  • So I'm guessing once assembled, the Dragoons aren't supposed to detach?

  • @Xephon0930 No, they're meant to come off

  • what did you use for matte finish?

  • I'm a bit torn on this kit.I'm most likely going to be working on the MK-II and the eventual PG Unicorn and will try to re-do my botched 00 Raiser before I go for this kit.

  • @Xephon0930 A PG Unicorn sadly won't be happening as Bandai has said they don't wanna risk it.

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer Well that sucks with a capital S. As if they haven't pissed me off enough as it is.

  • @Xephon0930 I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for a 1/144 HGUC Nightingale. Well who knows. Maybe they'll change their minds in the future. But think about it: A fully transformable PG Unicorn with LED's for the entire body would be painfully expensive. BTW Bandai said that they have a prototype MG Kshatriya but it requires metal rods to hold up the binders. So we probably won't be getting that in the near future either.

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer The Unicorn is one of those Perfect Grades where it's the "I don't care if it costs me an arm and a leg just as long as it deserves that title!!!" kind of model kit.

  • Very thorough and not biased, good review. The inner frame indeed is a bit let down considering Bandai really went cheap on the gold parts after charging 300 bucks.

  • if i get this i will probably take the backpack and Dragoons off and put them somewhere(dont like balance issues and im not risking the tab holding it to the backpack snapping right off)

  • i think this is the second or third time to watch your videos. your reviews are way better than mine. i dont know the names of the gundam shit. but i do know beam saber.

  • @robotadventures Thanks, but no there not... you have me falling around the place laughing all the time!

  • I'm gonna build this as soon as I finished the Gat-105X Strike Gundam [PG] I just finished, Gundam GP01-FB [PG], I'm planning on buying, Gundam Astray Red Frame, but it might took me a while.

  • Like your review mann...Short, clean and detailed ! Unlike those who did lots of talking without mentioning pros n cons accurately...Thumb up !!

  • this is a great review wizartar!!! lookin forward to building my own soon..just wonder when that will be?? yours looks really good bro! great job man! love it!

  • @Wizartar Are you going to get the Revoltech Evolution Series of the Evangelions?

  • @AlucardEmmanuel I have them, just got the Mark VI this morning, but my real life is crazy busy with building in my house for a while now... hope to review them before the end of the year.

  • @Wizartar Don´t worry, but if I were you I would be really pissed off about it, I mean, getting all the revoltech Evangelions from the movie and know there are another ones that are significantly better, that company deserves to be sued for all they got haha

  • hows life man, havent done any reviews for almost 6 months >.<

  • @StillC00lerThanU Very busy :( Plan to do more reviews, once real life isn't hectic...

  • Cool review also I live up North and I was wondering where do you get your kits, do you order them from online sites or is there any shops down south that have them?

  • @NeoCCG Online is the only way to go

  • @Wizartar What sites would be best, is there any hobby sites that sell these?

  • @NeoCCG Best sites are HLJ or Amiami there are others but have found those two the best.

  • @Wizartar Thanks for the advice, recently I have been on HJL and its good but haven't heard of the other one. I was just curious to find out if there was any sites that were based in the UK and they was only one which had a very limited selection.

  • how much does this model cost. i only have one shop in my whole city that sells these kits, and i don't want to have to bus all the way there and find out i can't afford it. I'm in canada. please respond, thanks.

  • @1NINJAD This model costs about $300 Canadian. I got mine in Hong Kong.If you want to know, it cost $2349 HKD. In case you are wondering about shipping, I wouldn't know because I had relatives coming back from Hong Kong, so they brought it back.

  • I asume you would be reviewing the Revoltech Evangelion Mark 06

  • what kind of camera did you use

  • @GoldenRicecooker a Canon VIXIA HF100 on a Konig KN-TRIPOD100. Also using a Marshall MXL USB .008 Condenser Mic Voice overs and a Canon DM-100 Shotgun Mic for the Camcorder.

