  • Sarah just think's that so god damn hilarious, dosen't she.

  • CHANGE TO FUCKING METRIC SYSTEM! Considered guy from Serbia!

  • my brain hurts.

  • Sarah you slut

  • Why does everyone always say that Satnav needs Einstein's relativity to work ? I worked for navman for two years, and I can tell you that we used Pythagoras. Is it a conspiracy ?

  • @tonycatman

Pythagoras requires three fixed points, which you don't have in GPS tracking. A satellite in space -- or a receiver high up -- is not moving at the same speed as a fixed point on earth. So, by the time it takes for the data to go up and come back down -- if the system considers everything on the same time scale, which it's not -- your orginal fixed point is now farther away. Relativity recalculates to account for this lag.

  • @dookdawg214 To work, the system needs three out of a number of satellites. All of them are moving, and often, so is the vehicle.

The light speed delay is inconsequential in comparison to the speed of movement of the four points, and the system adjusts accordingly. The satellites are really not that far away.

A predictive speed model for the vehicle is used either way, and this is the thing which requires the greatest adjustment.

  • @tonycatman It's because you are told to round off the errors. They are small for your purposes and can be discounted at your part of what you do.

Your calculations might be okay for calculating instantaneous position assuming instantaneous signal transmissions, but considering the distances and time for light to move as well as the movement of the Earth vs the movement of the satellite, that error becomes significant when calculating what position the sat will tell you.

  • @SavageJim01 Quick calc, then. How long do you think it takes for light to bounce from a geo-stationary satellite ? How far could a car travel in that space of time ? I reckon a max of 50 metres out, given the furthest satellite and max vehicle speed.

So you might adjust for the speed of light, but this is quite a different thing from acknowledging that the speed of light is a constant from every frame of reference, or using complex counterintuitive maths .

  • this is the worst! just the worst!

  • GREAT EXAMPLE AIRPORT WALKWAY

  • wait wait so you say shes walking in 3 kmph... not moving... since she is moving faster than 3 maybe not 6 but more than 3.. and while walking the other way she is moving 0.. but walking 3...

  • 2:16 sea gypsy xD

  • So what would happen if you ride a train moving at the speed of light, and you'd shoot a bullet towards the front of the train in the direction it is moving? What speed would the bullet have to someone standing next to the train?

  • @Timei well that depends on your frame (point of view) are you asking what would you see if you stood outside the train moving at 0 MPH releative to the train? ill answer a question with a question here ok.. what do you see at the firing range when sombody shoots a gun? answer... you cant see the bullet because its traveling to fast for your eyes to see. so what exactly are you asking? i dont mean to sound patronising btw.

  • @shua247 No of course my question is hypothetical. I know it would be impossible to see the bullet.

  • @Timei yea thats why i posted again mate i thought it seemed a bit silly of me to ask that. its a good thought experiment as well and what i put after that is what i "think" would happen. i could be wrong though

  • the bullet would gain mass thus preventing it from breaking the speed of light, time would also slow down from the bullets point of view. the guy on the train firing the bullet would be the same as sombody at the fring range becuase the bullet and the man in the train would be traveling reletive to each other and to the man outside he would see the train, the man and the gun shrink in legth by a factor of 7 because of this the bullet would not have enough time/lenght th accelerate past light spd

  • Sarah's hot

  • loves how me cant get it in his pocket

  • @ScienceTV would it be alright if i used this video for my website

  • if i am on an airplane that is going 100MPH and i turn on the headlights of the plane, it the light going faster than the speed of light on the ground?

  • @lamestbiokinectic Nope, everyone measures the same speed of light regardless of their speed, it has been experimentally discovered then Einstein based his theory on this experimental fact.

  • @ppsp3 If someone could turn on a flashlight while traveling at half the speed of light, it is not the speed of light plus half the speed of light. The beam would still only travel the speed of light. This is a prime example of what you are saying. I do not know how it would look though, I just know that the only thing that can travel faster than light is the expansion of space near the outer boundary of our known universe. Therefore we would never see the light from anything beyond that.

  • i dont get why would any1 dislike it? is it because they dont understand? or they just want to be a jerk

  • what happens to relativity if the light isnt the fastest thing ?

