i have playtv,my ps3 upgraded to a 500GB HDD, far bigger than sky plus, i recieve all channels and can export simply by selecting my recording and clicking move to home screen and moving it to a USB drive. Ignore this video, the software is more functional and far smoother and more intuitive than any other PVR. Plus i got it for just £35 on amazon, my old freeview box is now redundant!

cheap freeview pvr's are 99% of the time a pile of crap - play tv Is better, if you spend £40 getting a 320gb ps3 hdd. The psp fuction would work, if the presenters knew how port forwarding works.

u buy a hard drive from a website or just google (SATA 2.5mm hard drive for ps3) and u shuld be able to buy one and then go on you tube and type (how to change a ps3 harddrive) hope this helped i also upgraded to 320 gb

The reason it didn't work with the remote play feature is because it was through a WiFi hotspot, and their speeds are quite slow at times, it would be a little more of a fair test if it was done through a personal internet connection not a public one (e.g. a friends house)

if anyone wants to know why "play tv" was so disappointing in this video it was because if you look at when this episode was uploaded it was still 2008 and that was when sony were still previewing and testing this software out.

It's needless to say that seeing as we're nearly in 2010 sony has had over a year to perfect this piece of software and i'm sure it will be a great present for christmas.

i love Play TV works really well. I use my PSP to watch TV when im about aswel and that works brilliantly. 9/10 from me. And yes you can use any USB keyboard you want, thats the beauty of Sony you can use anything and not just their own.

I don't want a featureless crappy online play experience, that's why I have a PS3. Sony actually make money by selling PRODUCTS, not by charging for the internet which youre already CHARGED for by your ISP. Ofcourse 70% of online play is on xbox live, because more people have xboxes than PS3s. They didn't REALISE that they were gonna BREAK all the time, and didn't THINK about being charged the difference for nothing. Even the Wii doesn't charge you extra just to play online. Keep up, Microsoft!

Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD and all the PixelJunk games are all far better than Halo, and that's just the PS3 exclusives :/ Jealousy will get you nowhere hrocky! Web on PC is a lot better, if you're alone. but can be pretty annoying if people want to watch someone online, but can't, because applications keep popping up. (MSN/AIM/SKYPE) that's presuming you have friends of course. Halo is far too over hyped, and extremely boring. maybe not for you, but it's my (and many others) Personal Opinions. finally, Great! Microsoft cannot make an external Blue-Ray Drive since SONY more or less owns and has patented Blue-Ray, and SONY have the PS3. Therefore, the likeliness of Microsoft's XBox 360 getting Blue-Ray maybe slim, even though it's doing it through samsung and toshiba, everything may have to go through SONY, and SONy allowing it is slim, since a company giving their rival company an advantage doesn't really make any sense, especially in the gaming industry.

Firstly, the likeliness of that happening now, AS IF.

Secondly, if MS had any brains, they would have kept HD-DVD, ONLY for games, due to its capacity, which would have helped developers create a better game, seeing how many 360 owners there.

Thirdly, there's no point now anyway, 360 and Wii may have had and may still in the near future, be beating the PS3, but in the long run, PS3 will win, since it is the most powerful of the 3 consoles, and developers eventually go to the more powerful one.

OK, then take this into account, even though Ms is a very rich company, your dealing with SONY, and you don't mess with SONY when it comes to hardware, and they know their thing. In fact, I'd say SONY is the 2nd most powerful and best technology company, (Apple being first).

Put it this way, if you know the story of the hare and rabbit, the hare being 360 and Wii, the hare runs, then falls asleep, while the turtle, is the PS3, and in the ned, it crosses the line. PS3 will win in the long run.

well, if you define games as fun, then install windows on it, and then you can use sli or crossfire for windows only. the main reason i said to get the mac and install windows on it, is because the mac hardware is so much better than pc hardware, and, it is a million times more reliable than windows, that's more or less a guarantee.
