I love the tall waterfall and I like how theres a little stream that goes all the way across it and the best part is how you let the stream go straight to the window to see down the channel of the stream, so rad
Hi on the sides where you said you are going to paint it black why don't you just use black shiny tape , it would last well and look very tidy. Just a thought gr8 waterfall though.
damn uuu!!! i was totally happy with all my tanks i have a few rock walls i made but no water walls or anything fancy, after seeing this video i couldn't sleep last night, i stayed up til 3 am drawing out the plans and i went to the store today to get all the materials... so thanks alot :P
OMG I am in awe right now! You've given me a great idea for a waterfall/pond for an adult H gigas. Now to start planning... *rubs hands together and laughs evilly*
anybody intrested in this dude would love this guys account his account name is Rephibiankid and make new videos about every week and hes trying to start a competiton 4 the best vids of there amphibians, reptiles, and insects such as trantulas
I've looked at a lot of pics and vids showing homemade rock water features but yours is the best. Mostly because you got the colors on it right and the size and placement of the "rocks". You out did yourself on this. You should make more and sell them.
great job with your waterfalls. They are hands down the best I've seen on the net. We are building a large setup for a Black & White Tegu. It will be 8 x 4 x 4 with a waterfall and pond at one end. I would have to use cement instead of the Habcrete for cost reasons.
Do you think making this with foam and concrete will hold up to abuse of larger reptiles? If you hit your with a screw driver do you think it would break away?
the work is stellar but I wouldnt buy HabaCrete. thread on dendroboard . com says it all: "... After getting a very rude response from the company ... $10 a pound (I can get a 90lb. bag of plastic cement for $7... which when dry is sweet!) t if you do not mix perfectly, thick enough, or wait forever between coats, it cracks a lot.
...Plastic Cement spend $7 for a 90lb bag, and neutralize with vinegar and water and wait
Great job! I was wondering if the green foam would be better than using regular styro. It seems to hold detail much better and I am assuming it is a lot easier to work with?
The other plants are ferns, some sort of tropical palm type, and some type of short ground hugging plant.. I'll try to find the name tag for it, it looks cool. Then I had some moss from a small lake behind my house..the real green patch in the back. Everything was from that nursery. Thanks for the comments!
See at the top right corner of the wall, I have a small flower pot in the rock. The red plant is in the same kind of pot. They put them in the walls when the first build the background. I still need another plant for up there. I also have a hidden flower hole on the left side near the top. Hope this helps.
The Bonsai tree was at a local nursery... bonsai's seem to be popping up more at these places lately.. it was only $25!
The Habacrete was very easy to work with,,,I had serious issues with the seller, but finally got the stuff.. it's easy to use, you'll like it, and it's non toxic,
Wow dude thats awesome. I was thinking of getting some HabaCrete. Does it work well. What kind of plants did you use, There really cool. Great Vivarium

this is sweeet. you also sound like a pretty level headed guy.
also i've been looking for this stuff under DIY, 3D backgrounds which is actually what it is... you might want to add that to your tags for more hits.
