  • that thing is illll for sure

  • Take the EGR off. Clean it well with carb cleaner and WD40. Slap that sucker back on.

  • @TMPJR I got rid of the egr altogether

  • EGR block plate. mine had the same prob. that fixed it

  • @Pu7Vk3rz Are you saying you put the EGR back on?

  • @Migillicuty420a

no, not sure if your is removed because of turbo, but mine kept throwing the egr code. they make an EGR block plate that stops the gas from recirculation and forces it to be burned. That kept the eng light off...

  • sweet man !!! I like it

  • is there any bigger turbo that work on 420a?

  • Love everything you did to the car. Exept the front bumper. Sorry, it looks like you put a lot of work in to it. But not my style.

  • Post a driving vid ASAP! It's a great car

  • where did you get the steering wheel air bag cover

  • @pcsolawman1 I made it

  • @Migillicuty420a is that how you made the hood to?

  • @DaGhettoGuyz Yep just modified the stock one then made a mold of it. The stock hood weighed in at 43 lbs and the home made one is 12 lbs.

  • How did you mold that bumper?

  • @DaGhettoGuyz I modified the stock one then made a female mold of it with fiberglass then casted a final fiberglass one out of that. It took along time to do.

  • how did you make that bumper i understand fiberglass but how di you get it so semetrical?

  • How expensive was this build, man? It's amazing

  • I like the eclipse its clean is she fast?

  • @Homefry1982 ya its pretty quick I just am having some blow off valve issues I got to get figured out then I'll do a video of me driving it.

  • wat the missin link do?? jus gettin back into dsm got a 96 eclipse 420aT

  • @2000ninjazx12r The missing link is a check valve made to mount between the manifold and the map sensor. Its purpose is to block boost from getting to the sensor. If the MAP sensor reads boost it tells the computer to stop spraying fuel and the car will stall and shut off.

  • @Migillicuty420a wat ratio fmu you runnin

  • @2000ninjazx12r Right now its the 12:1 although I'm pretty sure I could put in my 10:1 or 8:1 disc. Just haven't bothered testing it lately lol too busy with other stuff.

  • Yeah 361assassin is probably a stock honda civic enthusiast(ricer).

  • Anyways are you running the Megasquirt system or Hahn Portfueler?

  • Comment removed

  • @JBMSTRIKER71 Right now I just have 310cc injectors with a 255hp walbro and a adjustable fpr and a vortech fmu. i would love to get my hands on a portfueler though!

  • Yeah, I did not understand why the fuck they would Chrome plate the flange? Not to mention the welding was to gd terrible.

  • Hey brother nice eclipse. You resurfaced the flange of your obx intake manifold,

  • @JBMSTRIKER71 I didnt resurface the flange I used the gasket it came with and used the copper rtv silicone on both sides. It passes the boost leak test. I did however port the shiz out of the inside of the flange because the runners do not line up to the flange very well from obx so I had to remove a ton of metal to get a smooth transition between the two.

  • I haz 98 gsx......but that shit tight

  • very very impressive. i have a similar engine build. bout the same size turbo but i think my turbo timer was hooked up half ass. cuz no matter what i set it at in only boosts to about nine psi. any pointers?

  • @kendrajean2012 The turbo timer has nothing to do with the amount of boost you run. All a turbo timer does is keep your car running after you take the key out so the turbo can do its "cool down" cycle. Were you referring to your boost controller? I just put in a 9 psi wastegate spring so I dont have to even deal with one of those.

  • @Migillicuty420a ya boost controller. no matter what i set it at it wont boost past nine. is that just all my turbo has got? or whats the deal? there are no performance shops close so i dont have anybody to ask

  • @kendrajean2012 One test you can do to make sure its actually a faulty boost controller is disconnect the hose going to your wastegate. This will let the turbo be free to boost its max potential. Just make sure when you drive it to let off the gas pedal when you should so you dont overboost your motor. The idea is just to see if the turbo tries to boost up like crazy then you will know the turbo is fine. If it still does not boost up the next thing would be to inspect for a stuck wastgate valve.

  • @Migillicuty420a ok thanks. how would i go about inspecting for a stuck wastgate valve?

