Thanks for sharing,,,, I suffered a massive bleed stroke in april 2011. I lost all muscle control on my right side.. I spent 7 weeks in ICU and acute rehab. I did a month of inpatient therapy and 3 months out outpatient therapy. I regained most of the use of my hand arm and leg, and am still working to improve my walking and endurance/flexibility. I wrote a blog .. youtube blocks the links but its shottothedome dinstudio com.
Support stroke education. 1 in 15 deaths are caused by stroke. It is the number cause of long-term disability. Stroke survivors are some of the most inspirational people that you will ever meet. This video is so emotional. It is raw...real and beautiful. Bitter-sweet and so effective. Wonderful.
I am 20 and today I heard about one person who actually had one , she is in hospital and was only 60 , I searched on the net to learn more and I just realised that not really all bad things can be prevented , if god wants you to go that this is how it is , very sad , the way we live and die ... life is really sad when you think that all the people you really love can just go like that , all the memories in one second ....
@TaviYamato but generally life i is awesome, had my stroke sept 15th 2008 at 17. as one famous movie said "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get" lol
Stroke does afftect speech in some cases. Some styroke survivors after rehabilitation might suffer from aphasia which is a disorder that results from damage to portions of the brain that are responsible for language.
There are riskfactors that when controlled can decrease the risk of a stroke. These include Controlling your blood pressure, quit smoking, be physicallyactive, maintain a healthy weight and improve your diet, manage stress, keep on taking medications and visit your doctor regularly. The doctor is very important because he can track family history of stroke and you blood pressure readings.
thanks for sharing!!!......as a stroke survivor as well i think that you are doing wonderfully well and thanks to your wife for being so supportive that support is the most important of all you are doing great!!!...keep on fighting it is not an easy road we need to prove to some doctors that they are wrong and that only God knows what we will be able or not to do hugs and once again thanks for sharing

@Lifsotre Injuries can cause the blood to clot in certain places, thus eventually leading to a stroke.

@TaviYamato Although not all bad things can be prevented, one can still do all that is possible to live a healthy, fulfilling and enjoyable life.
