @FunGuy133 hey listen to thier eps... there is NO synth and its prob thier best stuff... just because it's not your cup of tea dont mean it isn't AMAZING!!!

  • 30 minute enter shikari video - im sorted

  • @TheSaltinater Agreed.

  • take to the skies is one of my faviroute albums of all time. Common Dreads doesn't make it in my top 20 albums

  • anywhere to download this performance???

  • @Seanathenll Once you have seen them twice you will understand how great they are and how pathetic your arguments are.

  • shut the fuck up, you either love them, or you don't, personally i love them, a lot.

now if you have nothing decent to say, fuck off..

  • whoever said they are shit live clearly doesn't know that they have been voted best live band in Kerrang 2wice, and hasn't been to see them the 2 times they came to dundee :O

  • seeing them tomoorow!

  • Seeing them at Leeds with be the 10th time. If its anything like this i will he happy.

  • fuckkkk cant wait for them this year ! ive seen them 5 times already get better everytime <3

  • Everything went wrong in this gig ... like the drums, the in ears and Rory C guitar string fucked up at the end etc.... and yet they still manage 2 sound fucking amazing :)

    I love you guys :)

    My idols :)

  • Seeing them live in Tampa Florida on Thursday! Can't Fucking Wait!:] ES!!!

  • 1:58 looks soo cool!

  • Human pyramid FAIL lmao. great performance though :p

  • How can you upload videos that are longer than 10 minutes??

  • if u have an old account

  • How old?

  • not sure, couple of years back though

  • both albums are ace :)

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT A MATURE BAND? take to the skies is was better than common dreads end of story you fucktards..

  • @seanatin07

    THANK YOU!

  • thats just opinion dude, you cant say its fact, although i do agree with you :P

  • facts and opinions are highly contridicted

  • I Wish They Would Play Take To The Skies Live Now That Would Be The Only Reason Id Go See Them

  • Rou has the best fucking inward screams

    its rediculas

  • Going to see Enter tomorrow, if it's anything like this should be awesome.

  • this is probably one of their best shows in my opinion..one of the best shows ever absolutley fucking amazing. i do still love the new stuff but looking back i agree this was better.

  • saw em in sheffield, recomend them to anyone who likes ravin to heavy stuff

  • hardly shit but yeah okay

  • Take to the Skies is a billion times better than Commen dreads and Tribalism

  • @SeanathenII take to the skies and common dreads are both dead good but tribalism not so good...

  • I still prefer Take to the Skies. Common dreads is ok but it lacks the originality that take to the skies had, they've also stopped most of the screaming, which i liked

  • common dreads is better, and tribalism is a complimation

  • Take to the Skies was way better, almost every song on that album was great and thats purely because they had been playing that same set for like ten years.

common dreads wasn't nearly as good because they had no idea what they were doing and Rou couldnt scream properly anymore. By Tribalism im talkin about the original songs on that album like Tribalism and Thumper

  • but common dreads is a much more mature album, rou does more insane vocals, its more complex, adresses issues such as global warming and also it has better songs

  • but thats what made Take To The Skies brillian, it was about nothing and everything at the same time.if i wanted to listen to world issues id listen to Rage Against the Machine. Rous vocals are shot now and its not nearly as good as they used to be. Common Dreads has a fistful of good song but the rest are shit.

and if anything its got half the complexity of TttS.

  • some goood points, i can se what your saying however im telling you right here right know commond dreads is the more complex album, however which is better is personal opinion

  • and i have to differ from your opinion but almost every song on Take To the Skies is great, purely and only because they were playing them for years before they recorded. Common Dreads is a musical progression for Shikari but like St.Anger for Metallica it was in the wrong direction

  • fair enough, we both have quiet strong veiws about this, so lets end it here ^_^

    its been fun xD

  • I concur

    See you around

  • @SeanathenII youre an idiot. if ANYTHING rous voice is better. It actually sounded worse the way he screamed offf the first record. and most that record was alot of breakdowns. on the new album if you knew anything about music and actually ppayed attention you would notice how much better the musicianship is. most the synth lines from Ttts were super fuckin simple and not as layered as the new one.