  • @kendrajean2012 Is yours an external wastegate or internal? If its external you just take the little screws of the lid and make sure you have your hand on it so it does not shoot the lid into your face. then you lift the spring out and you can grab the rod of the valve and try to move it up and down. I personally like so spray some high temp silicone lube on the shaft when its exposed to make sure it works good. What turbo do you have? you can e-mail me at gallacmic@yahoo.com

  • @Migillicuty420a its external and a T3 48 a/r turbo. thanks for all the help i appreciate it

  • i want that carbon sunroof so sick

  • how did you make the thing for the sunroof. please let me know how, i have wanted to get rid of my sunroof for so long.

  • GO GO GADGET ECLIPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! awesome ride dude

  • @Gtrainmusik As far as I know the only exhaust manifolds for the 420a accept a t-3 t-4 flange. So as long as the truck had the same flange you could do any turbo you wanted as long as it could fit under there lol.

  • Badass 2G Bro! I'm a freak for body work and that bumper has me in awe! Ur 420 built is nice too keep up the good work!

  • @bluemagoo thanks man!

  • @Gtrainmusik I cant make the hood I actually have all my stuff packed up before I go to school. I had the steering wheel cover already made. You could have it for $10 plus shipping if you want. I also have a custom cup holder plug I made you can have for $5. If you give me your e-mail I'll send you pics first.

  • @Gtrainmusik Thanks bro! I have an extra steering wheel cover if you want its just like the one in the clip only its not painted yet.

  • imagine this, you roll up at a light with your eclipse, on the outside, it looks normal, in about 30 seconds, its gonna go fast, mean while the other guy antagonizing you shits his draws because he was fooled thinking you had nothing under the hod, mean while you laugh like an evil genius because he slept and you put him to sleep. having a stock body with a beast of a motor hidden underneath, if it see's red, its pissed, if it sees green, UNLEASH THE BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey, quick question. What compression ratio do you have for your pistons? And, Hows your gas mileage on this beast?

  • @361assassin Are you kidding? That bumper is so original and badass!

  • Wow!

  • How many horses you running under dat hood???

  • Love it bro keep it up!

  • did you dyno the car yet?

  • @stebo331 Not yet I actually had to order some bigger injectors. The stockers cant keep up with the port work and all the larger parts. 310cc are on the way!

  • @Migillicuty420a you will probably need bigger injectors then that but then again i dont know what power/goal you had in mind. Good job on the build man! I like your ingenuity! Keep up the good work!

  • yo the hood looks sick man i love it! did you get bigger cams or just rebuild ya head since you got forged pistons

  • @stebo331 I stuck with the stock cams since its already an interference motor. I did however put in bigger valves and port the heck out of it!!!

  • @stebo331 I stuck with the stock cams since its already an interference motor. I did however put in bigger valves and port the heck out of it!

  • nice set up like the fan temp controller i will invest in one i have a 95 eclipse gs fully built moter would like to run turbo but just got it back toghter and im having a problem getting it to start sux think it might be my ecu just curious wut trim u running on ur turbo and wut down pipe did u use?

  • @420aspooled The turbo is 50 on the exhaust side and 60 on the intake. The down pipe was custom made by myself. I just ordered the right size mandrel bends I needed and cut and welded it all together so it fit nice.

  • that thing is beautiful man, doin some nice work to it.

  • very nice bro...all that hard work pays off..i have a 3g eclipse with the 4g64 boosting 21 pounds..

  • @suzieturbo Awesome!! Man 21 pounds has to screem! Have any vids of that? What do you do for your fuel set up?

  • at first i had a apexi neo piggy back then i upgraded to a aem ecu with a aem fuel rail 255 walbro pump and 660 fuel injectors..dont forget the fuel regulator...my boy has videos of my car in action..i think his youtube name is heightzbest something..look for him on my friends list...

  • i had a question...is it safe to seafoam cars with turbo set ups??

  • @suzieturbo I have never used seafoam and never will. My philosophy is if the engine is in a state to where you need to add "chemicals and potions" to patch things, its probably time to rebuild. If you are wanting to use it to just clean the injectors I would just use some lucas injector cleaner, cheapest at wal-mart I think.

  • @Migillicuty420a ..yeahh.i just want something to clean up my fuel system....

  • how old are u? your very creative and knowledgeable,i admire that:):):):)

  • @mrkhristoff I'm 26 Thank you so much!!

