  • hey would a capacitor help the power supply out on keeping its volts from dropping /?

    thanks alot

  • @subadubawoofer - It could, but I would test before and after to see for yourself.

  • this must be the first exo video without a tgatgatga or shrglbablabl sound at the end!

  • @xianos707 - Back in the Q&A days lol

  • i have a box for two 10's. could i cut it out to make two 12's fit?

  • @FlawlessBMX863 - You could, but it probably won't be big enough.

  • another question. should i upgrade a bose sound system? it sounds good. but is it worth it?

  • i have a question. i bought a 95 seville. i have one 12 inch sub in the trunk. is their a way to make it louder? its in a sealed box. but i don't want to take up to much space.

  • @zave1525 - Build a nice ported box, and have a blast!

  • @EXOabigdeal HAHA i honestly don't want to build a box cause it will look like shit.

  • @EXOabigdeal btw thanks for you help. your vids help out alot.

  • @zave1525 Polyfil! Stuff that box full of polyfil. Did it a while back with my 2 12's and I was really impressed with the results.

  • @hondabiker22 do i pack it completely?

  • @zave1525 Yeah, basically, don't like make it super crazy tight or anything just pack it loosely until it's full then drop the subs back in.

  • @hondabiker22 will it sound ported?

  • Cant someone tell me what the fuck SPL and PSU means?

I've been into car audio for about 2 year, and still cant understand.. x)

  • @BassBoosterX - PSU & SPL are two completely different terms - PSU stands for "Power Supply Unit" - SPL stands for "Sound Pressure Level"

  • @EXOabigdeal Thanks for saying :)...

  • dude you must get so pissed with the 8 out of 10 ppl that ask you shit that you already explained or not pertaining to the video

"hey what kind of amp..." lmao

  • @muscleammo lol

  • I have a Rockford fosgate R300-4 amp, when i switch off my car while the music is on the mids speakers make a loud POP. What could possibly be the problem?

  • @MrRazorblood - It's called "source pop" and it's mainly cause by shitty grounds at the amp or at the headunit - Usually the headunit - It can even be cause by having your RCA's incorrectly placed near too much DC current too many places - Go through your wiring and ACE it up, meaning MAKE IT NICE!

  • i got a question which battery should i use? optima thats fit for the neon im putting it in, the optima only say it 750 cranking amps or xs power thats set for 3000 watts. im putting in spl grla 3000 watt amp with two spl splw 12's

  • @faceit86s - Optima SUCK!

  • @EXOabigdeal but you like Kinetik right? :-)

  • i got a question, i have a 2ohm capable 1000watt kenwood class d amp, and 2 4ohm 12" kenwood subs, i have to have the bass output on -10 or the amp turns on and off, what am i doing wrong

  • @steelasura - Check your grounds!

  • @EXOabigdeal thanks for taking the time to answer me back, i'll def try that, ill let you know how it goes

  • @steelasura - No problem, good luck!!

  • do the bass remotes help or wat

  • what do u think of my system EXO and what u think i should do to it?

  • exo i have a show truck that im wanting to make sound as good as it looks im in the air about what kind of sub and amp combo i was thinking 2 12" boss phamtom and a spl 3400 watt amp or premier competition need some advice my man

  • my four speakers are getting to much bass i just want my sub to get all the bass if i install a Parametric Equilizer will that help? also i do i install it please i need help i would appreciate thanks

  • so i have a zx400.1 amp and a Pole DXI 124 sub, had it in my truck then moved it to my explorer had a different guy tune it than the first time and it seems like my amp is getting really hot after playing for around a hour, now the weather is about 90+ right now and the amp is under the seat instead of behind the seats in my truck. I just wanna know why? ad it seems my sub is getting hot too.. thanks

  • Bigger sub, deeper bass. The 2 10"s might hit louder though, all things considered.

  • what GAUGE wire would i need for my sub terminals straigt to the amp terminals....i have a pioneer 12 inch 1000 watt rms powered by a 1200 watt rms amp........??????

  • @standardtoaster71 The wire to your sub to your amp? i used basic speaker wire and I had a 1200watt pioneer and used 8gauge power wire or if you want buy 6gauge.

  • yea i hooked my r.c.as up the same way, and when i spliced them to the speaker i did not know that they were touching and totally blew the shit out of a brand new boss phantom 12''

  • NINTENDO CORD??

darn, dude! use a funken resistive divider to get line lvl from speaker lvl.

  • Dam spell check

  • I was just wondering if you're into 8 inch subs .have u messed around with a high powered 8 before. poke audio came out with an 8 inch sub that has a 250 watt RMA and a 500 watt peak. dual voice coil. I always told people if you had the money.go with 8" subs a lot of them. in the right box powered to all hell. they have a stronger feel. less cone flex and have a response 2nd to none. if you want studio grade bass8 inch subs are the way to go

  • does anybody know if a boss audio onyx 15inch 1500watt rms is a piece of shit or not?

