This is a good idea. I offer one improvement, just go to the store find the magazines that you like and take the article out of the magazine, no need to spend precious time buying magazines. On a more serious note, I like this, there is a little bit of overhead, but in the long run it will make life easier, after-all everyone knows what they want to read anyway, no reason to take out a magazine an search for the article that you really want when you can have it conveniently out of the magazine.
It seems some people have completely missed the point of this. If you buy 4 - 5 magazines, would you rather carry them around everywhere you go throughout the day or simply cut out the articles you like from ALL of them. The idea is convenient in the way that it cuts down having to carry a completely separate bag devoted to holding magazines. If you cant take anything positive from a video posted by someone who is simply trying to make your life simpler, then just go watch something else.
Why so much negativity? Thanks to this technique I'm carrying only the articles i want to read with me and when I have a moment, I read them and then throw away. This way I can read lots of magazines while I wait in a line somewhere, wait for the doctor or whatever.
Cutting the magazine takes just 10-15 minutes and later I can devote my time to actually reading what I want.
You're throwing the magazines away anyway so why not cut the good stuff out and read it when on the go?
Im sorry, this isnt a 'technique' its common sense. Of course you only read what you want out of a magazine. Im sorry, but this seemed like a pointless, obvious, video.
That is so stupid it's funny. That looks way more time consuming than flicking past articles or adverts that don't interest you. Cutting out pages is hardly an innovative idea either!
Okay, considering your advice I would take twice as much time to manage and cut the managazines, than just carry them with me. I expected something else out of this movie. It says speed-reading ...
Michael, great product and great tips!
I am amazed about the way you simplify things to a very practical and common-sense level.
About the comments above, do the same you do with the useless articles, ignore them :)

Well, if you really want to rip things of the magazine why not do it with the advertisements and keep the organized and good looking folder?! :/

Ithink its good advice. I tralvel on planes alot and the weight of magazines only alws me to take 1 or two on a 6 hour fight.
Cutting out the advertisments really helps with the weight of my handluggage.
