Hey just happened across this web page cause it mentioned Tesla and speed of light particles. I was searching tesla hu but just impossible cause its non searchable doc postings and not pages. Tesla mentioned five times the speed of light we think are neutrinos from K Capture of electrons hitting protons giving neutrons and neutrinos from the Billion Billion Suns of the universe according to Tesla. Tesla went on to capture their free energy in various ways that William R. Lyne is able to do.

no he didnt. There is no way for any particle to travel faster than c, the speed of light in a vacuum. If a particle travels faster than light in a medium, it release cerenkov radiation, lowering its velocity to the speed of light in that medium.

Photons are the smallest particle in the standard model, with no mass and the fastest they can travel is at c. Anything with mass approaching the speed of light will not increase in velocity if more energy is applied, it only gains mass. this has been proven both by relativity and by particle accelerators. @Adrenalx42 No. Particles cannot travel faster than light 'in a medium'. Even photons have an effective speed of less than 'c' in physical media other than vacuum. This is because the photons interact with matter, getting absorbed, and re-emitted... and this takes time. When the photons *are* free and in motion, they travel at exactly 'c'... until they strike another atom. It's like all the time you waste awaiting connections at airports.

obviously the sun isnt the only source, but man isnt that close either lol.tesla talked of this many times, there is 4-5 articles on these ftl effects, the wardenclyffe tower itself was able to transport energy aabout 1.5 to 2 times the speed of light, this system comes down the to curvature of the earth and the process where the energy has to cover equal area on the surface to the energy traveling straight through the earth so energy on the surface has to travel 2 times the speed in the earth.

@boxa888 This speed isnt faster than light in a vacuum. Photons have 0 mass and cannot travel faster than C. Anything with mass cannot travel even at the speed of light, let alone faster. You don't know what your talking about. Energy transported this way would have to be in the form of photons, and photons can only travel at or lower than the speed of light. Obviously your wrong, and tesla was wrong to claim this. End of story.

tachyons havent been proven to exist. It would be impossible to detect because if anything were to travel at a speed > c then it would have to have negative mass, which at this point is impossible

A tachyon is any hypothetical particle that travels at faster-than-light speed. A photon is an elementary particle which carries the energy of light. The photon is a boson, and has no mass. It always moves at the speed of light. the graviton is a boson, hypothetical elementary particle that carries/transfers gravity forces at lightspeed. quarks are hypothetical subatomic, elementary fermionic particles. We should get some important answers from collider experiments though *cross fingers*
