  • I'm getting the feeling, from reading some of the posts here that a lot of younger metal head that are now just discovering M.S. are just as blown away as I was when I found UFO/SCORPIONS in the early 70's.Still one of my all time favs.

  • Cozy Powell !!!!!!

  • AXE thanks again!! Awsome band!! You must be one lucky man you really shared

so many people that Micheal lives on and on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Schenker is best !!!!

  • Ive been listening to metal my whole life & this is the first time i listen to these guys , and i'm BLOWN AWAY damm..

  • Just a brilliant timeless song, by some incredible musicians, I'm hoping Michael makes it over to the west coast of the USA this year! Keep on Rocking!

  • Thanks! Great track played live. !

  • Shenker - Lights out !

  • Michael is German...why couldn't he translate during the concert??

    Hummmm....???

  • Schenker is BEYOND AMAZING! His playing is so utterly bluesy and emotive, with amazing creativity and fluidity! Unquestionably one of the best rock guitarists EVER.

  • @AudiophileTubes I agree with you man, thnx for tuning in!

  • you impress me again AXE!!!

  • Rock guitar at it's best!

  • Any band that puts Cozy on the sticks is fucking awesome. Schenker rippin' it up as usual in this vid. I need to get more MSG albums!

  • Indeed cry for the nations.

  • Van Halen and Schenker would be interesting together. They do play similar in that they both play funny or weird melodies. On the other hand, Schenker plays more introverted and sensitive while Van Halen is more extroverted and flashy.

  • @wiredgypsy Both guitarists aer good but they are very diffirent

  • really cool !!

  • Just seen the man himself in Newcastle... phenomenal.

  • Thanks for posting all this amazing MS footage, AxeflyerV! I saw MSG in 92 or 93 (if memory serves me correctly) and he was amazing. I missed his last tour, but next time they are in California I must go!!! Please keep the vids coming!

  • thanx for this one.

  • you know i don't think Eddie v Halen and Michael schenker would sound good, they have such diffrent styles

  • Schenker fantastic then with Gary Bardon. Memories of Wolves Civic '80-'81?.

    RIP Cozy.

  • Eddie and MS, that would be very interesting ! both gr8....

  • Mikey and Alex Lifeson doing some harmony leads would be sehr interesant, nicht?

  • DORIAN

  • It would have been cool to see a jam between Michael Schenker and Eddie Van Halen around this time. It would be interesting, to say the least.

  • MS was his usual dynamic self, but Cozy was equally up to the challenge.

  • ive loved that black &white guitar for so long, and yes, i should just move on , but hey i heard a ufo album back in 78? i dunno , read who the guitarist was , and been faithful since ,

  • Me too, seen him all over Europe and even got my name on the first Thnak You CD!!! He remains my favourite guitarist ever.............

  • Right on brother!

  • Great live, love this song and Schenker is awesome!

  • I agree with you my friend!

  • schenker/glenn/raymond/powell/barden. 1982 germany

  • Schenker at his finest:)

  • you get better as time passes not worse

    long live schenker

  • "nor was the song writing comparable to UFO"

I agree... Any one of the 1st 3 MSG albums were much BETTER so there is no comparison.

It's all subjective but the album MSG as a whole, blows away any album UFO ever did.

UFO was to Michael, as Quiet Riot was to Randy... a great intro to the business, but their true sound came out later.

  • Thats a very interesting and unexpected point of view.

Almost all the material Ive hear form Michael have benn from his time with UFO.

I will have to hear the first albums from MSG...

  • It's true. I loved U.F.O. But I saw both of them live, Michael seemed like he'd been released, absolutely awesome !

  • I disagree, I like both but I think UFO was still great w/o Schenker and Schenker was awesomw w/o UFO, but the combo was MAGIC ! 35 yr. fan.

  • I stop following UFO after Mecanix & after seen them live with Atomic T,Steve Vai was in the audience,UFO Reseda's Country Club!

  • Good stuff, I bought the LP when it came out, but MSG solo groups never matched UFO at their height, mainly becasue none of the MSG vocalists stood out like Moog nor was the song writing comparable to UFO in their peak period.

  • wow, das waren noch Zeiten, wenn man sich dagegen das aktuelle Album "In the Midst of Beauty" anhört, kommen die Tränen

  • great post cozy.......................

  • saw Cozy Powell twice with ELPowell , talk about a master of his profession !

    thunder in the valley

    rest in peace

  • Man Cozy is on fire behind that drum set!!

    R.I.P. Cozy

And I think this version is the best one I've seen Gary preform. And of course, the mad axeman is great as always!!

  • I agree. Underappreciated.

  • There in no drug and believe you me i did them all in the early 80's that gets me more fired up than listening to michael schenker riff. Great memories of being a teenager. Micheal Schenker is a true and undrapreciated guitar hero.

  • Yes !!! Cozy Powell best drummer ever!!!

  • i ment 408...

  • 418 ms starts to solo in minor key, always wondered why he never seems to use minor keys to solo, pretty rare for him i think...

  • Schenker is great guitar player

  • @2:48 going down this little scale riff is major feel ladies and gents...look@his body movement with each note...say what you want about any other guitarist but feel is what sets michael apart from everyone else.

  • every fucking nite im 18yrs old all over again...fuck father time...my wife threw a fucking shoe at me in the middle of schenkers lead because she doesnt understand that when i was 18 i wasnt with her so when im watching this shit she isnt there...lol

  • Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There was a time in my life when Schenker's solo's were more important than FOOD,WATER and SEX. I hear ya brother.

  • Michael Schenker is really the guitar god!! No one but Michael can play this guitar solo. Thanks!!

  • I agree,thnx for watching!

  • damn!!!!...listen to him....schenker is always the shit but he was especially ON this night. WOW!

  • Hadn't heard a song from MSG for maybe 20 years !!! This is one of my favourite. Still great. The sound quality of this video is very good.

  • i agree im especially diggin the close ups on his riffs

  • Long Live COZY POWELL ! What great drummer.

    LOUDER!

  • He's dead ;-). Long live the memory, though.

  • GUITAR GOD

  • that tone!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting, Axe. This is a great one!

  • Love this performance!