  • @Migillicuty420a PROPS to all the custom work done, thats sick! I love the steering wheel! I just started building my 420aT, and was pretty stoked when I raced a 4g63T and won, haha! The only thing I dont like is the snow on it! haha! I live in wisconsin but I park my eclipse in the winter and drive my beat up ass 92 civic, haha!

  • can 420a beat an h22a prelude ???

  • how much would it cost to have that bumper built? and would u be willing to make one if paid?

  • thanks alot now i need to order this and over night it got races saturday night. another question whatd you do with the stock egr that runs to the back of the stock mani?

  • @smokeywater102 I got rid of my egr valve all together. Buy and egr block off plate on ebay. Then use a special resister from radio shack to plug into the plug that went to the egr solenoid to keep the check engine light off. Don't modify the OBX manifold for the egr, just get the block off plate that bolts to the side of the head. I have another video up that shows you the resistor needed. go to my videos and look for the one called " turbo 420a idle fix and egr check engine light fix"

  • Alright thanks cuz im doing the mani as we speak. did you make the missing link or buy it?

  • @smokeywater102 I bought it off ebay they have a bunch to choose from. Fairly inexpensive too! Mine is the "BLOX" brand. Just type in 420a missing link

  • Why did you built an extention on the side of the intake manny i unserstand for the senor but you couldnt just tap it in?

  • @smokeywater102 If your referring to that gold colored thing its not an extension. Its called a missing link which is actually a check valve to just protect the sensor from boost. Otherwise the car just shuts off. And yes its drilled and tapped to attach to the mani.

  • nice car

  • Its 100% fiberglass. The original bumper was used to make the "plug" then a mold was made off the plug then the final bumper was cast out of the mold via fiberglass. In the end the original bumper was thrown away.

  • Is this all Fiber glass? Or Is it built onto the original bumper?

  • Check engine light? take apart the dash, cut the wire, problem solved! lol

  • I do like the hood i thougt of the same exact thing for it...not to crazh about the bumper tho

  • Legit engine work I give you props but not a fan of all the Paul walker stuff man I'd rather go fast than be loud and watch a movie haha but I like it whatever your into I guess...definatley props bro

  • Thumbs up for the O2 spacer!! Love it

  • how much would i have to pay you for a front bumper like that and a pair of sideskrts to match?

  • @fucktheesshiz Dang I don't know man that bumper was a pain. After I finihed it I yelled out loud, "I'm never making a bumper again!" I don't have any molds made for side skirts at all. If you lived close by I would loan you the mold if you wanted to make your own though.

  • @Migillicuty420a how much for you to mail me that mold ill pay shipping

  • @Migillicuty420a by the way do you buy your molds or do you make them yourself? if you buy them where can i buy one? ive never seen an eclipse with this body kit, or even seen this bodykit online for that matter

  • Hey check out my latest vid of my eclipse I got the idle problem fixed and the egr check engine light fixed. "turbo 420a idle fix and egr check engine light fix"

  • Would it matter what kind it is or the price it is.I see some under $100 then some over $200,is the quality or duration of the cheaper one any good???thanks

  • @josumadre Honestly I have tried the cheap ebay cold air intakes and the expensive ones like AEM and they are all the same!!!! Get on ebay ant type in "eclipse cold air intake" and see how many options there are. You can get some decent ones for around fifty bucks

  • @Migillicuty420a yea i have the AEM V2, an the mounting braket didnt last that long....

  • dang bro sounds like you really like this car but dont we all love an awesome car...i have an rs-t..everything is stock and i dont know what to start off doin to it..any suggestions??

  • @josumadre I would start off with a simple cold air intake. My best advice would be to shop on ebay. Just about everything you can think of for our cars is on there for alot cheaper!! If you need any help during your build hit me up!

  • do you have a dsmtuners account, if so whats the username?

  • @PsychosGeckos No I don't I'm on cardomain though. My username is MGCUSTOMS

  • @Migillicuty420a you should definitly get a dsm tuners account.

  • I love the wheels what type are they? & Also how did you make the hood? i would love to buy one or make one like that.

