@TheDanishVanHouten Id say this is one of the hardest turn based RPGS I ever playd and I feel so hollow that I didnt get to fight Lucifer...the best medic in the game is somewhere in that creepy Labrinth its expensive but u gotta buy him Mana walk is KING! you could play Digital Devil its moar traditional the skill allocation is LOADS better...

All are excellent PS2 games in the series, though none of them are connected storywise (untrue, according to the ending of Digital Devil Saga Part 2, but that's from some multiversal thing.)

Oh man... I JUST beat this one with Me at lvl 92, Dante (yes, I did) 91, Queen Mab lvl 79, and Atavaka lvl 88; no pierce, no other demons died. I don't need yo fuckin' pierce!

Lucifer has a very high defense, in order to do good damage you have to ignore his defense with the passive skill "Pierce".

Vile Grimekhala has it. Pass the Pierce skill onto other demons (through Mitama) by fusing him away, and you'll have a team that can actually scratch Lucifer.

I think the visual change has to do with atmosphere. You're average SMT game, you're in a post apocalyptic world fighting for survival until you come out on top, but in P3 and P4 you're in the mundane world with exclusive access to the fantastic. You're diving into the world of shadows, demons and death, rather than being submerged in it.

How did you get a black frost with pierce?

Fuse the Pierce-Girimehkala with some demon from the same race so you get an Elemental with the skill. Then fuse this one with another Elemental and don't forget to carry over Pierce again to the Mitama.