  • @CryADsisAM it would be the same

  • 5:12 haters gonna hate

  • its awesome guys useful

  • were

  • Wow! Guys, Sarah is not real....she an animation....you are idiots to think she's real.

  • @gynlo We never said she's real. We said she's hot ;)

  • @gynlo moron he knows that u idiot. that was sarcastic! -.-

  • 0:48 It's where zordon lives!!!

  • Is 'Sarah' really a guy..? Is that relative..?

  • This guy has such an annoying voice..

  • The walkway and truck examples are not completely perfect scientifically speaking.

because they would have to be tight shut like the car, so the air itself isnt moving aswell, air is a material and air resistance counts to that matter

  • magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors. The theory is like a beggar clothed in purple whom ignorant people take for a king ... its exponents are brilliant men but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists

  • Magnificent science.

    Horrible video.

  • I think you'll find, that it is actually Galileo's theory.

  • Sarah is hot

  • 3:12 Nice work Sherlock...

  • Can I get Sarah phone #

  • Einstein's third theory is so simple and easy to undestand but his theory of relativity is complex------- though intersting

  • Why is this labeled as Einstein's Theory of Relativity? It does not even touch his theory, except at the end where it says, that classical relativity does not work at high speeds. This should be "Classical Relativity Made Easy"

  • @0ester it is the introduction (ch 1)

  • @0ester If you were stupid ... and you were going 60 mph in a car ... you will still be stupid. But others would perceive you as moving towards greater stupidity even faster.

  • 1:00 "...within a few yards" you can tell this is old because they have apps on phones that are accurate within inches

  • AHHHH THE GUY IN THE VIDEO IS TALKING TO ME!!!

  • Worst narrator ever

  • Amazing video. Thank you what an awesome resource. I never had time to do this at college and I'm just getting into it now at 30. I did some math but would have loved to do this! Thanks again very clear

  • Oh for fuck's sake. I can't stand this narrator. He's terrible. Unsubscribed.

  • Technically the example with the truck is only really true within a vacuum. Air pressure would massively distort all the readings since you're moving through gasses.

  • i would bang sarah

  • The discovery of neutrinos being faster then the speed of light is a breakthrough discovery! This could prove Einstein's theory wrong!

  • @Skindoggiedog depends whether or not they are english, seeing as they invented the language then they can change it anytime they want.....without giving notice

  • @TheBrownbongo "they can change it anytime they want"

    It wasn't a want.

It was ignorance over which word is normally used in that context.

"english, seeing as they invented the language"

Oh? What language was it they were speaking before English was 'invented'?

  • @Skindoggiedog exactly that...i'm english so I can do what I WANT when I WANT with my langauge, you are simply a user and do not have that privilege, ok mr speak and spell?

  • fuck your voice is anoying

  • @eSkiad Agree. Worst narrator ever.

  • Physicists seem to have an unnatural penchant for snare drums.

  • that guy has a fucking annoying voice

  • Sarah's freakin' hot!

  • @1kakashi93 Susan>Sarah

  • @1kakashi93 yah they definitely made that leg shot a little too sexual

  • @1kakashi93 I scrolled down to see if anyone commented on Sarah. I knew it!

  • @1kakashi93 really? I found her dull and annoying...

  • @1kakashi93 See, I'm more into Suzan.

  • there's no equation. this sucks! science is NOT for babies!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RevolutionFist GTFO.... Take your politics elsewhere man...

  • so are you trying to make yourself sound like jesus or something by that annoying echo effect in your voice? dislike that...

  • The video starts at 00:30. Thumbs this up. For every person that clicks on my link, 30 seconds of an innocent person's life is saved.

  • @DamionCrane How do you know it's 30 seconds to everybody? lol

  • @peaceceman1199 ...Because it's a prerecorded video?

  • @BlueCosmology nahh it's nothing

  • @DamionCrane Relative to what ? ........

  • @DamionCrane Starts at 00.34 infact ..

  • @DamionCrane It was too late for me.

  • 4:22 I was actually learning something up to that point.

  • Since relativity breaks down the faster something is going, what would be the overall speed of light that you shine from a flashlight pointing forward on an asteroid traveling at half the speed of light?

  • @FlargidyTV The speed of light.

  • Sarah's legs.