  • @eclipsegsx765 The wheels brand name is "MB" and the model is "Drifter." I made the hood by mofifying the stock metal one to look just how it does in the video then I made a female mold of it with a ton of fiberglass. Then I casted a final peice out of the female mold with fiberglass again then preped, primered, and painted it. TONS OF WORK!!! WAS NOT REALLY WORTH IT LOL

  • @Migillicuty420a Still looks good tho.

  • also if you can send me a video of you driving it, i would appreciate it. i want to turbo my rs the right way!

  • THATS SICK! i want to do the same thing to my rs, how is it running? how much did all of this cost?

  • @illkickuindanuts now that it's broken in, it's running great. to build the motor was around 8 grand and that's with me doing the labor.

  • Did you ever get rid of the CEL for the missing egr solenoid? Years ago when i got rid of my egr valve i ended up chopping the sensor apart and throwing in a 100ohm 10w resistor. I had to solder it together and then wrap it all in tape but it works great and is a clean install. This way the stock connector stays intact. The radio shack part number is 271-135, it comes with 2 resistors but you only need 1. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • It doesn't get too dirty at all suprisingly!! I need to mount the bumper a little better once I put on the intercooler to close up the famous gap above the bumper and below the hood.

  • i love the "stock" modified hoodscoop. how dirty gets your engine in rain or snow?

  • That is NICE!!!!

  • I should write a novel too...

  • your on my cardomain curran_eclipse is my name on there with the grabber blue 98 gs.

the egr valve i have hurd of people retaping a new one to the obx mani or of cuttin a small peice of a soda can to match the egr block of plate, have a small slit in it to allow a small leak. bolt it behind the egr block off plate and it wil cause a small leak big enough to throw the ecu off to making it think its gettin the air from the exhaust. idk if it works but its worth a try.

  • ya I'm thinking about painting all the red to black again so it has the nice clean stock look.

  • You really could have done without that interior though. I would have kept the whole thing clean myself but still that is really really nice.

  • What the hell I thought benspilk900 was talking shit on my eclipse I didn't realize you two were hashing it out on my video about your eclipse and his camaro lol!!! thats awesome!

  • I hope you didnt buy a blinky light air/fuel guage there absolutly useless,Get a uego wideband for sure like zeitronix,And try to find one that datalogs so you can log your air/fuel ratio instead of having to run it hard and look at the guage the same time,I tuned for around 11.5 afr at WOT and ran great for many years,For 20 psi are you gonna use megasquirt to tune with?Your definitly gonna need a full standalone to pull timing as well as correct air/fuel,Are you gonna run water/meth?

  • @bloodieduckies My a/f gauge is by glow shift. It said it has some programmable features I have not figured it out yet. When I'm at wot its at 12.3 and idle is at 14.7. Not boosting yet. Need a couple more things.

  • Go fuck yourself benspilk900! Lets see you make a body kit from scratch! Queer!

  • @Migillicuty420a he couldnt,He cant even diagnose a simple idle issue lol No help from me thats for sure,That kids a d bag,Nice 420a turbo btw

  • @Migillicuty420a Also if your interested I have a pair of blitz side skirts that will go well with the front,There fiberglass and damaged but working with fiberglass there a real simple cheap fix,If your interested I'll give them to you for $20 for both,I'll send pics or anything if your interested,Just thought I'd add that since they would go well with your car.

  • @bloodieduckies Send me a pic to gallacmic@yahoo.com

  • @Migillicuty420a Lol your'e calling me a queer because I DONT have a body kit? Ill stop right there.

  • oh gawd that thing is hideous

  • @benspilk900 so is your idle issue and 110 whp.

  • @bloodieduckies Dude your'e such a badass with your cobbled together turbo economy car, why don't you bring youre pride and joy to missouri and race my ls1 camaro with 325 horsepower? And my car idles fine now, and is obviously in 10 times better shape than yours, since it has nice stock black interior that is flawless, flawless paint, and I got rid of that damn fart cannon for a stock exhaust. *no broken windshield either*

  • @benspilk900 My last post to ya,No matter what you say about my windshield and my messed up interior just know that you came in here calling out people as ricers and how our cars suck this and that yet in your vid your rocking the biggest muffler on a complete stock 420a naturally asperated,?Couldnt hear my exhauset could ya?and the owner of the car cant even diagnose simple idle issues without replacing 3 or 4 parts which didnt even solve the issue lol so cut the bs and quit talking shit man

  • @bloodieduckies You would bring that up after I mentioned it has an oem muffler on it now, probably thought that fart can was cool. I said multiple times that the car is fixed now if you read the other comments, and fyi I was taking over a full load of classes at missouri s&t, arguably the toughest engineering school in the midwest with a part time job on top of it and I still spent hours testing all the sensors with a multimeter and could find nothing wrong, so the video was a last resort.

