by far my favorite song by The Wedding Present. Great rendition, great voice. Now you just need to figure a way to build up increasingly mindnumbing levels of distortion on that acoustic (if I believed in emoticons, I'd put one here). Cheers!
@Salsashark516 Thanks for your comment - I did wonder about how to build such a crescendo...But alas with only a webcam an an acoustic all was lost. Cheers!
Yes, it's a cracker of an album. The last Cinerama album and you can see why they went back to being TWP! Corduroy you say? On an acoustic guitar...Hmmm...Challenging to say the least! Cheers!
Hi! Long time no type! I think it's a matter of me sorting out my web-cam. Suffered from bad distortion early on but have got to grips with it now - plus I have two guitars... If you listen to "Suck" by The Wedding Present, you may understand this performance more! I am now playing bass in The Candy Twins so hope to see you soon at a gig. We are playing this Thursday at our most high profile gig yet in london and we've never been so rehearsed and ready, so I have a good feeling about this one.
Hi Quimpons.....Cheers again for your comment, and yes, it is a very big song. I'm rather pleased with this as I really didn't think a song this big would work at all and I think this kind of has. Although when I hear it, all the other instruments are playing in my head...Cheer again!
No electric guitars. No distortion pedals. No Pounding Bass. No mighty drums. No Black And Decker, drilling through a concrete wall in the background....Just heart-wrenching songwriting at it's very best...
well bugger me! that's a lot more straightforward to play than I thought it was. Good work

Glad you're doing some Seamonsters stuff! Nice work...
Such a simple song when you break it down but it really punches above its weight.
