I wonder if you have heard about a city called Khojali, an Azeri town that were wiped out by Armenian troops in one night killing every single soul they could lay their hands on. My problem is not with the non-Azeri people of Iran with whom we have so much cultural affinity, share so many traditions. Our anger is directed towards the policy of Iranian government that keeps looking down on Azeris and continually pursues anti-Azerbaijan policies.

Shangool, I am not sure about what you you mean when you say borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia should be redrawn. You are probably right since most of Armenians in modern-day Armenia and Karabagh are new-comers to Caucasus from Iran and other sorrounding countries over the recent history. The very capital of Armenia had majority Azeri population until the begining of 20th century. They were settled in our lands by Russian Empire to have an easier control over us.

persians are not racists. 2500 years ago cyrus the great united all iranians under one government. we do not want to seperate. many kings we had who were from azarbaijan. safavids, ghajars, saljooghs. todays mullas regime are a mixture of persians, azaries and other iranians. if you don't like the regime, don't blame the persians; blame all iranians.

Azeris have always held high and important positions in economic and political sectors throughout all of Iran's history. Iran is not Iran without Azerbaijan. But at the same time, if it wasn't for the central Persian culture, all minorities would be fighting and killing each other like Afghans. Don't ever forget that. Persian culture will always reign over all of Iran and Iran will not give up an inch of land to one one.

We have north Azerbaijani brothers and sisters who will protect Azerbaijani turk language and identity thanks to their independents, and they have adopted to write Azeri turk with Latin alpha bet, which is more practical than Arabic alpha bet.
