    Rest in peace.

  • Atlas, your one of the seeds that have destroy this country. STUPID remarks

  • Ironically, the only fighting Ronald Reagan did during all of World War II was fighting his way to the bar during happy hour at the Hollywood Brown Derby.

  • Yeap right! the Eastern Front was just a minor skirmish for the Axis. No major resource of the powerfull german army was lost there. Gime me a break! We as westerners are all glad the Eastern Front did exist in the other case we would all be speaking german by now. My complain was on how marketing invent o re-write history. Because of the Cold War you might still think the Soviets are devils, but they did the major struggle since 1942. D-Day was in 1944, that is a fact.

  • this is a complete waist...

Sorry but the true honor is for The Soviets who really won the war with a deep commitment by losing 10.000.00 millions military personal compared to 800.000 between UK and USA.

However, all Westerners remember D-Day as the decisive point. Very ironic, indeed.

  • Just because the soviets have no strategy whatsoever and lost a lot of men does not mean that they turned the tide of the war. If it werent for such a high population, Russian people would not even EXIST today.

  • Yet, Americans live and bask in Freedom and Liberty. Good Soviets do not.

You do not fool anyone my good communist friend. 1 free man is better than 10 in bondage. Gen. Patton would have overtaken your beloved Stalin if given the chance. He did not have the chance. However, RWR finished the job that Patton set out to accomplish.

  • Not need to be an ass if you cannot interpret history is your problem or you education level. I am not communist, which WAS a dictatorship and by the way it does not exist anymore, i wonder if you know that.

Yes Americans live and bask in Freedom and Liberty...haha...I love your empty rhetoric...how incredible blind you are my friend! your country is/was the biggest friend of most dictatorships in the XX Century. Does Saddam Hussein, Saudi Arabia, Latin America military ring you a bell?

  • Patton, with the Sherman Tank! the best tank in the WWII.

  • and if you think that the red army could have beaten the nazi's without the second front opening on the west you are quite mistaken.

  • thelawguy666, that is not the point. Of course, it was important to have a second front to speed things up. The problem is HOW people re-write history as if D-Day is the ONLY things that matters in the WWII. I am a Westerner and i live in Europe and i NEVER heard anything positive from the Western Media regarding the Soviets contribution in the WWII. How come? Do you think that is fair?

  • uzapuca, yopu make a very valid observation. of course the soviet contribution was instrumental to the allied victory. without their contribution history would have been very different indeed. i suspect that the lack of acknowledgement of the soviet contribution is in no small part a by-product of the cold war. it is indeed unfair to not give the red army its due credit for unimaginable sacrifice.

  • Fair point a by-product of the Cold War.

Actually some researchers are saying now that the real Cold War ended when Russian elected a new president who is not from the Intelligence Community.

  • i am familiar with this POV. a prof i had (who was an intelligence officer w/ CIA) insisted that the dimunition of the purity of the communist ideology through "westernization" was what ended the cold war. He actually spent quite a bit of time lecturing on the Soviet contributions to WWII in class. His admiration for the old empire sometimes had him sounding like an Apparatchik:)

  • I know what you mean. I used to have a prof. in the States who taught French and Russian Revolution, and was quite a character. Not all things the Russian did was bad. Ignorance is the mother of conflicts. I live in Europe with a good Public Health system and Welfare state a couple of ideas taken by the Socialists . I am sure is easy to start a business or make money faster in the US, but on the other hand living in a society who take care of its citizens is a pretty good feeling.

  • all good points. thanks for the chat- take care
