I've shot the video "BRAMS a Roses" with the same camera. I look forward to hear your opinions. It's using 24p standard, 4/3 and white balance set to 5300K most of the time but switching back to 3200K sometimes.
This is very well shot, Rozhdstvo! Can I ask what the settings where on your camera for this? It looks like you shot with the Letterbox option yes? Try filming squeeze and then exporting the footage as 16:9 and you'll get the full picture without the bars around the picture. I love the movement of it also. Did you shoot at 1/48th shutter speed? Brilliant work! Love the music. Yours?
thanx my friends! sorry i didnt respond so long!been working hard with my band(i am a singer in a band called Champagne Morning ) and making videos this is my hobbie)
yes girl is amazing, most beautiful girl i've ever seen!
thanx for supporting my videos!very soon i'll upload the video of my band!)hope you'll like it!
Great work. Simple and clean. I was thinking, what program you have used to edit this clip and how do you do these "Flash to white" effects? How you get this clean motions with the camera, with a Steaycan?
Well, this is my concern. If it has a steep learning curve for someone who already knows something about video, the learning curve for someone like me who knows nothing must be massive.
I used consumer cams before the dvx, so i knew nothing really to work it, its a whole new level going pro after consumer, nothing really applied to the dvx that I already knew.
You get them used for around 1000 bucks now. It's not HD, but it produces a really great image at 24fps. The good thing is, there are so many manual controls that it's the PERFECT camera to learn on...the more you use it, the more practical stuff you'll be forced to pick up, like learning a language.
And HD has it's own huge set of concerns to deal with, so best start with this camera. You won't regret it.
im curious to know if the thin vertical lines are actually the ccds overloading or done in post, the thick and soft verticals are obviously real and from lens flare.
I like the end scene....when you can see a part of her *** or whatever.....nice lighting, nice slow-motion, nice camera shaking (not like the cheap-ass camcorders), nice editing, nice song..nice girl....fuck..I need a dvx100 too
Your clips are so wonderful and professional looks! Good luck! I am also learning a editing in FCP 6. I would be glad if you tell me what kind of effect did u use when its fade in. Its something like a flash light. can i make it in FCP6. if yes than pliz needed your tips.
nice work! this scene of course lives from the soft light from the side coming through the window. but i like your style of DOF usage and the way you play with slow-mo. very cinematic!
It's funny isn't it? People spend thousands of dollars to shoot their film on high definition when DVX users can make films look a billion times more cinematic.
I just ordered the DVX100A yesterday i like it better because of the time lapse feature and i can't wait to get it after seeing all these videos in flash format and they still look amazing i cant imagine the quality in a normal format! Nice videos by the way cant wait to see the final movie
Love it!

if you want to get the most out of gear like this use a tripod whenever possible..
SteveHovland 2 years ago
@SteveHovland A tripod would have sucked all the energy out of the video. It really depends on the situation man.

So worth the money, has a pretty steep learning curve but well worth the inexpensive price, highly recommended

how come most of the other DVX100 clips on here don't look half as good is it to do with your setup?
pjnoodles 3 years ago
I have that same question. I have to assume it has to do with the ability of the film maker and understanding how to use the camera.
dwcarkuff 2 years ago
It's the very best point of view. You scored ten for love in my opinion. The girl is beautiful. And btw, i'm buiyng this camera ;)
