2:15 zebrał Tomek kontrującego świstaka. Gunn wykonał tą samą akcję trzy razy pod rząd i za trzecim razem z powodzeniem. Widać ze Tomek jest świetnie wyszkolony, ale wspomniana akcja obrazuje że jest jeszcze trochę elementów do poprawy. jakby Tomek miał załóżmy szczękę jak Haye to mógłby wiele razy zaliczyć knockdown w karierze. Tomek jest niedoceniany, jest w stanie walczyć z każdym, szkoda że kasa i układy w boksie mu to uniemożliwiają. No ale poczekajmy, po ośmieszeniu Adrzejka być może czeka go starcie z Hopkinsem.
Ref should've let this fight go on into the next round. This was a bogus stoppage, wherein the beginning of the following round just required a keen eye in order to see how badly Gunn still was. Although buzzed, Gunn had no problem getting to his corner after the bell rang to end the previous round, so he should have been allowed to try a little more in the next round at least.
I mean, a warning that the fight could potentially have been stopped would've worked better.

Bobby Gunn gave it his all and went 4 hard rounds with the best cruiserweight in the world. Adamek even said he couldn't beleive Gunn's chin. So all u Pollock fish gutting haters can suck my balls.

All these fights happened since April of last year. That's five fights in one year and two months. He stays active - no other fighter at his level fights as much as he does.

Gunn wasnt hurt enough to stop the fight sure he took some shots but you gotta take some to give the one you want sometimes i could understand if he cut badly or knocked down but that wasnt the case he had alot of fight in him and he has alot of heart to get in with adamek and i salute gunn for his courage and his sportsman attitude but too say the least he was robbed of his oppurtunity to fight he wasnt given a chance if he was gonna go out let him do so swinging

Gunn was a very graciuos looser. Hats off to the man - he took many good punches to the head, and the reasonable thing to do was to stop the fight. Does anyone know whether judges & doctors count the number of good head hits before a TKO is announced?
no it doesnt work like that....the ref could stop it for a tko or a doctor can like seemed the case here, i dont think they count the head shots they just watch the action, and follow their instinct if they are counting or watching that sort of thing....but i have been following boxing closely for forty years and i can tell you by the reaction of the fighter if he is hurt or not, in this case gunn was far from being hurt, he was getting smacked around but not in a dangerous way, sorry
Ref and doctor are in there are likely looking for uneven dialation of the pupils and general coherance. If the fight was at any point close, okay, maybe let it go, but to risk a guys health in what turns out to be a mismatch. And maybe 5,000 screaming pollocks influenced that decision too.
never heard of a dilation argument/to be fair i didnt c the first couple rounds perhaps it was lopsided as 4th-, i'm just talking from a boxing perspective, the ref or doctor have no business stopping a fight unless the guy is visibly hurt -not pupil dilation, but bleeding profusely or looking groggy or off balance--clearly the guy was okay gesturing at every punch and quick to run to his corner with all alertness...the corner can throw in the towel, otherwise inproper stoppage. period.
They don't necessarily have punch stats on hand, but they are aware, by the nature of their experience, to stop a fight. A judge can't stop a fight, but he can suggest it. Ref or doctor makes the call.

12 amatuer fights and been training for 17 years. This guy was never in the fight and was getting clobbered. It was a judgement call by ref and doctor and they had plenty of reason to make the call. Hurt and unable to defend himself, getting smoked at will; not one time ever mounting a worthy combo or punch.

2:15 zebrał Tomek kontrującego świstaka. Gunn wykonał tą samą akcję trzy razy pod rząd i za trzecim razem z powodzeniem. Widać ze Tomek jest świetnie wyszkolony, ale wspomniana akcja obrazuje że jest jeszcze trochę elementów do poprawy. jakby Tomek miał załóżmy szczękę jak Haye to mógłby wiele razy zaliczyć knockdown w karierze. Szacunek dla Gunna. Wiadomo że Adamek go zmiażdżył, ale Gunn twardo szedł do przodu, na pewno nie ma czego się wstydzić. Nie dał dupy, a że różnica klas kolosalna to wiadomo. Nie miał szans z kimś takim jak Adamek.
Tomek jest niedoceniany, jest w stanie walczyć z każdym, szkoda że kasa i układy w boksie mu to uniemożliwiają. No ale poczekajmy, po ośmieszeniu Adrzejka być może czeka go starcie z Hopkinsem.

