I work for Fiat Australia and I can tell you that the California costs Ferrari US$22,000 to build (that includes labor, raw materials, third party manufacturers). Ferrari makes beautiful cars, but Ferrari also rips off buyers.

@SuperApparition of course they do. BUT on the other hand they are making cars that match or beat a lot of its competitors for a shomewhat similar price. Its also supply and demand. A pair of nikes cost pennies to make, but are sold for $100. Its not unique to ferrari
@SuperApparition Don't forget they are not mass produced they are built in limited numbers and so they have to charge more to recover the huge development costs and to make a profit.
Can you switch from auto to manual while driving? and.. I get the concept of the paddle shifting but.. if you're in manual and if you have stop instantly does it down shift itself? Does it go dead? or.. what?
Very nice...

Enzo Ferrari would not give a damn about this car, as long as it paid towards the
racing programe he would be very happy, as everybody knows the road cars
only came to exist to fund the racing team..
Started his career at Alfa Romeo in the 1930's as a driver then manager of the
racing scuderia, started scuderia Ferrari after the war..

@SuperApparition Its because Ferrari don't wanna sell their cars to any1. Only "rich" people can drive it. ;)))
