I know this is very old post but im sooo close to by DRZ 400 sm 2008 and i wanted to ask the owner of this video, namphu, about the color of the rims and the paint job. Is that custom painted or u when u buy blue drz the color is like that! Hope i get a respond soon :))))
I m the owner of the bike...IS not a custom paint and rims are original...but this is a SPECIAL version sold only in Japan, so if u buy the "normal" blue u won't get the rims, and the graphics are not like mine...
Namphu, I like your mirrors and especially your taillight, can you tell me were I can find them??? Looking forward to hear from you. Thnx in advance..
sure, it's only a "lisense" plate as u wrote...but why should i let everyone know who I am and where I live? Everyone can see me wearing only shorts on a beach but this doesn't mean that I have to put on internet videos of me "showing off"...This is youtube asshole, is freedom!
Anyway glad to have a comment...and please go write to ALL the youtubers that doesn't show their plates that they are wrong...I m sure u ll get a LOT of good feedbacks...
About the restrictions, I live in Japan and I m 26 so no limits...But it was the same in Italy (my hometown) as you in UK, till the age of 21 u can ride bikes that has max 25Kw (34HP) so I now how u feel!!
But a lot of people has the limited bike only virtually...(just get it on the bike docs) but actually full power...
I already check out ur videos and the x4...for sure that's a BIG bike!! :D Enjoy the light and funny supermoto...and use that one for nice comfortable travelling! I ve been on a modified V-MAX and the torque was quiet impressive.
I moved to Japan to live with my wife...she is jap, so seeing that I like this country as weel the best choice was for me to come and stay here!
Cheers thats so true when i go out on my big bike now its like riding a tank . and funny enough i feel safer on the DRZ cos its so controlable and a giggle i thought you had to have 120 bhp to have fun .. i was wrong supermoto rule yeee haaa
hiya, can anyone tell me how the drz 400 handles, can you get your knee down etc?> n what are the top speeds, downhill and flat? preferably from someone who owns one and if possible, how they compare to the ccm 404 thanks
the drz is a alot of fun and very easy to corner and throw around. i have never got my knee down but i'm sure that with some good tires you would have not too much problem. With after market sprockets i managed to get my 2004 drz-400s up to 146km uphill on the highway. and with stock sprockets up to about 130 on flat, but it still had a few more kms. overall i would say the bike is slightly underpowered compared to similar cc bikes but it's absolutely indestructible and a blast to ride.
thanks for your help, much appreciated, i might go for the bigger sprockets on front, smaller on back cos the acceleration seems good enough anyway lol
I actually went back to stock sprockets, and the bike was alot better off the line. With that said if you plan on riding alot on the highway you really need the aftermarket sprockets or you'll be topped out most of the way.
By the way I'm getting a set of supermoto rims and tires tomorrow, haha, cant wait.
lol nice, i might be getting drz 400 e in the next few weeks, wiv custom headlights and fmf pip, for 1900 pounds, can't wait, just need to sell my xt 125 now! lol
Actually i just realized...u mean a "Yankee" gang!?!? Like the one going around making noise reving up the bike!! No no, i m ALONE...do u have a motorbike?
It's a DR-Z not a DR then...Factory supermoto. I m setting it up surely for town kaos, but also ready for the pro tar... ;D
How much does it cost? not much compared to the pro ones (racing 450cc). I don't know about ur country but in europe u can get one for around 4.500 euros.
Dear boomerhgt, welcome to the world of fun of riding supermotos!!! U won't be missing too much the heavy superbike (x4?)!!! I don't miss my CBR600...and i feel much more safer on this cause i can't go THAT fast...but still a blast of fun!