  • @lukedemers if iwanted a mature, complex record, id listen to Necrophagist or between the buried and me (both of which i do listen to). if i want to go nuts with my mates and rave and mosh to some crazy shit ill listen to shikari. im not saying common dreads was bad. it had a few good songs on it but shikari had been playing and perfecting ttts since the beginning. they are good at trancecore, not the drum and bass esk stuff on CD and tribalism. Cunt

  • @SeanathenII well then shut the fuck up and be content with listening to that one album if whatever they release doesnt make you go crazy. so what, they change, you bitching about it isnt gonna change the kind of music they write

  • @lukedemers when you become content you stop making wrong stuff right. There is no point in doing anything if you dont get criticized and do it better later. its worse to go along with whatever the band does without questioning it than criticizing it. dont get me wrong, they have some good material on CD and thumpers good, but a gold bar in a pile of shit is usually obscured by the shit. like Juggernauts, everyone loves it but like the first 40 second are amazing then he starts talking.

  • @SeanathenII theres no point of doing anything if you dont get criticized? musicans make music that THEY like. they dont care if it gets criticized or people like it or not. Its about the music and what they love..and its not worse to go along and not question it because i like everything they do. if they put out a bad record, that sells horribly, yes, then you question what went wrong. but common dreads was pretty fuckin successful. and they didnt conform, they just grew and matured as musicans

  • @lukedemers no there isnt because if you dont take criticism you cant improve. when you stop questioning authority thats when tryanny starts. Enter Shikari on their first album sounded like they were a bunch of neds with instruments and recording equipment and it sounded amazing.

  • @lukedemers The lyrics had no real meaning, the music was loud and dynamic and it all fitted together, it was written as a n album as opposed to a bunch of songs together and each song, while unique has a similar feel and no one else was doing what they were doing. Shikari are hardly skilled so when they stop going nuts then they lose most of their appeal. and they conformed, just liek Avenged did, but they at least redeemed themselves in their latst album.

  • @SeanathenII first of all "questioning authority" has nothing to fukin do with this youre a retard. and actually, they are all really talented at what they do. otherwise if they were "hardly skilled" do you honestly think theyd be putting out and selling records? bands that actually do something with themselves and make GOOD cds are anything BUT hardly skilld. and all lyrics have meaning. its up to whos listening to it to figure out what they mean and to relate to them.

  • @lukedemers you know what, if your not a downs syndrome suffering cunt then your ideas arent excusable. shikari became mainstream. thats my problem with them. they were unique, then became not unique. and plenty of bands with no skill are successful, Take That and basically any other boyband, Florence and the Machine, pick any number of number one artists of the past 10 years and none of them have been particularily skilled, barring Rage Against the Machine.

  • @SeanathenII just cause you cant interprit them doesnt mean they have "no real meaning"..sure, common dreads is a little more blunt but that doesnt make the lyrics bad..and the thing that keeps their appeal is the music itself! not many bands do what they do. thats what makes them so good and versitile. which no one wants to hear an album of all the same songs. common dreads has sooo many different influences and you can hear it..youre a fucking idiot who doesnt know shit about music

  • @lukedemers Common Dreads was successful purely because of the plague of mainstream media. exact same with tribalism. im in a band, we cover four songs by shikari, Sorry Your Not A Winner, Mothership, Ok Time For Plan B and Solidarity. they are nothing compared to stuff which actually takes skill.

