I was thinking about how the voting would work in reality as the artist with the most friends rather than the best entry would win. . . This sounds like a fair solution.

@probe2records our primary goal with the contest is the furthering of artists on a quality/response basis.

now the voting method we are firing up for May 1 will be the first of it's kind, and will ELIMINATE the "most friends" effect. the webmaster is finishing it now, and it should be all set in a few days.

Thats great news . . . I look forward to this . .The only way I can think of is to have the entries judged by a panel with no external voting at all. . after all . . The majority of the people that listen to my remix are friends I have told about it and I'm hoping most of them will vote for mine :-) Until there's enough unbiased web traffic listening to these entries, an external vote will always be slanted.

@AKAsheldon i think we are going to do a normal voting like usual, but since it is adellana's track, i am going to respectfully be running things with her oversight and getting her opinions always. i don't see her removing any from a list of winners, but if there is one she likes that may not get "the votes" i will be adding it.

artist respect, involvement, and representation is the primary thing for us.
