I remember setting and watching this game in a state of shock. No team could beat Ohio State, so I thought. What Bo said was exactly correct. When they star hailing you as great "lookout". It was some 11 months earlier that the Baltimore Colts, hailed as "the greatest team of all time" were taken down by the New York Jets, and only 2 months earlier the Mets beat the mighty Orioles in the World Series. When you think you are great, your next loss is around the next corner.

@mike0n0jake0inc I lived in Detroit from 1987-1992. The only year we beat UM was in 1987; Earle's last year. The next 4 years Michigan fans gave me a raft of *&$, saying things like it wasn't a rivalry anymore, MSU is our real rival, etc. For some, this is payback time.

I think the world of Bo; remember him at Miami. He became a Michigan Man but he was still born a Buckeye, and he was always very classy in talking about the rivalry. He and Woody were meant for each other.
