hi im looking to get this watch but curious how does the watch know what the tide is in the specific place you are.

@hikinguphigh It doesn't. You have to set it to your local tide.

@hikinguphigh u need to set it initially and then periodically to the location u r at. i think it's explained in the manual that comes with the watch

Timex and Walmart have been holding out on us... I just went to Timexes page and found all kinds of styles I want...And none are on Walmarts site. Now just how do I get them??? (lol, I'll find a way)

for me, Timex & Seiko are the bests watches. To my knowledge Timex is the only one manufacturer wich makes analog wachtes with indiglo night light, this is why they are good.

I bought a TIMEX Expedition E-Tide Temp Compass watch a couple of days ago, it's a great thing... still discovering its features, I'm about to check the tide settings and how to read my watch for it. The compass is awesome, the declination setting is really user friendly, great tool and looks great!
