I don't know. This album may not be a strong as King for a Day or Angeldust, but damn, it was still better than a lot of other shit at the time. Ashes to Ashes, Stripsearch, and Last Cup of Sorrow were all strong songs.

Most of the songs on Album Of The Year sound like they were written on the spot. It's just a weak album by their standards IMO. The innovation, and sense of craft, that was evident on all their previous albums was practically non-existent, with the exception of 'Stripsearch' of course, which is an excellent song.