  • And,wizartar is this PG Strike Freedom Gundam need any paint work?Or it is already painted all when its bought?Pls reply me in massage pls and also the comment that i post earlier,TQ and nice gundam you have must have cost alot for your whole collection! xD.

  • @OriginalDeBest96 No real painting is required. But I didn't like the grey colour used, as explained in the vid, so repainted some parts. It was the same for the blue on the dragoons, wanted a darker shade.

  • @Wizartar Where did you buy those gundam markers from?

  • Hey,wizartar where do you buy those gundam marker, paint and stuff like that from?

  • @OriginalDeBest96 Local hobby shops, or somewhere like HLJ or HobbySearch

  • 5:03 that's a pretty sexy pose :D

  • i need to save money because it it cost $100 and under $200 in singapore

  • @PhamtomMagic good 4 you mine in malaysia cost double the price of yours, damn it ><

  • Currently drooling to get one...

  • Great review....attention to deteail is incrediable...keep up the good work...I do not currently have any of the patience to creat such nice models..

  • are you gonna do more eva reviews? theres a new eva 3 that has the fourth arms and everything!

  • Great to have you back making vids! Great unit! Great review! Cheers!

  • @eckergus Thanks, now it's your turn! lol XD

  • that's a great figure. how much is it there in the U.K.? its sold on retail here but the price is insanely expensive, equivalent to about US$450.00.

  • @iramrd It should go for about $300 US, someone's looking to rip you off.

  • sir wizartar, at the articulation section of this review, you haven't show to us the articulation of its stomach and hip section but btw, great review though.. :)

  • @bryanz09 Thanks, very true should have included for completeness, but IMO it's pointless.

  • O_O

    *nerdgasm*

  • Would've liked to hear about whether or not you find it value for money (Or, as the case may be, how poor value it is), but otherwise nice stuff.

I really enjoy how it's being sold at such discounted rates; looks like the Japanese who are supposed to be huge fans of the SF didn't bite in a big way either.

Also, I echo calls for more reviews from you!

  • Great review. Yer, Bandai cheaped out. No buts about it... ; )

  • HATER!!!!, If ppl want there inner frame let alone any of the parts colors to look more decent then just like u yourself has done they would paint it!, hell lots of ppl like to paint theres kits. The only real problem is using hollow pegs instead of dicast with connecting the wings to the backpack!

  • @T33RO I wouldn't call him a hater, I mean, he did buy it. He's just saying that it wasn't very practical compared to a lot of other kits.

  • thank you for the info. but I have to ask witch is your fave PG?

  • Wizartar.... bes review EVER, you spoke every aspect of the kit in a resumed form, and therefore helped me to decide if i'd get this big boy... i'm gonna get his MG and that's it, Thank you very much.

Now that i look into it, This PG looks like an oversized MG.

  • it definitely looks great, but its so expensive and the dragoons seem to be a common problem D: i would probably get something like the Mk II before this

    and lol Kakito Hajime

  • Nice to see your finished VF-25 :)

  • I think I have to agree with everything you said. The dragoons are a pain(mine broke, replacements now being shipped) and the build wasn't as fun as it should be. The inner frame is also disappointing, and doesn't have the detail of even the 00. While I'm still kinda glad I bought the kit, I think I might have been better off with another PG. Then again, it DOES look fantastic.

  • @ndalum75 Try lookin into the PG's that came out before the Red Frame. Most of them still have top notch posability, are cheaper, and have opening panels in their armor so you don't have to buy clear parts.

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer Yeah, I think my Next PG will be Char's Zaku, unless Bandai announces a PG Unicorn.

  • @ndalum75 A PG Unicorn would be massive, but unless Bandai perfects the transforming they'll have a major problem. I've been told that the PG Zeta has nothing but stability problems when in MS mode.

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer Really, I'd heard nothing but good things about the PG Zeta.

  • @ndalum75 Interesting. Maybe it's the quality of the kits?