  • @SeanathenII in what way are they mainstream!? because they matured and started to write a litttle differently? started to develop a different sound than underground music? im sorry if you feel they come off as "mainstream"...and boybands? youre comparing completely different genres. and atleas dudes in boybands can fuckin sing

  • @lukedemers because they get played frequently on the radio, people have them in the same playlist as cascada and justi bieber. and everyone keeps saying they matured. thats not a strong point when their appeal is that their a big bunch of idiot manshildren with instruments. and have you ever heard a boyband live. like actually live they are fucking horrible. off key, off time, the only thing which makes them sound good on CDs is autotune

  • @SeanathenII you are a moron, enter shikari are about as far from mainstream as you can get, and anyway why the fuck would you dislike a band just because they are "mainstream"? If you like bands purely because it is "cool" to like them or because they are unknown, then you are liking them for the wrong fucking reasons

  • @SeanathenII - Mate, you know fuck all about music, Enter Shikari are still extremely unique through the way they've put drum'n'bass and dubstep with rock. No other band does that successfully. Basically Take To The Skies is a quality album but bands change because they can, they've got the ability to. You're obviously one of those metal meat heads that haven't got a wide range of music genres that you like. It's either scream and guitar solo's or you don't like the. Shut the fuck up.

  • @ExeterCitysZandie wtf are you talking about? i liked the new stuff UNTIL i heard the old stuff. I LISTEN TO MILEY FUCKING CYRUS you twat. i proudly say that i have miley cyrus, demi lovato, adreas boccelli and amy macdonald in my media player along side necrophagist, enter shikari, Mr.Big, suicide silence, white chapel and Bring Me The Horizon. so you shut the fuck up and dont make stupid assumptions because i have good fucking taste in music

  • @SeanathenII totally disagree. Enter Shikari is already good enough on CD, but they're alot better live. Their performance are always so upbeat and energising, you'd just go fucking crazy listening to 'em. AND WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT FICTION OF CASCADA, JUSTIN BIEBER ADN ENTER SHIKARI IN THE SAME PLAYLIST? You're obviously just making that up coz maybe you're a pop-bull who can't listen to this kind of music.

  • @JeloMulawin i saw them post Common Dreads and they sucked ass. anyone who disagrees with me wasnt listening properly. Rob and Chris were drunk and they fucked up so much it wasn't even funny. and dont make stupid assumtions you cunt. i play in a band. we cover some of Shikaris good songs. and making the assertion im a pop-bull shows you havent looked at my comments. I LISTEN TO NECROPHAIGIST! i listen to dozens of random underground metal bands ALONG with listening to Shikari and Miley Cyrus,

  • @JeloMulawin Shikari fans are usually ones who have no fucking idea how to play an instrument and dont listen to anyother type of music than shikari and rave and some of the shitty lighter metal bands. you dont know what the fuck you are talking about, i do. learn to play something and listen to more than Common Dreads and get your fucking head out of your arse.

  • @SeanathenII Coz we really don't. Geesh, what do u expect? Of course we don't have any idea how to play instrument, coz we'd rather listen to the music, and no, I do listen to other music like Phil Collins, and alt. metal, and I even go as far listening to meditative music like new age shit. And I do know what I'm talking about. And dude, if you want to be appreciated, just make some good music rather than being jealous of other's success.

  • @JeloMulawin our bands only been going for about 2 years and we have alot of local success. its not fucking easy to get somewhere. im not jealous of shikari, i just think that common dreads is shit. and unless you know what goes into music you have no right to hold your opinion over mine. get your head out of your arse you cunt

  • @SeanathenII mate. if you knew music, you would know that there's more to it then just what it sounds like. Common dreads tackles issues n shit man. its a much more mature album to take to the skies. i mean, its all good. i prefer take to the skies, but you really gotta get your head, outa your ass mate

  • @3rifty just because it tackles "issues n shit" doesnt mean its good. it needs to get its message across effectivly which i dont feel it does. and its called a legitimate appeal to authority. i study music. i have friends who study music. we are all huge shikari fansand we all agree that Dreads is no where near as good as Skies. Tribalism sucks to although thumper is amazing(i hate the video though). We can breathe in space is good, the zone is good although everything prior is pretty crap.

  • @3rifty even the original Sorry your not a winner recording is balls, the one on the EP. and dont spout that much more mature shite at me. just because its more mature does not mean its better in any way.