  • @bloodieduckies And I only posted on your video because reading the title sounded promising, I was hoping to see some pulls or some technical info but no, just another video of a ragged out eclipse with rap music blaring and guys talking shit on cars that theirs couldn't touch. Sorry yours was the one that pissed me off enough to say something. I enjoy reading about and watching peoples cars built with forged internals that really put out some power, but they are few and far between.

  • nice man im wanting to do sumthing wit my eclipse like this, got it lowerd on talon rims need to built my engine idk everyone say that 420a isnt good but i think it has potential

  • @AutoCannon99 there really fun when turbo even on low boost,Though most would at least upgrade the pistons and rods since the ring lands are the weakest link on the engine you might be happy with 5-8 psi on stock internals,I ran 5 psi for 5 years and 8 psi for almost 2 then sold the car for rwd turbo nissan.

  • Awesome DSM. Killer Body kit. Props all the way*

  • As the 420A runs a MAP sensor (not a MAF) there is only so much you can do with the Neo. It can be utilized to a point, but once you get injectors that are bigger than 330cc it becomes somewhat useless as you cant control pulse width. It is simply a way to lean out idle a bit with larger injectors. The stock spark map on our car is good to around 15psi w/ a 16G size turbo or maybe 12psi w/ a T4 size turbo. This is on a conservative fuel tune. Go any higher, and you risk serious knock.

  • great looking car i love the bumper

  • i must say i dont like ur car but hell you build your car to your likings and not for others so to each his own. and i see you do have alot of cash into it so i must say nice!... lol

  • Hey I got onto 2gnt.com and am not having any luck with info on spark control or the cons or pros of a neo. I have seen many 420a guys on here with the neo and its confusing why they would fork out $400 just so they can adjust idle? Why not just use a afpr??? I always thought that the neo lets you adjust injector pulse width throughout the rpm range?? HELP!!!! I'M LOST NOW!!!

  • Well thats gay that the MSD only puts out the exact same voltage as the stock one! what a waste of money! The vortech fmu I don't think is the sfmu as it is not adjustable in any way. thats why I got the adjjustable 1:1 just so I can try to get the idle better. But currently neither one is actually installed yet. The turbo is not blowing air into the intake yet. I'm not familiar with any sort of spark control for the 420a. Can you enlighten me? What all do you have done to your 420a?

  • You should def join 2GNT and start researching on our boards. It is a great website and you will learn a ton of information on there. We have a lot of very knowledgeable members who will be wiling to help you out as well. If I was you, I would look into running a Hahn Portfueler setup or Megasquirt and Spark.

  • I am fairly certain that if you are running an SFMU, you do not need to use a 1:1 in conjunction. The Neo is only a good idle tuning tool for our car, and if you decide to go with really big injectors, it will not be very useful as you cant control pulse width. As far as spark control, the MSD coil and wires is not a means of control. Furthermore, the MSD is simply an OEM replacement and puts out the same voltage as the stock coil but lacks the longevity. For plugs, go with NGK BKR7E.

  • For my fuel set up I'm going to have a 1:1 AFPR then follwing that in the return line is a Vortech 4:1 FMU. I still need to get an apexi NEO and Walbro also. For the spark I have the MSD coil and 10.4mm wires. I have not decied on the best plugs yet. Still doing R&D

  • Nice looking build man. Only question would be what are you doing for fuel/spark control? Those two aspects of tuning are most important with the 420A. With that size turbo, I would not go past 12psi on the stock spark map. There is no way to get the CEL light off indefinitely with an EGR delete, but there is a way to trick the computer for a good 3-500 miles so you can pass any state inspection. I made a thread about it on 2GNT.com, you should def join. Lots of good info. Good luck!

  • I like what you have done to the 420a. Also the homemade body mods are great. I have built my 420a up also with the same wiseco/eagle rod combo with clevite bearings. I use arp on the rods and the head. Great job though.
