Absolutely unbelievable movie and Ryan Reynolds was awesome. I've always been a super fan of Spiderman and X-Men and never really knew much about the Green Lantern. I will definitely pay to see it again and probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. Fu*kin* Awesome!

@danhair Here's the thing, I'm a Marvel guy, but I want this to do well, especially us comic fans we need these to do well so they can keep cranking them out. But too many parts look too much like CGI, and not good CGI. I will see it though, unless it does really horrible on Rotten Tomatoes. Thor was an origin story, of course it could have done better, but that was a movie that could have been a royal fuck up with the space-fantasy elements, but to me they knocked it out of the park...

That Sinestro fellow seems like a very trustworthy person and a selfless leader. He reminds me of that highly decorated Jedi war hero Anakin Skywalker. I bet he will have a long and successful career as a Green Lantern, vanquishing evil across the universe.

Why the hell didn't they just use this trailer in the 1st place it looks exactly like what Green Lantern is expected to be. That other trailer was ok at best but they just reeled in allot more fans with this. This trailer actually looks better than both and Capt'N America, X-Men & Thor, 3 movies that I'm also looking forward too.
Quit basing GL off the Justice League cartoon. That show wasn't 100% accurate, they put the black guy so black people wouldn't get butt hurt like they always do when they don't see a black guy in a movie. I'm almost positive they won't release this in theatres, it's too long to be a trailer. Heck, three minutes is too long sometimes. Also, the special effects here and in the trailer differ greatly when you look at them. Sure, the mask is still a bit crappy, but overall they're much better. They're still working on it now, I'm pretty sure.

@IdealisticPessimism I think this monster is supposed to be Parallax. it sounds weird, but if that movie tries to establish a storyline independent from the comics, I can actually imagine them to work with the movie like that: This movie introduces us to GL, with Hector Hammond and Parallax -here now becoming some sort of fiendish uncontrollable and at first mindless acting enemy- as enemies while Sinestro is an ally and in the next movie he turns on the Corps and allies with Parallax.
@IdealisticPessimism It's a trilogy. This is the first one which sets them all up. Parallox(the giant cloud) was the toughest villain Hal Jordan ever faced in the comics, he is the living incarnation of fear. And for a while corrupted and took over Hal Jordan. In this movie he will be used as the villain but also is going to be a part of setting up sinestro to become the villain in one of the next 2 films.
God you people griping about how green lantern is white and not black. Do some freaking research. John Stewart was the third green lantern from earth. There are 6 earth green lanterns. Alan scott is the green lantern from world war II era. His ring is based on magic. He was the first GL, Hal came next and was the first member of the Corp, then Guy Gardner, THEN John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, and then finally Jade Scott, Alan scott's daughter. Kyle, Guy, John, and Clark Kent will have cameo's
@Wolfknight16 I will double check, but I'm pretty sure it was guy that replaced Jordan considering that the ring had three choices to choose from in the first place, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, and Clark Kent. The ring went to Hal because he was closer and if Clark received it he would be way to over powered. They made Guy the replacement lantern.

Its a story that talks about how the Oan's are showing Hal the possiblity of someone else being chosen has green lantern. I have the comic that talks about that story. Hal was chosen first because he was closer. John was chosen has his replacement and in some case his partner. Guy was chosen third and Kyle was the last one.

@superbat45 True! Marvel does have its moments but DC storylines can incompass the whole DC universe. In Green Lantern's case, we had the Sinestro wars, blackest night and now Brightest Day. Those events included everyone in DC not just the Green Lantern Corps. It would be soooo badass if they made movies based on those arcs or game.

@MrMartinbjork I read in an article a month or so ago. However with all of the confusion of reboots I doubt they will still have a clark kent cameo. It was suppose to be some scene where reporters are trying to interview green lantern and clark kent is there representing the daily planet.

@I3M4N162 There have been 6 Earth based green lanterns. Alan Scott was the first whose ring is powered by the star heart which is magical in nature and not really connected to the GL Corps. Hal Jordan was the second and first earth member of the Corp, Then Guy Gardner his substitute, Then John Stewart, then Kyle Rayner who became the last GL after Hal went mad and destroyed the entire corp. He rebuilt the corp, and then Jade Scott, Alan's daughter. All are current members of the GL corp.