  • @SeanathenII oi mate, i never said it was better, i actually said i prefered take to the skies... bro, you're just too judgemental. the fact you 'study' music means shit. i study IT and that doesnt mean my opinion of what computer is better is more right than yours. take the dildo. outa your ass and lighten up..

  • @3rifty actually it does mean that you are entitled to call me an ass when it comes to computers. legitimate appeal to authority. you study it so logicly you should know more about it. if you dont then it means either your an idiot or your being taught wrong. for example i personally think that an acer with windows XP is a good computer, your entitled to say, no, a dell with linux is better. (i dont know if it is im using an example). get my drift?

  • @SeanathenII yeah i getya. i am entitled to say no. but that does not mean i am right..it all comes down to personal opinion...

  • @3rifty yeah but it does mean that you are far more likely to be right and people who are not as clued up on the subject should deffer to you or atleast take what you say on board and not just automatically assume that since you dont agree with them your a stupid troll who hates everything that they love and are also communist death metal fans

  • @SeanathenII no, i actually think you're far from right, coz lotz of ppl disagree with u, and im only one of 'em. Lolz, what's up with your reaction, you must be raging from anger or something. Dude, I pretty much think arguing with you is pointless.... Look, for now, I'm not into Enter Shikari, and I'm listening to some experimental band, so just leave your opinion to yourself and do whatever you enjoy, like jamming with your band or something.

  • @JeloMulawin lots of people believe in a god, that doesnt make them right. no im in quite a good mood im just blunt with idiots. and there is no point in having an opinion if you cant discuss it and debate it, thats what forums are for. purely because you go back to "personal opinion" as a basis for me being wrong is reason enough to know im right. try not to suck a dick when you read this

  • @SeanathenII sorry, but as much as you want to debate, I'm busy with "real life", and you shan't always expect to be on the PC. And I'm tired of arguing, it usually ends up with me geting tired of it. I know arguments develop personal growth, etc. but please move on, and, like i said, go fuck yourself, and find some other people you can argue with, just not me at the moment. And dude, I don't have any problem with your argument, most of the times I'm just moody, so debates just go high or low...

  • @SeanathenII with me.

  • @SeanathenII Look, I know you don't hate Enter Shikari, but I just disagree with your argument about them being mainstream. I wouldn't really think your typical mainstream people who listen to usual MTV stuff would listen to Enter Shikari, that's just what I think, based on my personal experience, and from my friends who love music. Maybe I do need to read a couple of previous comments from you, but like I said, I'm not always on PC.....

  • @SeanathenII I'd still have a bit of time to spare, so anyway....

About my previous comment, you get different groups that listen to specific genre.... what I meant is that people who listen to Enter Shikari would usually listen to similar bands (post-hardcore bands), u know, the ones on the realms of emo, post-hardcore, alternative metal, etc, just mostly bands, and no solo artists like Miley Cyrus, Timbaland, etc. I think it's pretty explanatory actually, hope you get the idea :))

  • @SeanathenII And that's what all I'm trying to say. To be honest, I forgot really what was my main argument.......

  • @JeloMulawin wow 5 comments, im feelin the love. the reason i was on the pc alot was because i was on exam leave and had got bored of daytime tv. i have seen enter shikari on Mtv. most of the people i know who listen to rap and other mainstream stuff listen to enter shikari. people who only listen to one type of music are narrow minded an i frankly dont have time for them. and enjoy the "real life" of final fantasy ^^

  • @SeanathenII In short, go fuck yourself and enjoy that :))

  • @SeanathenII same to you, you twat.

  • @JeloMulawin go fuck your self, you know im right

  • @SeanathenII And haven't you heard of EACH TO THEIR OWN? So we want to listen to Enter Shiukari, and it's only your own opinion that they suck. Well then, they probably suck in your own world, but I'd still like to listen to them.

  • @JeloMulawin yes i have and ive also heard of free speech. or are you one of those cunts who automatically thinks people who disagree with them are wrong? i have enter shikaris entire fucking discography! i am a massive fan! i just dislike common dreads and im sick of "Fans" saying how much better it is than their other stuff. Actually listen to some music and you'll realise that dreads is shite

  • @SeanathenII And I'm just gonna ignore that comment about me fucking head out of me arse, you fucking twat.

