  • nice folder

case makes great knives or at least i know they use to

i haven't purchased one in quite some time

  • I thought I heard Grady in the background.....LOL. Cool cat and a really nice looking knife. Thanks for sharing. Take Care :-))

  • Great knife! I have owned many Case knives including the same one you are showing. I have always gotten great service from them! I have a small case knife that has the same sharp 90 degree edge on the back, and works well too! Thanks for the info, and for the review on a great knife! Be safe......JP.

  • i use my opinel in the same way - in closed position. good vid, thank you for posting!

  • @bushcraftmyway You are welcome, my friend. God bless. John

  • Wonderful review John! I've been curious about these knives and you answered many of my questions. It's great that Case is putting out a very affordable American made simple but effective folder that fits nicely in a Bush crafters kit.

Thanks and take care. : )

  • @saradreaming Thank you. I have always liked Case knives....Fantastic fit and finish.

  • nice video and knife! god bless you.

    greez.

  • Nice knife John.

The knives are kept simple, but really the best.

They do that what we want. "cut and carve"

The knives are useful small and sharp.

The Opinel is also so simple but great.

ok your blade is a little fancier. ;-)

But fortunately ..there's no accounting for taste. :-D

Have a good time my friend.

    Greetings Tito

  • @Naturliebe lol I don't have an Opinel. I would like to get one some day. God bless. John

  • Very nice knife John, many thanks. Paul.

  • @007vauxhall You are welcome Paul, my friend. John

  • "walk & talk" I must admit I never knew those terms :)

That case knife looks good. I never held one but I hear they are great.

For my pocket the equivalent would be the SS Opinels. They throw great sparks off the ferro rods and they are great in food prep. And you are right, if you find a good piece of info it's great to share

  • @SpartanJohns I have never held an Opinel. I hear great things about them. God bless. John

  • Good vid! Check out the Spyderco Pacific Salt. H1 steel, and throws a spark off my light my fire firesteel just fine!

  • @matt4270 I know that is a fine knife! I was trying to dispel the belief that you had to use a high carbon blade. All of my Carbon-bladed knives are covered in oil and grease. I don't have to worry about stainless or eating oil.

  • Nice haircut....Your looking good bro :)....nice knife

  • @bushcraftbartons Thanks, bro.

  • *****/5 for haircut ;o)

It reminds me a lot of the Opinel folding knives from France: simple, useful design and a "winner" indeed.

    Greetings, Tim

  • @steintanz Tim, my friend! You are right. That knife is like an Opinel. Just a good work knife. No frills. That is why the spine had no radius on it. Just an extra step that was unnecessary. Blessings. John

  • Good info there John! My mora 511 stainless throws great spark too! With the Light my Fire 2.0 rod. Nice kitty :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos Thats my set up too Ggreen, works well for me : )

  • @practicalbeing Rite on :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos Excellent! Good choice for food and fire. God bless my friend. John

  • Hi John, nice blade and good uses. Cool with the fire rod. Best wishes, Sepp PS: Funny, all great Bushcrafters have cats, ...now I know what I need ; ))

  • @Waldhandwerk lol I have extras. 4 cats and 1 "deaf" dog God bless you and your family. John

  • Stainless steel for food, carbon steel for most everything else...

Thank you John! Looks like a great knife!

    Géza

  • @MrMycoo You are very welcome. Thank you. God bless. John

  • @stonybrokebushcraf Thanks man. Have a blessed weekend. John
