Either he hits too hard on cymbals or he doesn't hit hard enough to the toms (especially kicks). There's a possibility of cymbals being too loose too but the "ssssssss" sound dominates music which is not cool.

@MetalHeadFilipeG96 That's the most funny thing I've ever read. Dave Lombardo is a good thrash dummer and has an iconic status for what he has done for metal drumming. But, let's be serious. Slayer's drumming is very, very basic compared to what today's extreme drummers are playing. Kevin plays Slayer hitting really hard because, compared to what he plays everyday (brutal death metal), Slayer music is 1- basic 2 - not "fast". Believe me : Dave can't play anything by Dying Fetus or Daath.
