i was coming from cochin to jfk and ther was a stop in kuwait
from cochin to kuwait it was an a310 just like this and as we were leveling out we went strait into some clouds and the plane just dropped for about 5 seconds
that was the scariest day of my life and every body was screaming so like
I always find it funny how when flying clouds aren't as soft as they look. Like one flight from MSP to JFK I remember looking out the window and kinda tensing up every time I saw a cloud go by cause I knew the plane was going to bounce. They look so soft but when u fly through them they aren't soft at all!!
Wow! That had to have been interesting taking off in that storm. I couldn't tell how hard the rain was falling though. How bumpy was it? It's hard to get the feel for turbulence while watching a video here on youtube. Nevertheless, neat video once again!
@scienceguy474 you'd be surprised how steep planes can go during take off. In Florence airport for example, because the run way is so small, they can't use too much fuel on take off so it has to do a very steep incline and land at another airport nearby (I think Genoa) to refuel.
@ blablabla6994 I had a few hours after work one day to fulfill some boredom, so I was searching various airplane pictures sites to see where this Airbus had visited. I noticed it was registered to Lufthansa at one point, so I Googled the old registration tag and immediately started seeing articles about the hijacking. Very interesting and something I was not expecting.
Quick little bit of history regarding this very aircraft. Once owned by Lufthansa and registered as D-AIDM, it was involved in a hijacking incident in 1993.
February 11, 1993: Lufthansa Flight 592 scheduled service from Frankfurt to Cairo and Addis Ababa, was hijacked at gunpoint by Nebiu Demeke, an Ethiopian man. The A310 initially flew to Hannover for fuel before flying to New York's JFK where the hijacker surrendered after brief negotiations. No passengers or crew were injured or killed.
That actualy loked nice and smooth. When i went on a ryanair from manchester to dublin the weather was quite bad. It was gale force winds so when we got in the air everyone was screaming cos it kept feeling like we were plummiting out of the sky lol. But once we were above the clouds it was nice and smooth. Until we got below them again lol
ryan air operate a brand new fleet of 737's ??? The average age of their fleet is 2.8 years old british airways is 11.4 years old, and in 24 years have never had a fatal incident or even serious injury, they are a very safe airline with an excelent young fleet????
Ryanair's planes are made of exactly the same material as any other airline so shut the fuck up! They're not the greatest airline granted but they're good for business people who need to fly arround europe alot cheaply
fly around cheaply to land in the middle of nowhere.... it's a rip off to call an airport frankfurt when it's 80 miles away.... public taking transport to and from the airport in to account + plus extra for luggage plus extra for whatever, ryanair turns out very often not being the cheapest
Would have liked to have seen more of that! First flight on TS was LGW-YYZ on an A310-300, we had emergency landing back at LGW a few mins after takeoff, somewhat unnerving.
Fixed broken part, off again, nice flight across the Atlantic, came into YYZ and there were some big thunderclouds in the area, and so we had the most fantastic arrival, almost certainly hand-flown through clear skies in between these huge anvil clouds all around us. Amazing! Thank you TS.
juuls26 is right but some countries you still can if your lucky. I know all in North America you cannot unless you have a reason to be up there. I have had friends flying around South America (Brazil) pop up in the cockpit during flight... Other than that id say if you really wanna be up there work for the airline as a pilot (or be a federal marshal haha)
Not anymore unless you are flight deck crew. I was lucky enough back in the 90's to sit in the jumpseat on a tristar landing in Heraklion, on Crete at night. Great experience & great aircraft.
It's always a bit annoying when people are looking for the Extreme in Youtube. If someone mentions there was light to moderate turbulance, well, let's just say it's a whole 'nother world being in the video compared to just watching it. Fact is, there probably was some light/moderate turbulance.
True... I always record my TO and landings. Even if you use it in the cockpit it won't change anything. Trust me I recorded a landing from the cockpit and the pilots never told me I could use my camera. If it was they would of told me.
Dude, give me a break. I record, often, aircraft landings and take-offs. Rarely do flight attendants care as they walk by while i'm filming if you do decide to record. Maybe only the uptight ones or the new crewmembers.
So how do you know what causes interference to the flight instruments and what doesn't? Have you personally had each and every mobile/camcorder tested? It's incredibly irresponsible of whoever filmed this. Just as the aircraft lifts off into cloud and goes IMC the handling pilots instrumentation goes blurry all for the sake of some ultra boring video on youtube. And by the way it does happen I've seen it.
How many take-off videos do you see circulating around YouTube? Have one of them ever resulted in a crash? When's the last time you heard of a plane being brought down because of a passenger filming on board?
And please, tell us where you've witnessed the instruments go blank/blurry. My camera has no wireless components and does NOT transmit any signals.
Also, there are no laws stipulating that I must turn my camera off. Courtesy is not a law.
@Ovechkin81 amen to that. I hate it when people comment on take-off vids "oh ur not supposed to use ur camera blah blah" like srsly do u rly think that a camera can bring down a plane.
get a life u sad cunt and get your facts right first. there is no evidence to show that it does cause crashes but if you look at how many videos there are of planes landing and taking off none of them crash. i understand the precaution but it is a load of crap. cam corders and other filming equiptment do not let off signals.