  • ONE OF THE WORLD'S FINE EST

  • thanks that really helped, but then why does energy equal (planck standard x wavespeed) divided by wavelegnth?

  • sarah has great ass

  • i heared about relativity when i was in 4th standard..............

  • An atom or group of atoms will contract and expand EMR, projecting its own spacetime (time) at the square of the speed of light. This is why the speed of light is the same for all observers, and is not relative to the movement or the observer. Energy, mass and time are equivalent, they can only change form with each other. The Enfolding Waves of the Quantum Anti-matter Astral Light forms our thoughts and feelings and in turn forms our Unfolding Electron Out-waves. Enfolding/ Unfolding moments.

  • Einsteins equations for the contraction of space and time is not the end of time but rather the very beginning for each atomic Nuclei relative only unto itself from the very beginning! Matter is just space where it is very intense. Atomic Nuclei has to be wound up, before it can be unwound. The problem then with infinity is that it will only ever have the potential to exist at every point in space and at every moment in time. An atom or group of atoms will contract and expand EMR, projecting its

  • This is super awesome. I felt 10x smarter now :D I love the animations. I mean, why not? Animations in typical science videos are more to static, but in this video it's made interesting enough.

The only interesting I find is playing baseball on a truck! :D

I would like to argue that since they are playing at the back of the truck (open), the wind resistant will try to make itself noticeable ;)

  • This did explain the theory of relativity at all it just explained relative velocity.

  • @adamr1994 Relative Velocity is the very basis of Principle Relativity.

  • Actually, the observer standing by the side of the road would have a tough time clocking the speed of the baseball due to the angle he is at versus the path of the ball. He would be clocking a very small velocity, not 150mph.

  • Was that the 3D models from the Sims 2?...

  • If you people say that einstein is dumb or retard then why is he famous and you're not ?

  • Comment removed

  • einstein=dumbass retard

  • What if you were in a container moving so fast is was just short of the speed of light, and then you shot a bullet. Would the bullet move faster than the speed of light?

  • I am using this video to study for my science test on classical relativity and einstine's theory on this. I also need a good video that gives examples on the parodigm theory .. and I'm only in 6th grade. My life sucks.

  • common scence like all 'helpfull' physics, the advanced stuff is pointless no point to know that a rock 5 zilion light-years from us is moving faster than expected, big deal apply your efforts to somthing that will make a real difference to people. advanced theory is a waste of space that no human will ever experience you might as well write a paper on how you nerds will be shagging models models in the future as it has the same relevance and interst to 99.9% of regular peple here on earth.

  • sara got some thighs ...

  • Please guys, stop playing the "it's too difficult for you to understand" card, because it doesn't work anymore. There is no substance in this theory, it's not a theory for an elite of clever people, it's just a theory destined to be forgotten. Also why give credit to Einstein for the GPS? that's ridiculous.

  • @Bifolco2 I agree. Einstein didn;t creat the GPS, nor did he do anything to help. These people must be crazy to think einstine thought of this creation.

  • I agree.

  • Time doesn't exist, exists only movement. If every atom stopped moving would you have time? No. Time is just a human idea to keep track of these atoms moving. That's why there is no substance in Relativity theory. If nobody can explain it with simple words after so many years there must be a reason why: there is nothing to understand. Einstein initially made a great discovery by proving the light bending effect during the eclipse. After that it was all media hype.

  • the coin moved a little

  • Rubbish video. This is an introduction to the debunking of classical relativity, NOT einstein's theory of relativity.

  • @RandomCoked hey condomcoked!!!! youfuck ass!!! dont comment if you dont like the video okay ?

  • @IvanderHaisley I just love the response of someone who doesn't get my point. This title is misleading. And by the way, people watching this seem only to care about CGI babes.

  • stupid music

  • Did Matthew McConaughey do the voice-over?

  • After reading all your comments on Sarah I couldn't wait to see her. I felt a little disappointed when I realized she was computer generated.

  • you might want to explain einstein's theory a little in a video titled, "Einstein's Theory Of Relativity Made Easy " or you could just change the title to "Theory Of Classical Relativity Made Easy"

  • @absurdstranger or he might want to change it to "human insane religions"

  • Sooo is this sarah availble for dating..?