  • Your Q with the in house system, the gauge on the wires coming off of the psu's is far too noobcake for the amp to get steady jooce, he needs to upgrade those psu's to an appropriate car batt charger, the car batt charger will have hella beefier gauge wiring and piss enuff juice to make his house setup amp/sub slap the window's out his house :)

  • Dude guy, your mans with the psu's on the in house system - his problem is with the gauge on the wires coming off the PSU's - by psu i believe he's talkin a desktop pc power supply. . . the problem being is the gauge on the wire is far too noob for pumping the juice into the amp - if he wants to run this proper he needs to swap up for a battery charger for car batt's - he'll spend a pretty penny but he'll pound those amps with so much juice he'll slap the windows out his house :)

  • good videos. hey I have classic 64Tbird any with original am radio. I bought a pioneer stereo that I want to install under dash. any suggestion on installing?

  • Is Memphis car audio good

  • @puffdaddyjes yes but expensive as hell

  • Alternator and battery so i can put in a deck finally our just get a deck

  • Get a

  • I have a ? Should I do the big 3 upgrade on my newer SUV I have a 08 expedition with 2 10kickers and two JL 12in all have been wired in using efx wiring my amp for the kickers is a ken wood stereo 400 watt amp and my JL is off a planet audio 2500 mono amp do I

  • efx wire kits any good?

  • Dude your a fuckin genius.. christ!

  • "cut that mutherfucker right in half!" thats good

  • lol i put my heads together :)

  • can u hook up two amps to one subwoofer and make it better and louder

  • STOP SAYING "UMMM"!!!!

  • that 1st story was genius man! haha the more i've got into audio the more it makes me want to be an electrician lmao

  • hey EXO im sure your tired of hearing from me but i was wondering i put the type E's in the car like i was sayin with the MRP m500 and your completley right! it slaps hard for type E's but i had to bridge the subs because the M500 only has one single speaker output, and my lights are dimming and the amp is at nominal power so would it help if i ran them in series at all? or leave them bridged because it seems as tho bridged is drawing a lot more power then it should be. any thoughts?

  • hey man nice work your doing here i got a question i have a single cab truck and im planing on putin a sub box on the back of the seat but im still think what should i put in it 4 10 in or 3 12 in

what do you think would be best ? and still dont know what subs maybe memphis or kicker

  • How can u wire 10 gauge to a amp...cause my amp hole is small please tell me

  • @DeejayDimez hey man i do know a little about this problem i had the problem a while back with my old set up..it depends on how powerful of a system your running but ud be better off to run at least 8 gauge (minimum) and buy a reducer..i did that with 4 gauge and reduced it down to 8..worked like charm

  • exo, whats up bro love your info vids! well, i have a question on a better decision to make on either going with 3 alpine type r's in the 3 12" slot ported box or go with 2 15" dmx massive audio's also with a nice big ported box either one for rite now would be powered by a brz..2100.1d hifonics brutus for now till i get the 3500k sundown! i need to kno what subs are a better choice to run with??? thanks for any advice!!!

  • wtf is wrong with you?!?!? you cut a nintendo cord in half?!?!?

  • hey man whats a good brand for 0 gauge cable... i live in Dominican Republic and im thinking of buying cable to do the big 3 and change all my cables and start building a sound syst all over again...cuz like i told you i sold all my shit.. :P

  • good vid keep up the good work just a tip for the toggle switch you can find an 12 v aux wire on the rear of the ignition this saves the amp getting left on when 1 forgets to flick the toggle switch off

  • y dont you start a audio hook up type of thing

  • Dude

Got a problem. I'm running two amp's with very limited air space. What would be the best way to keep them cool. I thought about running a water cooled fan. It's a closed sys that would not leak. Or shoutld I just make a rack and mount a couple fans, one blowing on the amps and on as the exhaust? Let me know what you think.

    Dirtyred324

  • i have a toggle switch, i think its better to use one because for when you dont want bass you can just turn the amp off opposed to haveing your remote wire hooked up to your radio

  • @AIVIP3DxX wow, and my friends and i, thought we was brilliant for "coming up" with that idea for a toggle when cops kept pulling me over!

looks like we were proud to invent something thats already been thought of and done!

    ignorance is bliss! hahaha

  • make a video on how to install the equalizer..

  • what should i do: one 15" and 420 rms at 2ohms one channel. or two 12" at 420 rms at 2ohms one channel? would that make each 12, 210 rms?

  • @MetalCranium3 you should get the two 12s it will be louder because of the cone area

  • if you look at my videos my whole system got took at work and i want another 1 how can i keep it from gettin took again and i have an alarm system

  • hey dude is sound barrier a good amp!!

  • let me ask you a question man... i got an apline 9886 cdplayer an when i got the special made wiring harness for my car it didnt come with the red (power) wire... well my cd player has one.... i ran it to a fuse just to get it to work.... is there anything better than i can do with the red power wire from my cd player ??? thank you

  • @EXOabigdeal With that guys psu proberlms theres no way that the 12volt rail on the psu has enough amperage to power that amp when he starts turning it up it will light up the amp and may put it a little amount of power but its not enough the most amperage i seen for a psu is 36amps and thats on a 1200 watt psu and thats peak not rms im just wondering wether a cap could help to stabilize the load probs not

  • i got 2 10 inch mtx thunder 6000 with 2000 watt amp with a blown amp and it still bumps and only payed about 150 tottal for all of it

  • Tyler00rm250@ high level input is like speaker wire, say if you ran speaker wire from your speakers to your amp that is where you would connect it. Low level input is the red and white RCA cables, if you have an aftermarket headunit, there will be outputs on the back for these cables to connect to your amplifier. They both do the same thing but the low level might sound a bit better!

