@i2sweeet It is called acrylic gel medium. You can get glossy or mat and both the companies Golden and Liquitex make them! You should be able to find it in any arts and crafts store, but it is cheaper to purchase it online.
My 36 year old daughter is bugging me to make her her babybook. I have all of the pictures in shoeboxes, bags, and plastic boxes. I have watched all of your AB videos and know I am ready to start. This afternoon I am going to "Goodwill" to fine the perfect used, sewn book(s).
@mrafig How great! I hope you will share pictures! :D Thanks for watching and leaving such a nice comment :) AB's are a great way to create unique photo albums.
Have you ever tried using a toothbrush for a splatter effect? It isn't as chunky and drippy, but it's pretty cool for starry sky effects and backgrounds and stuff.
@EvilSeedlet I'll try that! I have done it before, but not on dark backgrounds, where it would show up most, like you suggested :D I use a bottle cap now instead of my finger LOL
Kinda...just a couple of pages. Nothing big. I'm still terrified of messing up! o.0 But I guess that's the point. *More practice I need, better I will get* (bad Yoda impression)
Yeah! Messing up is totally the point! That's the only place and the only way you can discover new ways of doing things, and where better to mess up than in your journal where no one will see! (except US HAHA) I LOVE your art, do post at iATCs if you do some journal stuff!
amazing...inspiring...beautiful!!

@EraserqueenStudio, hello...
could you tell me, what's the ALTERNATiVE for GESSO ??? ---just in case.
I live in asia, and they got confused everytime I said "gesso", maybe in other names to call gesso, but I don't know what is.
:(
please help with the alternative...
thankyou for the vid, loved it much :)

@HEiDYoskar
gesso is a thick primer paint, you can mix your own with fine ready-made plaster and pva glue for flexability, or use ripple (texture) wall paint!
