Hey! We're doing this show right now. And we're using that exact backdrop. Rocky was in this, and she's directing it at Cal Poly SLO now. She picked them up from her High School. I'm guessing it was Dana Hills.
Well in defense of the Boss, for only being 16 years old I think he did a pretty good job. I believe he played the part the way the director wanted it to be. And believe it or not that is a character voice. HIs normal voice is mach better. And to KeybaldesMaster - did you get permission to post this under the actor's consent?
You know what? I don't care. If you're just going to waste my and your time by posting that ridiculous comment, keep to yourself next time. Sorry for taking my annoyance out on you, but I'm really starting to get sick of everyone boasting about "how good" their Boss was. I didn't see anyone else's shows, and I don't care. Okay? Don't post irrelevant crap as a comment. I apologize. Have a good day.
Ok, not to be harsh, but I am currently playing the part of The Boss in our schools production of Sideshow, and the kid whos doing it here, I dont like how he does it. He's off rythym alot, he goes flat, he speaks it alot, and he has some trouble with hitting notes and ditction. I wouldve been better if he used a different character voice, or even a character voice at all. I also thought he dropped charecter sometimes with his movement.
He's just doing what he was told. **shrugs** Mr. Rigg, the director, is weird like that. Plus... this was our worst performance. **shrugs again** But thanks for the criticism. ^^ It's always appreciated.
yea. i'd have to kinda agree with you...really agree. i'm sorry to those who were in this. its a hard musical. alot of my friends were in it (the Sideshow we put on at my school) and trust me, they worked hard. but our boss was so good. he nailed it down perfectly. he put alot of character into his role. and also with that beast. it needs to be way more violent. ours, the people who were holding him down were thrown across the floor. i mean it was really good.
Like I said, worst night. But, I'm not going to defend the boss anymore 'cause he hates me. As for Jake, "The Cannibal King", only one of the guys holding him back actually had any strength really and Mr Rigg didn't want them hurt... And he doesn't throw his first fit until pt. 2... Though, in his 2nd fit later on, he almost put a hole in a flat and knocked the set down (every time too). But, yeah, our show could have been a lot better. I won't deny that.

If you're using the same exact "backdrop," then yes, the high school was Dana Hills. I watched them paint it. ._.

I think the Boss did wonderfully except his voice was a rollercoast.
And those are the best twins I've seen singing wise in any production of this show.

Yeah, the actor knows.

I mean did you ask him or the girls who play the twins if you could post this on youtube?

I asked the director before I posted it and he said it was fine. I talked with some of the people later on and they were fine with it.
