Great knife! I have owned many Case knives including the same one you are showing. I have always gotten great service from them! I have a small case knife that has the same sharp 90 degree edge on the back, and works well too! Thanks for the info, and for the review on a great knife! Be safe......JP.
Wonderful review John! I've been curious about these knives and you answered many of my questions. It's great that Case is putting out a very affordable American made simple but effective folder that fits nicely in a Bush crafters kit.
"walk & talk" I must admit I never knew those terms :)
That case knife looks good. I never held one but I hear they are great.
For my pocket the equivalent would be the SS Opinels. They throw great sparks off the ferro rods and they are great in food prep. And you are right, if you find a good piece of info it's great to share
@matt4270 I know that is a fine knife! I was trying to dispel the belief that you had to use a high carbon blade. All of my Carbon-bladed knives are covered in oil and grease. I don't have to worry about stainless or eating oil.
@steintanz Tim, my friend! You are right. That knife is like an Opinel. Just a good work knife. No frills. That is why the spine had no radius on it. Just an extra step that was unnecessary. Blessings. John
Hi John, nice blade and good uses. Cool with the fire rod. Best wishes, Sepp PS: Funny, all great Bushcrafters have cats, ...now I know what I need ; ))

Nice knife John.
The knives are kept simple, but really the best.
They do that what we want. "cut and carve"
The knives are useful small and sharp.
The Opinel is also so simple but great.
ok your blade is a little fancier. ;-)
But fortunately ..there's no accounting for taste. :-D
Have a good time my friend.
Greetings Tito

*****/5 for haircut ;o)
It reminds me a lot of the Opinel folding knives from France: simple, useful design and a "winner" indeed.
