It was obviously a lot easier with "A Matter of WHO" when you move to NYC. live & volunteer in Tudor City next door to Turtle Bay - and escort students to/from the tours on 1st Avenue, etc. After all,The Lavender Hill Mob & Kind Hearts played Atlanta - though Quite Delayed after UK release dates.
@jonjamg - Thanks - I will accept it without condition. If I ever get back to the island of bubble & squeak - I have to do the usual - Ealing Pinewood, Boreham Wood, (motorhead- Silverstone) + Imperial War Museum to see Jaguar USA - Mike Dale's Spit + Bob Tullius' Donald Duck P-51 Mustang in the air section.// Maybe a trip on the Edinburgh night mail for "Robbery"? II'l probably have to head to Wales just 'cause CZ-J Douglas is the prettiest recent British export to the colonies.
Ah, but I had the advantage of a cinema in Atlanta that showed The Mouse.., etc. But I also had the advantage of moving to NYC, working with foreign HS students & US HS students going abroad + a thriving NYC repertory cinema network Walter Reade, etc in NYC. Course, a short wave receiver getting Mother Beebe World service didn't hurt either.
+ some brief travel +
There are some colonials who get an exposure to the wider world both here & by travel.