  • well duh.... sooo who gives a shit?

  • Susan walks like she has a potato chip in her ass

  • I think they're making a bigger deal out of what happened at CERN than will be the case once all the data is out.

  • Thanks!

  • @RevolutionFist actually Einstien was a theist at most

  • @deepmouse123 He wasnt a Theist, Deist, or Atheist. The closest belief Einstein could be entitled with is pantheist.

  • haha this could be wrong

  • aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

  • but they just told in the news that einstein might be wrong O.o

  • 4:43 = HOT legs. ;)

  • id like to bend Sarah over that walkway rail

  • Check this out!!! Obama Time travels to see JFK

  • pff i came up with this theory when i was like 9

  • @DaFleegsta

lol but can you derive time dilation and space curve in addition with lorenz factor from this simple concept of relativity?

what makes einstein's version of relativity from your kid's version is the ability to see beyond the surface

  • @superdahoho No, but one time I sneezed in my chocolate milk and then used my friend Billy's fruit roll up to pull out the snot.

  • @DaFleegsta

I'd totally feed that fruit roll to billy

  • @DaFleegsta You came up with classical relativity when you were 9, which is pretty simple. When I first heard about Einstein's Relativity, I was all like; "Oh that's obvious." Until I realized what it really was.

    It's not this.

  • @DaFleegsta

I came up wid this when i was in 3rd grade. :)

  • @ediramaa - This can't be done in the theory of relativity. At low speeds ie much less than the speed of light, velocities can be added in the way this video explains. However, if a ball is thrown in a spaceship at 1/2 the speed of light and the spaceship itself is moving at 1/2 the speed of light, a stationary observer will measure the ball to be moving at 4/5 the speed of light according to relativistic velocity addition.

  • 4:45 damn i would hit that anytime!

  • so then why cant we achieve speed of light by making a machine that shots the next machine for an extra 50 mph, and then the next one another 50 mph until the last machine reaches the speed of light? does anyone get me?

  • ok quick question

if the obserer was driving at 30 mph and then truck then passes the observer as the pitcher throws the ball does thaat mean the observer would get 120 mph on his speed gun?

    if that makes sense

  • brilliant explantion will watch the other vids, but in my mind susan is a hot milf and sarah is a first time teen lesbian, seriously, the shit those two get up too defies belief let alone Einsteins theory, TIME FOR A WANK.

  • the "music" sucks big time

  • @vafant Your here for the music? FYI this isn't a music video.

  • @Chulpasa It spoils the beauty of science

  • @vafant Very true

  • @vafant not all of it.

  • Jesus created all this =]

  • @TG070 No. lol

  • how can she still say she is moving at 3mph when she is not moving when an hour passes she wouldnt have walked 3 miles...sure she is moving her body as if she were moving 3mph but she actually wasnt moving 3 miles per hour

  • @crazyhairkid45 That's exactly the point the video is trying to make. She is moving over that conveyor belt at 3 mph. Say the conveyor belt was actually a continuous belt, then you'd be able to mark her start and end points, and the distance between the two would measure exactly 3 miles. So in fact, she DID walk at a speed of 3 mph. However, relative to the other girl outside the conveyor, she didn't move an inch during the whole hour. So it's RELATIVE.

  • @kroaal ahhh got it yeah i understood the other examples but ok i gotcha thx

  • i just had a wank over 4:43...

  • my brain is damage , I can't still figure this out.

  • I was sleepy until 4:23. hehe

  • I felt like I was 8 years old and watching Discovery Channel all day once more. Congratulations on such well put video!

  • i hate this mans voice...

  • relativity is meaningless. reverse it. meaningless.

  • Sopwith Camel...Biplane of choice of Snoopy vs Red Barron!

  • Sarah has some boner inducing legs. Quite distracting me from watching this.

  • 4:24 She's HOT!

  • this is not accurate.

  • This proves that we are moving at an approximate speed of 568000 mph at our current speed of time on earth. If we were to leave our universe and become motionless in a space ship at 0 mph, time on earth will stop (in our perspective but not to people still on earth). But the this hypothesis can't be proven true because time will not exist when we are not in motion away from earth. Therefore, disproving the existance of the hour, minute, second, millisecond, and microsecond at all.
