Wasn't it their (first) last tour. It was Steel Wheels in 89-90. I went to one of the L.A. shows. The dolls were the best. He ran like the wind. Yep. Just like I remember.

@JAMitUlimar Definitely Steel Wheels!! Did you go to the LA show @ the Colesseum in Oct. '89? Living Colour & G 'n R opened. It rained lightly during G'nR. Axel was in a foul mood and complained non-stop! When he was done, it stopped raining, the clouds parted to a beautiful moon; like magic! The lights on their amazing set came up and we had the time of our lives -- I'll never forget that show! Still one of the most beautiful productions I have ever seen!! The Stones rocked the house!!

Saw the i max film version of this - brilliant. Where has that medium gone?In Barcelona, the blow-up on the left acquired a football (somehow?!) for the World Cup that June. By the time the band got to London that summer, England's semi final game was on the same night of the gig and the crowd was torn between the band and the football. A dilema for sure. England never win the world cup (since 1966) or get to semi finals; The Stones, bless them, came around more often.
