@luvmj4ever904 chimps aren't monkeys, they're apes just like gorillas and orangutans. Apes are bigger, stronger and smarter than monkeys, so they have the advantage over them. Btw, it's the same diet of meat and veggies we have.

No we didn't descend from either. Based on DNA studies, it appears we shared a common ancestor w/ Chimps and that line split about 10 million years ago - but that's completely different from saying we descended from chimps.