  • what is a high or a low level imput. i have a high level imput and i have know idea what the heck it is. please tell me.

  • ok so amps have watts number right how do you match a sub with the amp i might sound dumb as fuck but im new and need some good help u seem to know what ur talkin about and also i want more clear sound out of my speakers and more bass power in the back so i was thinking anathor alpine type r 10" but i dont know what amp to get to power both or just get one more to bower that comment or messege me back thanks

  • What is exo contralto, what does it stand for?

  • i have 3 12's 2 of them are 2ohm and the other is a 4ohm, i dont know how i got them wired but they work but the 4 is moving slower, if i change the 4ohm to a 2ohm would that make a big difference. please give me a answer

  • @jonathanwallace18

hey man, if you have the ability to wire

he 4 ohm speaker down to 2 ohms that

might work. search "subwoofer wiring" on

youtube. If your speakers are high end enough

    it should do the trick.

I don't think that would fix it but it might.

  • @jonathanwallace18 that is like the same situation i have going on, three twelves just like that

  • @jonathanwallace18 I THINK that if they are dual voice coil you can wire them in series and cut them to 2ohm..... BUTTT you lose half of you're power handling and clarity

  • as far as im aware, you can parallel PSUs the same way you can car batteries with no side effects.... the only problem is if you try to series them! The whole car amp home setup thing is a tricky one as you only ever seem to max about 11.8v with PSUs, rather than 13.5 from the car batteries, so youre gonna loose some RMS there.. if only there was an easy way... ;)

  • Lol you put your heads together Wink Wink Nudge Nudge.

  • For whoever is wondering about the psus.please do not connect 2 at one time.I've experimented with that before.one of the psus will blow up.

  • buy 0gauge off knukonkepts its cheap as fuck and doesnt give u alot of plastic

  • just thought i would comment, ive had that problem before with my car, but instead of using a jumper, i found a 12v switched lead behind the fuse box and tied into that, also i tied into the wire harness for the factory sub amp to get signal for my subs (i took the factory subs and amp out)

  • Hi, I have been looking at a Soundstream XXX-4000D.

    The spec's are saying:

    2 Channel Class D amplifier

    RMS Power: 2 x 2100 Watts @ 4 ohm

    RMS Power: 2 x 3000 Watts @ 2 ohm

    RMS Power: 1 x 4000 Watts @ 4 ohm Bridged

    T.H.D: 1.0%

So, where it says "RMS Power: 2 x 3000 Watts @ 2 ohm" Does that mean if I run one 2 ohm sub off each channel, then they will each receive 3000wrms?? (Not considering THD of course)

  • hey exo i need some help i got two 12w1v2s in a sealed box with about 1.5 cubic foot of air in each chamber and im lookin at a bandpass box and im tryin to figure out which one will give me the best quility and be the loudest

  • i have the same subs 2 12s in a 5.0cube box tuned 32 hz sounds good

  • Doubling cone area or power will usually give you about 3 db each.

    2 12's have only 15% more cone area than a 15.

  • good idea for you guys wanting cheap 0g wire.... go to your local hardware store and buy welding cable. much cheaper, and rated for atleast 300amps and you can pick it up for around $2 a foot.

  • EXO just wanted to say your doing a great service for those with questions... really good to watch to, refresh my brain some and kill some time its interesting knowing what others are asking and to see them answered... great stuff

  • Comment removed

  • wut is the best 0 gauge power wire out these..

  • thanks exo!

  • No problem my man!

  • hay whats the best setup.. i want 3 12 inch polks or maybe 2 15 inch polk momos in a ported band bass box.. but in your experience wich speakers hit the ground hardest wich brand.. but i want mine to shake and shutter the ground

  • go with 2 12" Cerwin Vega V-max subs they hit clean and hard even in a ported and they are louder than type r's

  • oh 4real alright man thnx. but do they have 15s or 18s and plus i have an 01 volvo s40 with a slightly sealed trunk so wil they rattle too much

  • I use a pus and i cant get to to work XD

  • good stuff bro youre right on point

  • Thanks bro - Anything you ever need - I'll do my best to answer.

  • hey man whats some of the good brand names for all the wiring stuff

  • Bradisbrad1

Good brands for Amp wiring is:

Stinger,Knukoncepz,Rockford Fosgate,Kicker,Memphis,JL, monster etc. Some people use thick welding wire.

Look for brands with pure copper, high strand count and not the cheap sub par aluminized shit.

  • hey exo that helped out alot man Im glad you take your time to make vids to help others out 5*s man keep up the awsome work
