I dig the 80s type of approach the the JC and the Boys project
It ROCKS!!! Makes me want to pick-up my Guitfiddle and jam along in a sort-a-cutting-heads-way! For those that are not familiar with the "terminology" it means guitar-shredding back and forth.
This cd kicked butt. I still have it and listen to it every now and then. Fire and Love was also a great one. But two really different sounds and styles. Eitherway... good stuff.
You could swear they were all fruitcakes back then. Good thing their wives made them change their looks later on. Hahaha. And Rowe deffinitely looks like Axl Rose. I saw them in concert twice during the "Bottle Rocket" tour when I was 10 or something. Got to video tape some of it too.
I still love this solo. Tony had a good sound going on and was nice to see someone playing a Pacifica. Too bad he's not going out with them this year to play some shows but I guess you don't wanna give up steady studio work. Jamie rowe's voice is sooo good.
Having worked with them professionally during their first incarnation (ever so briefly) .. I can honestly say that despite the clear and present situation, they seemed to perform well together. I can honestly say they were polite, friendly and hardworking. But I will always remember Willowbrook Mall, and watching Rikk look for that Gawd aweful cologne *LOL*
I first saw this video back when I was like 11... I taped it from a late-night music video show and that was what got me to buy their album. Miracle Mile is still one of my favorite albums ever! I love the guitar work.
i was in a band called soul child..we had the pleasure to open for guardian a few times...great bunch of guys...jamie's wife used to keep in touche with mine...so that was cool...good people
i followed this band since i was 10 in brazil, too bad they're not together now. All those good old bands such White Cross, Strypers, Petra and best of all GUARDIAN whith their unmatchable blues style.
Guardian is my all time fave Christian band and it sucks that I never got a chance to see them live. I've been a huge fan since Jamie joined for "Fire and Love".
It's my favorite white metal band. I saw them in France ten or twelve years ago. What a pitty there are only several christians to watch them and the sound was awful...
One of my favorite bands ... and I'm agnostic! MM was a great album as was FAL.

Fire and Love and Miracle Mile were my two favourites, though I really liked Swing too. It was a bit different, but I really liked it.

Tony Polacios(sp?) one of the best unknown guitarists ever.
I was one of the biggest Guardian fans on the planet when they were putting out albums, I own every one of them.
This might have been my favorite song of theirs, but this whole album was full of hits.

Huh. I've owned this album for about 10 years, and never had any idea Shoeshine Johnny was black. Weird.
Am I the only one that thinks Jamie looks like Axl Rose and Tony looks like Nuno Bettencourt?
