Epcot: Empty Park

world showcase doesn't open till 11. the rest of the park opens at 9. thats why there was no one in that section yet.

When I went about a month ago,it was empty for about 20 minutes in the same area your where,and then when we went to the future area it was packed

He he..cool...like a scene from the movie '28 Days Later' - - - - i have experienced this myself staying in the Beach Club and being one of the very first into Epcot from the walk. I kind of liked it.

They're either all on Soarin' or on Test Track. possibly Spaship Earth, but more likely Soarin' or test Track.

im pretty sure i did this same thing, so if u stay at a beach club hotel then u can get into epcot in the morning from the walkway even tho world showcase doesnt open till 11 so none of the shops are open etc, i cant remember if u can get all the way in or if there is a rope or something but i remember doing this - then i went to the boardwalk arcade but that wasnt open till 11 either! i was pissed . lol.

It is not uncommon for the park to be empty like this just after they open (especially on extra magic hours) or before they close - or on a rainy day.

It's not hard to view that area in peace. Just go to WorldShowcase before 11 when they open,(Future World opens between 9 and 10) or go to EPCOT for early morning magic hours and head back there, it's really quiet and quite enjoyable. You can also arrive back there through the Yacht and Beach Club entrance. You'll have a great view of everything without all the people blocking the scenery. You can get lots of great pics then too.

We discovered that entrance when we stayed at the Yacht Club. Very convenient.

I had the same experience last month at Fiesta Texas....nearly nobody was at the park because it was raining all day. At least i got to ride the Superman 3 times that morning.

This was many years ago in low-season. It was around 10-11am. Oddly, I didn't even see cast members opening stores either.