Ref should've let this fight go on into the next round. This was a bogus stoppage, wherein the beginning of the following round just required a keen eye in order to see how badly Gunn still was. Although buzzed, Gunn had no problem getting to his corner after the bell rang to end the previous round, so he should have been allowed to try a little more in the next round at least.
I mean, a warning that the fight could potentially have been stopped would've worked better.

no it doesnt work like that....the ref could stop it for a tko or a doctor can like seemed the case here, i dont think they count the head shots they just watch the action, and follow their instinct if they are counting or watching that sort of thing....but i have been following boxing closely for forty years and i can tell you by the reaction of the fighter if he is hurt or not, in this case gunn was far from being hurt, he was getting smacked around but not in a dangerous way, sorry

Ref and doctor are in there are likely looking for uneven dialation of the pupils and general coherance. If the fight was at any point close, okay, maybe let it go, but to risk a guys health in what turns out to be a mismatch. And maybe 5,000 screaming pollocks influenced that decision too.

never heard of a dilation argument/to be fair i didnt c the first couple rounds perhaps it was lopsided as 4th-, i'm just talking from a boxing perspective, the ref or doctor have no business stopping a fight unless the guy is visibly hurt -not pupil dilation, but bleeding profusely or looking groggy or off balance--clearly the guy was okay gesturing at every punch and quick to run to his corner with all alertness...the corner can throw in the towel, otherwise inproper stoppage. period.

They don't necessarily have punch stats on hand, but they are aware, by the nature of their experience, to stop a fight. A judge can't stop a fight, but he can suggest it. Ref or doctor makes the call.

i totally agree with you after watching only this fourth round, sure adamek looked superior but there was no need to stop the fight....look at the great arturo gattin in 97 when they ALMOST stopped his fight against ruelas, then when they let it continue, gatti KOd ruelas in round five, in boxing you never know what may happen, so long as they are able to continue.....many other examples in boxing, and here sure if adamek continues he may stop him but let the fighters decide the outcome not a dr

its good that judge stopped the fight.. if the next round would start it would be a hard KO for gunn and probably he could get serious injury.. it was only trainning for Adamek.. gratulations :D!

looks like the doctor stopped it and the ref called it but as to why I HAVE NO CLUE, the man was NOT hurt, sure he was getting beat, but thats the name of the game, if the bell rings and the guy runs over to his corner in good condition without a trace of stumble or dizziness then he is fine to continue, i did not see a cut and could not understand what the announcers said but that is crazy!

Gunn had no answer, was never in the fight and was looking unable to defend himself. He escapes healthy. His proverbial puncher's chance to win was unlikely versus the cost of his health.

dont know how old you are/how long you have been following boxing, but i didnt see the man hurt at all, besides his pride..i must admit to only watching part of rnd 3 +all of four...did u see cotto winning with the cut he had over his eye? did u ever get to see arturo gatti fight? A puncher's chance is what you give the guy, watch it closely, as a good ref should and if he gets hit wtih unanswered blows in the next round you jump in, but not this way, politically correct maybe yet v. premature!

12 amatuer fights and been training for 17 years. This guy was never in the fight and was getting clobbered. It was a judgement call by ref and doctor and they had plenty of reason to make the call. Hurt and unable to defend himself, getting smoked at will; not one time ever mounting a worthy combo or punch.

it's obviously that Adamek didn't want to finish this fight to quickly.. he was playing with Gunn and Gunn could take his money and everybody's happy. Gunn sucks and I don't see the purpose to watch the fight like this.

bobby gunn sucks, this was a mismatch... I guess the cruiserweights don't have many other decent fighters to take a break from other then gunn... This guy was nothing but a punching bag
