Airelon,  While offering us a lesson that frankly we are all pretty well aware of, you miss the wider point. Cranes is not a proper name in the traditional sense. If they chose to identify themselves with a single word, make a statement of place or sense of existence i. e. environment, or whatever the case may be, who are you or anyone else to say they can't?

Rather more under-noticed than underrated. Have rarely ever seen a bad review or heard less than glowing comments on their work, from those who came to know of them. Sadly they did seem to fly under the radar of a lot of folks, sad to say.

Even though hardly anyone knows of this band, they do have this special appeal to them. Cranes are listened to best at 2 AM with all of lights off with headphones. Nice and dark and claustrophobic.
