Thank you so much! I've been having a lot of trouble with second and third tones. Your comparison with English tones helped me to finally hear the difference! 谢谢!
Arn't you beautiful! You speak english so well and your way of teaching in a simple way that anyone can grab a hold of is great.
I walked into a store selling antique chinese furniture and I suddenly fell in love with everything chinese. I know the written chinese language is also very beautiful. Can hardly wait to learn more.
By using an English word to teach the tones, I was able to clearly hear the tones for the first time! That was a brilliant way to teach the tones. Now it doesn't seem so hard at all!
well first off i would like to thank you for helping me in understanding mandarin chinese better. You have a beautiful personality and it is delightful to watch your videos. Now, the second part, is that many say the third tone is not always done fully and it only drops usually in conversation(not completing the upper part of the check mark like quality of the third tone) , so with this in mind, how does it differ from the fourth, would it be the speed? Once again thank you ;)

They should teach how are are explaining this is makes it easier when u make a comparison with your native language and the language you are trying to learn thanks a lot
Thank you! Of all the languages of the world, I always found Mandarin to be the most intimidating. Thank you for breaking it down into smaller bites, making it easier to learn. The testing idea is great too! Fun!!! :)
Excellent lesson. I find your examples very user friendly and easy to relate to not only in terms of the level of the tone but also the timing or how long the tone should last. Your face is handsome, the pitch and tone of your voice is beautiful, you have a great energy about you and have great body language. Altogether this makes you a pleasure to learn from. Thank you very much for your help. I hope to speak to you in Mandarin one day! All the best for your future. Jie fu
Love your videos. It is clear and your voice is very nice to listen to and it makes it very interested and understand able. Please post more videos. I am trying to learn Mandarin now in Hong Kong and you are helping a lot making things just clearer. Keep up the good work. Xie4 Xie4
You are a natural talent. As a communicator or instructor you are magnificent. Your inherent intelligence is obvious, made more so by the excellent fashion in which you approach an intimating language.
THANX!!!the world would be a better place if more people like u exist-the culture sharing of knowledge.=)
and of course, equipped with some amazing teaching skills..waaaaah, admire. p/s-im not a gay.

I know the tones already but this is helpful because it shows similarities with something many people know (English). Keep making these videos!
