  • @Jesusdragon737 I found that when I just do plain flat ground 720's I don't need to wind up a lot to spin but rather just tuck in tight. When I do a back flip 360 or 720 should I throw in really big on the spin or flip, throw in the direction I want a little and just tuck my arms in real right?

  • @TheMummy516 You've got the right idea. I'm pretty sure if you try winding up and throwing your spin really hard in a 360 or 720 flip, you're going to just throw yourself off completely. It's more about doing a quick small movement to start the spin and then just pulling your arms in tight.

    I think its cos ur not tense enough. Try to tense the bigger muscelce. Like back, belly, legs and arms and see if its helping.

  • @GAGALOVER347 Just keep practicing. That's really the key, but one thing that you could do to help your spin is to practice plain 360s just jumping up from the ground and get them so you can land at exactly 360 degrees every time.

  • finally landed the standing double full today but i just can't do a backflip 360 the opposite way, i spin to the right really fast but can only do a back 180 the other way

  • @bbuster9 Sorry for taking forever to respond, but if you can already do a 540, then just hold it longer. The feeling you get right when you finish a 360 and keep going is the same thing for changing a 540 into a 720.

  • Hey I have trouble doing a 360 frontflip and backflip. I can land them but just barely. Its because of my rotation or spin is too slow. Got any tips?

  • @Diltar123 Spin faster. Haha It depends on how you have been coached. If your coach told you to look a certain direction to achive your spin, dont listen. You entire body has to follow your head and stay tight. Try this drill: take a small piece of carpet or rug, and place it carpet down ona hard floor. Stand on it and attempt to spin around. if you dont twist your whole body, the rug will stay in place.

  • see how you landed in an angle. with out that trampoline bounce it gives even with out jumping you would have hurt yourself. still pretty good for a start. hope you can do this on flat fround now.

  • @AcousticAiden Flat ground? That's funny. I can barely do a standing full on flat ground. Doing it on the ground is much, much harder than on the trampoline.

  • @mmurf46 Can you already do a double full while bouncing, or can you do a normal full? Getting a double full if you only have a normal full is one thing, while teaching a normal full is different from that, and improving your spin if you can already do a double full is also different...

  • @Jesusdragon737 i can do various types of flips (front, side, back, gainer..), frontflip one and a half twist, backflip double twist, cork... but e.g. for a backflip double twist i'd have to jump pretty high, otherwise i wouldn't make it...

  • @MoeApeCon Something I did to practice spinning faster is doing a standing 720 on the ground. If you get that, you should be able to apply it to the double full to help you twist faster. Also, it helps to delay the spin for a split second after you pull up in the flip. That way you will get more height.

  • I'm sure there are tutorials for it on youtube, but basically, you have to pull really hard and stay tight throughout the move. After you initiate the spin (like in a full), don't stop yourself at a 360. Just try to go a little farther each time. A 450 or 540 degree spin would be the next step after a full.

    Note that although it IS pretty cool, you probably wouldn't land that on the ground, because you DO actually bounce and just jumping off of a trampoline gives you height. But, all in all, you'll get close. All you need is practi(c/s)e and FAITH. SOUL POWER, boy!

  • Spinning while flipping is one of the most difficult things to teach. Some important things to know are that your spin much faster if your body is completely straight. Also, the spinning power comes from your upper body, mainly your arms. If I could write a paragraph here, I might begin to be able to teach it.

  • give this a try.

    do a normal straight back with your arms up all the way through.

    once you can do this confidently, bring you right arm (or left if you twist anticlock wise) down and hold it out to the side, while keeping your other up.

    if you keep straight, this will make you do atleast a half twist.

    once you have this down, you need to bring you other arm down and accross your body.

    to do more twists, its just a case of doing this motion faster, and stronger.

  • Just practice doing them while jumping more. Get it so you can do the entire two rotations, then still have time to open up and land nicely. After that, work on doing it with a lower and lower bounce.

  • u said that doubletwist back standing on the tramp was way harder than tuck back on the ground but i would say thats wrong. wat u did just there is easy. but saying that yes u cnt do stuff without a bounce on the tramp because there is so much give in the tramp and the movements u need to make to lift urself in the air makes it pretty impossible to lift up without a slight bounce

  • thats amazing! and everybody who's criticizing him, i'd like to see you try and do better. having known from experience, it is EXTREMELY hard and nearly impossible to swing your arms without 'jumping' a little bit. and without swinging your arms, there is no flip at all. he didnt even really jump. and his jump was VERY slight anyway. most people wouldnt notice if it weren't for all of you people criticizing him.

  • Ok you cannot get any closer to doing anything "no bounce" on a trampoline. The only reason I sort of bounced was because that's just the way to jump on the ground or whatever. Right before you actually do the jump, you take some weight off of your legs so you can get optimum power in your jump when you pound the ground. On a trampoline it is much more noticible, however, because the ground moves with you. I take some weight off of my feet, then pound them into the trampoline. Not a bounce.