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer I don't know. Then again, my only two sources are an MAHQ review and a badly translated review on dalong.net

  • Does this mean we'll be seeing more reviews from you? Please say yes??? :)

  • I am glad your back~~ Hope to see some evangelion reviews, they awesome and funny :D

  • @Wizartar Cool review. Though this has been done so many times already. =P Anyway, for me, MG kits is good enough. PG kits are too big, too expensive, and too time consuming IMO...but I have to admit that PG kits have epic quality right out of the box.

  • about time we see a review from u sir good as always

  • Wizartar you obvisouly do the best reviews on the macross series......but...your model reviews have to...be just as good they are very informative, and you cover all areas of interest....attention to detail......Great!!

Only wish I had the skill and patience to assemble a model

  • Can we expect any macross reviews in the near future? Maybe a certain red valk? :)

Anyways I think this kit is a waste of a PG, I also think they simplified it because most seed destiny fans in japan are just general anime fans and girls who aren't hard core Gundam fans and kit builders

  • Great to see you back Wizartar with a great review!!!!

  • YOU WAITH 5 MONTHS OR MORE TO SAY......DONT BUY IT ???!!!!! C´MON, FOR REAL !!!, IT IS NOT A EASY WAY TO BUILD, ITS A PG !!! SHAME ON YOU WIZARTAR!! SHAME ON YOU.

  • @nos52 But I had to give people the opportunity to make the same mistake I did... O_o Wow is me, I'm shamed.

  • @Wizartar LOL well dude i personally enjoy so fu&%@ much the build, may be not the wings unit, but you right. peace.

  • @Wizartar Now go stand in the naughty corner and think some more about what you have done... (walks away and shakes his head in disgust...)

xD To induce such raging caps your review is made of WIN!

  • @nos52 He's built all the other PG kits. I think he knows what he's talking about. Whats the point of an independent review if he is just going to say "buy it" everytime.

If its not up to his standards then he can say whatever he wants.

  • @nos52 Dude, he's built other PG's before. He knows what he's talking about. A good review doesn't mean the person says "it's good!" It's when one deconstructs it by addressing all the good and bad.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand i came

  • Amazing review. :D

  • A great watch! I was tempted to grab this pg but after your honest opinion- methinks MG would be wiser.

  • Great to see you back, Mr. Irish man!

  • Jazz lol! Nice to see you doing a new review.

  • Fantastic review Sir, irrespective of the issues I've seen and heard relating to this PG, once this is posed in FBM all of the problems are forgotten, this is a beautiful PG when displayed fully.

Loved your painti work on the model itself, and the editing and presentation of this video is truly exceptional.

  • @tc012009 Thanks, finally got a chance to hit Marks Models and got some of that Gun Metal & Gold, looking forward to trying it out... as soon as I finish Portal 2.

  • @Wizartar Awsome review fast and Forward Good Job love the painting you done to it Love too Know what Will Bandai Next Perfect Grade will be ill like a Nu gundam or Hi NU V2 or V1 Cross Bone or F91 God gundam and last but not least Unicorn gundam would be awsome build

  • Very NIce Review Man :D

  • Very nice, i recently bought one from HLJ on sale, still not been sent out yet though :(

  • Thanks for the review.

  • Nice review as always Wizartar. :D

  • Wizartaaarrrr

  • An excellent review, and a nice build :)

  • AWSOME PAINT JOB!!!

  • Finnaly, a new video after subscribing a few months ago

  • you have 2 PG strike freedom!!!!

  • Which would you recommend? The RX-78 or the Mk. II?

  • @TheAnimeOverviewer Both are really good, so I'd say go with the one you like most... for me that's the Mk-II

  • @Wizartar That's a tough one. The RX-78 is my favorite Gundam of all time, but then again I can't say no to the Mk.II's sexy Titans color scheme.

  • Excellent review.

  • I would say that biggest flaw of this model kit is that its so back heavy to the extreme.

  • it costed..how much?one billion of trillion of dollars? :p

  • @Zontar82 25,000 Yen, but some online shops have it on sale at 15,000.

  • @Zontar82 Or about 180 - 300 dollars, which isn't bad for a perfect grade Gundam model.

  • Finally !
