It looks like a rivet to me, so could you/should you put another bit on the inside to suggest it is a rivet that has pierced the basket?

Art Show was very slow Sat weather to nice about 75 d F! A Spring blizzard came in at midnight,we got 3 1/2 inches of wet snow, show was better on Sunday.

Like your baskets very much, stars make me think of American Country motif's from back east. Is there any particular reason or meaning for your stars?