@IdealisticPessimism I think this monster is supposed to be Parallax. it sounds weird, but if that movie tries to establish a storyline independent from the comics, I can actually imagine them to work with the movie like that: This movie introduces us to GL, with Hector Hammond and Parallax -here now becoming some sort of fiendish uncontrollable and at first mindless acting enemy- as enemies while Sinestro is an ally and in the next movie he turns on the Corps and allies with Parallax.

@IdealisticPessimism It's a trilogy. This is the first one which sets them all up. Parallox(the giant cloud) was the toughest villain Hal Jordan ever faced in the comics, he is the living incarnation of fear. And for a while corrupted and took over Hal Jordan. In this movie he will be used as the villain but also is going to be a part of setting up sinestro to become the villain in one of the next 2 films.

God you people griping about how green lantern is white and not black. Do some freaking research. John Stewart was the third green lantern from earth. There are 6 earth green lanterns. Alan scott is the green lantern from world war II era. His ring is based on magic. He was the first GL, Hal came next and was the first member of the Corp, then Guy Gardner, THEN John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, and then finally Jade Scott, Alan scott's daughter. Kyle, Guy, John, and Clark Kent will have cameo's

@Wolfknight16 I will double check, but I'm pretty sure it was guy that replaced Jordan considering that the ring had three choices to choose from in the first place, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, and Clark Kent. The ring went to Hal because he was closer and if Clark received it he would be way to over powered. They made Guy the replacement lantern.

@superbat45 No, what your talking about was a storyline that talked about how Guy could have been chosen over Hal. Its a story that talks about how the Oan's are showing Hal the possiblity of someone else being chosen has green lantern. I have the comic that talks about that story. Hal was chosen first because he was closer. John was chosen has his replacement and in some case his partner. Guy was chosen third and Kyle was the last one.

@superbat45 I totally agree and the fact that anyone bitches about him not being black just shows that they don't know shit about Green Lantern and are saying that because they watched JL or JLU only. I mean Hal has always been big as Green Lantern even most of the enemies of GL were Hal's not the others to begin with. The sad thing is that the movie poster has to list his name on it so that the people know who it is.

@Wolfknight16 yeah I think that's why in general there seem to be more casual marvel readers. The average person doesn't know anything about DC. Don't get me wrong I love marvel, especially classic marvel, but DC is just more interesting. The scale of events that take place are in just a different league then Marvel's. I hope these DC movies coming out will get people more interested in DC.

@superbat45 True! Marvel does have its moments but DC storylines can incompass the whole DC universe. In Green Lantern's case, we had the Sinestro wars, blackest night and now Brightest Day. Those events included everyone in DC not just the Green Lantern Corps. It would be soooo badass if they made movies based on those arcs or game.

@MrMartinbjork I read in an article a month or so ago. However with all of the confusion of reboots I doubt they will still have a clark kent cameo. It was suppose to be some scene where reporters are trying to interview green lantern and clark kent is there representing the daily planet.

@I3M4N162 There have been 6 Earth based green lanterns. Alan Scott was the first whose ring is powered by the star heart which is magical in nature and not really connected to the GL Corps. Hal Jordan was the second and first earth member of the Corp, Then Guy Gardner his substitute, Then John Stewart, then Kyle Rayner who became the last GL after Hal went mad and destroyed the entire corp. He rebuilt the corp, and then Jade Scott, Alan's daughter. All are current members of the GL corp.

@waynestateman Because most networks won't put out a show with an all white cast because they don''t want to seem racist, so when they made the Justice League TV show they needed a black superhero which is why they used the Black Green Lantern AKA Jon Stewart. Hal Jordan was the original Green Lantern. Jon Stewart made his first appearance 32 years after Hal Jordan's. And according to the comic books Hal Jordan is still the pimary protector of this sector, Jon Stewart is his backup.
