Steve Winwood is a supremely talented artist. This song is an all-time cracker. 'Back in the high life'An Award winning Album, which includes a stunner "Higher Love"which fetched him a Grammy Award in1986.
At this point in my life, I feel this song fits me so well. I mean, I've been working four days a week for the past month and a half, and I just bought a car, after not having one for almost exactly two years. The funny thing is, when I heard I'd be going back to work again, I kept thinking of this great song. Thanks for posting it.
Indeed, a very memorable event for sure! It tingles my spine each time I see those 2 performing that lovely song...SO MUCH TALENT, not like much of the junk we see today.
Yes that is James Taylor and he is a tall guy. He also sang on the original release of this song. These are two of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time who vocally sound excellent together. I wish there were artists of this calibre in todays music industry but unfortunatley all we have today is industry.
wotsitooyou! I've had this in my favorites for a while and enjoy it sooo much! What show or special did you get this from? I'd love to find it and watch the whole thing.
What year was this concert? I had the Low Spark of High Heeled Boys which came out when I was 9. I loved that album and listened to it a lot all through high school. Then Steve Winwood disappeared and made a comeback with this and a few other songs. I never liked his later stuff as much as his earlier stuff although he is amazingly talented.
Thank you for your reply. I was sure it is James taylor, but it always good to get a second opinion to clarify. I have seen the other videos, and I was also at a concert where one of the videos was filmed with Eric Clapton. Thanks again!
Would I ever love to know what show this came from. :) The song is one of my all-time favorites, and this is the finest live version I've seen yet. And is it just me, or does the accordion turn this into something really special?

For those of you that are curious where this came from, it is from the VH1 Honors Concert back in 1997.

Maybe someone could clarify for me, but is that James Taylor singing with Stevie?

Yeah. If you check out the other songs from this show you'll see Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crowe, Levon Helm and others. Amazing performances all around.
