Of course all of my closest friends know my love for Olivia Newton John...I remember hearing songs like Let Me Be There, I Honestly Love You, Have You Never Been Mellow and of course Please Mr Please. When she first started making a name on the airwaves back in the 70's, all she was piping out was country music... I'm always surprised at how many people tend to forget that period in her life and all that she contributed to country music in her early years...
She was and is a really grounded woman.Thia music is Totally out of my style , but i saw a movie with Johm Travolta and Kathy Bates yesterday--It was a rip on the Clinton Presidential campaign.Hehehe,Bates is singing this song on her trucks radio.And i have to admit Olivia has a beatifull voice , and i am happy for her on surviving cancer.

It was #15 for that week but not sure how far up it climbed(i think it may have at least been top 10) If anyone has the knoweldge i'd like to know. Even better was the fact that Olivia Newton's other hit in '75("Have You Never Been Mellow" was no, 1 in May of '75, knocking the Doobie Brothers "Black Water" out of it's top spot!