  • @SeanathenII lol

    Greaaaat assumption there m8 :L

    i play an instrument....drums

i listen to hardcore, post hardcore and PUNK no lighter metal shite

iv got one of enter shikaris demos

  • @SeanathenII just a question when u say u cover shikari do you mean synth and everything?

  • @AdamsFirstChannel unfortunatly not. we don't have enough money to afford all of rou's gear and you definatly need an EMX to do their stuff. our singer/synth player only has a Korg R3 and is saving up for a car so he can't buy it and the band it's self is saving up for a personal PA so we don't have to sing out of guitar amps.

  • @lukedemers . No Sleep Tonight and Solidarity are amazing, so's Zzzonked but the rest are pretty poor for Shikari. they've conformed and its affected their music.

  • 10 years?

they only got together in 03 :S

and it wasnt that he couldnt scream, he was just using techniques that fitted the songs more, if it was just like take to the skies it would get boring, bans need to have a bit of variation.

  • @morgant100

I know a guy whos band used to play with them and that was 8/10 years ago

  • im pretty sure rou could scream if he wanted to man, its not like his vocal chords would change that quickly. They're new album is just a different style from take to the skies, and true fans would support them for it. In fairness though, thats just my opinion against yours :P

  • @ELMcADAM

No, they've been touring so much and not resting and recouperating that both rou and chris have irreparably damaged their vocal chords. ive seen them live and they were pretty shit. the drummer was totally out of time, chris was out of key and it barely sounded like he was singing and rou, even when doing stuff from TTTS wasn't screaming properly.

True fans is another term for blind followers. a real fan would question and criticize what they do so they are better able defend them

  • just a clash of opinions on true fans then lol, i seen them live last october man, they were pretty awsome :P

  • i must have seen them pretty close to you. but they were absolutly balls, they were playing with The Devil Wears Prada and tdwp totally out played and performed them.

  • @SeanathenII are you having a laugh...tdwp were so shit, true tiger were much better then them to listen to, tdwp crowd just stood still, shikari are and were fukin incredible.

  • you obviously werent there then. i was in the middle of the pits for tdwp and for most of shikari, the devil pits were sooooo much better, the only problem was the guys mic wasnt turned up. Rudolph the Iranian (as he introduced himself) was the best of the night by far though. the only guy to get a WOD

  • @SeanathenII obviously i was there you dummb shit. In my opinion, and everyone else who went on that tour, TDWP were shit. ES were incredibly amazing, and thats the end. Get yourself checked son, tdwp crowd were like "get off the fucking stage".

  • @SHIKARIxoL Both Bands Kicked ass on that tour, and TDWP where amazing. They absolutely killed liverpool man

  • Your either blind or retarded then if you thought the crowd was shit for TDWP. and everyone I spoke to after the gig agreed that prada were better. And learn how to spell, you cock. And did you talk to EVERYONE who saw the show? Your either lying or thick if you thought the crowd were telling TDWP to get of the stage. You might have been but I can guarantee you were the only person stupid enough.

  • Rou can and still does scream. Even the low growls. Just because the band altered their direction doesn't mean he lost his voice. I for one favour Common Dreads over Take To The Skies and I've been a fan since 2005. Common Dreads IS much more complex and thematic, and I'm in the belief that you don't have to scream to be heavy (even I love a good scream!). I like Rou's new gritty shouting style. It suits what they're doing.

  • I agree to that comment, enter shikari are really good and they weregood on this concert, I want to see them on stage they rule!

  • yeah man thats fair enough, its just down to what you prefer :P

  • @10kproductions10k - Brilliant comment, everything you said is true.

  • @10kproductions10k yeah but i just miss the techno part in common dreads

  • Are they playing any good festivals this year?

  • hopefully sonisphere, they are very rumored

  • I Think there at the warriors dance festival man, with the prodigy and pendulum mabye?
