Apart from the knife in the arm, you don't see any blood or cuts in the last fight scene yet it still hits me as a badass scene. Good job, Akira.
I watched this film last Thursday Twice and I enjoyed Toshiro Mifune Immensley...He steals the show....

Holy Shit, that was awesome! I'm usually not a fan of anachronistic soundtracks to films, but that was great. Sort of shows how Mifune's character was a timeless rebel. A true badass in any age.
